20/05/2025: Best Chinese restaurant in Cork. I highly recommend the roast meats, or the traditional Chinese menu, especially the Hunan Spicy Beef or the Fish Fragrance Shredded Pork (which is fishy in name only - it's a translation thing!).

18/06/2025: Hailing from very Asian areas, I'm used to a wider variety (rose is my current favorite flavor), I feel their selections were somewhat limited, but still yummy!

18/06/2025: Ordered the iced macha vanilla latte. I had never tried macha before and it was gorgeous. Also the cakes are lovely I went less than an hour before closing and the Blondie still tastes fresh. Lovely walk beside it too.

13/06/2025: I go to boxed every morning for my coffee and I have the best experience with everyone of the staff and especially Ella she’s always so bright and bubbly and has an excellent customer service skills .. I highly recommend boxed 5stars all the way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

04/07/2025: Sports pub, modern music but good atmosphere, we ordered a selection of grilled meats that was good for two, even enough if you don't eat much.

01/07/2025: Really nice place ! We had a breakfast for dinner, we were just a bit sad that we weren't seated with the rest of the bar, but it was nice ! Cheap option, it was the small breakfast too but it was more than enough !

03/07/2025: Best meal we had in Cork!! We went in around 8pm without a reservation and got seated right away, it was busy though! The staff quickly took our orders and we had a feast in front of us within 25min. Didn’t get photos of everything! The Madhesh Duck Curry has 3 chili peppers next to it on the menu but it wasn’t spicy at all which was slightly disappointing but it was still very tasty. If we lived closeby we’d definitely be regulars here. Highly recommend!

04/07/2025: Durante mucho tiempo los Tagliatelle al Pollo fueron mi plato n°1 de Il Padrino, así que cuando me volví vegetariano en 2018, dejé de volver simplemente porque no podía comer mi plato favorito de allí. Sin embargo, 7 años después, vuelvo a comer carne y Il Padrino fue mi primera comida fuera de casa. Por supuesto, pedí Tagliatelle al Pollo y ¡siguieron teniendo el mismo nivel que hace 7 años! Fue un sueño. La comida estaba deliciosa, mi pareja (que nunca había estado antes) dijo que era la mejor comida italiana que había probado nunca. Comida maravillosa, vino, ambiente y personal. Felicitaciones a todos los involucrados.

23/06/2025: Tried the taster session yesterday and it was my first time ever doing something like this. Gerald was our instructor and he was so attentive and easy to chat to , really calmed any nerves I had going in. Will definitely consider starting climbing as a hobby now!

07/06/2025: Pedí el aguacate en tostadas con huevos escalfados para el desayuno. Los huevos salieron duros, fríos y nadando en el agua. La tostada también estaba dura y fría con aguacate estándar de la ciénaga y tomates picados con poco o ningún condimento que era tan frío que también podría haber venido del congelador. Cuando se lo puse en conocimiento de los directivos mientras prestaba atención me despidió completamente argumentando que es el best seller del menú. Le expliqué lo que estaba mal con el plato y él lo eliminó diciendo “el aguacate tiene que mantenerse en la nevera” que no tenía nada que ver con el problema real y sentí como si me estuviera hablando. Pronto me di cuenta de que no tenía sentido explicarlo más, ya que estaba tomando una actitud y no estaba lista para tener una discusión sobre el aguacate y las tostadas frente a mi hijo pequeño. En general, nuestra experiencia fue impactante. Lo que se suponía que iba a ser un desayuno encantador con mi familia se volvió muy amargo y honestamente puso un downer en el resto de nuestra mañana. Pagué por la comida que no podía comer y me fui sintiendo hambriento, insatisfecho y molesto por cómo me habían tratado. Por trabajar en la industria yo mismo sé que hay algo serio de capacitación de servicio al cliente que hacer y es seguro decir que no volveremos de nuevo. Es una lástima ya que había sido uno de nuestros lugares preferidos durante un tiempo y hemos dado al lugar un montón de negocios en el pasado. Mi consejo a cualquiera que esté leyendo estas críticas y considerando un buen lugar para desayunar en la ciudad de Cork, no pierda su tiempo o dinero. Hay un montón de lugares más agradables alrededor que le tratará con respeto y una experiencia agradable.

07/06/2025: SEND MANAGER ON A CUSTOMER TRAINING COURSE. The guy would not listen to my partner who had genuine concerns about how the food was cooked. He didn’t care, he still charged full price when food was barely touched. It’s a dingey, dark depressing place and this manager is clueless and needs a change of career. The floor staff were lovely, it must be tough working with that guy all day. AVOID.

28/06/2025: After grey days, my friend and I had the pleasure of finding Marcello's restaurant. Excellent food, "real" ingredients, excellent quality. All served with an excellent Nero d'Avola and to finish an excellent Amaro del Capo. Marcello is an excellent host and together with his daughter super welcoming ... and everything immediately makes you feel at "home".

14/07/2025: Absolutely Outstanding! What a fantastic Italian restaurant. The menu is truly epic, there’s something for everyone, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. The flavours and textures were incredible, clearly made with care and authentic ingredients. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. We were greeted with a smile, shown to our table, and asked if everything was to our liking. The service was flawless throughout , perfectly timed between courses, attentive without being overbearing. All in all, the food was exquisite, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was second to none. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Cork. 10/10 experience! Thanks Guys 🙂
