09/11/2024: Delicious food and friendly staff!

20/10/2024: Be me. Travel alone. It's cold and a bit breezy. Do some quick googling. Realize you can't get in to the Michelin started place. Fallback and COME HERE! Be warned it will be busy. The people know about this place. The place looks a lot bigger on the outside (opposite TARDIS). Inside there might be about 8 seats. The Q is packed. Order for take away and miss out on some specials. The staff is helpful and friendly even for a foreigner like myself. I got a prawn onigiri and tantanmen. The onigiri was gigantic, and if you're not terribly hungry it might do you. The diamond was the tantanmen however. This dish was absolute gas. 🔥🔥🔥 I did cry a bit because I'll have to fly back to Cork to get this again. The atmosphere added to the dinner. I felt welcomed, like someone elses home, and home cooking. Thanks for making feel like family for the evening. Immaculate. 💙

11/09/2024: You’re only stop if watching Celtic play a match, big screens and plenty of small ones and the place fills up with die hard Celts which creates a superb atmosphere especially for the old firm games. The stout is very good here too and the local Beamish can be got for a fiver a pint, which is fair given the proximity of the pub to the city centre, just a 5 min walk down the hill. No beer garden which is a disappointment and no food options but it’s not that type of establishment, all about the pints and football which is fine by me

03/11/2024: Great find - just by chance driving by. Stopped to grab a bite to eat, and this is the only reason it doesn't have 5 stars, parking can be a challenge. I side the options of food, seating is great, decor is interesting all be it on the thematic dark side, great artwork thougba dntoilets are in good condition. I had the Smashed Burger, which was delicious.

10/12/2024: A little hidden gem. I had calamari and the calizone pizza. The calamari was pretty good and loved the pizza. Nice place, reminded me of a traditional family style Italian restaurant in Italy, nothing fancy, just a good family style Italian restaurant! Looking forward to going back. I had desert, I shouldn't have, but it was yum too!

29/11/2024: Friendly staff. Great environment. Delicious food. Great beer on tap. What more could you want from your neighborhood pub?

23/11/2024: My family and I visited twice during our recent visit to Cork due to enjoying the food and ambiance so much the first time round. The food was faultless with quality ingredients used, particularly the steak pie and burger with fries. We were made to feel comfortable during our visit by the staff and I was particularly impressed that hygiene was taken seriously when there are many eateries that fall short (I saw a staff member carefully inspecting/wiping each piece of cutlery). Thank you again for a wonderful experience on both occasions and we shall be back in the future.

02/12/2024: Muy buena comida y servicio. Lugar encantador para ir y tener una buena comida. Restaurante hermano en Fuengirola Aroma en callejón de pescado. Ambos lugares son maravillosos.

14/11/2024: Food was OK and good value but we were sat at an awful cramped window table that our legs couldn't fit under. Service really rushed us and ruined the night. Had a 5.30 booking and was early, we were late being seated and told they needed us to be gone for 7. The open kitchen has an extremely poor extractor fan. So much so that our clothes stank of stale chip fat for the night and everyone in the place was coughing and sneezing everytime they cooked something with chilli. Essentially, they retro-fitted a tapas bar into and old pub that doesn't seem suitable for it and did the bare minimum. One final comment, The toilets were in very poor condition and only noticed when leaving.

30/11/2024: Wow! What a place. Can’t deny how good the food here is, but the staff and service make this place what it is. Best roast dinner I’ve ever had. 10/10 recommend!

02/12/2024: Called here for lunch with the family Sunday..all I can say is WOW...nicest meal we've had in a long time..cant praise the staff enough..went above & beyond..and so friendly.. We will definitely be calling again soon!

14/11/2024: Tried the new Breakfast menu here last weekend and it was delicious, both of us got the full brook and we couldn’t fault it, plenty to share with our toddler who loves the brook too! The staff were lovely as always and we thought the price was reasonable considering most other places charge similar plus extra for tea/coffee. Looking forward to going back!

24/11/2024: Stunning little bar. Bar staff very friendly, best spicy marg I’ve ever had. Plenty of games to play, wide drinks range. Free crisps. What more do you want.

16/11/2024: It was a super busy night and vibe seemed really good, but unfortunately, bar staff were extremely rude to me. I understand when it's busy people can be under pressure, but how she spoke to me was so unkind, which was a really negative interaction that left me feeling extremely unwelcome. She then without taking my order, went on serving other people/friends comming to the bar after me for another ten minutes.
