The best restaurants in Cork

13/02/2025: We were in Shepperton on a whim as my sister and I grew up there. On walking up the High Street we decided to visit Mango Cafe. The vegetable Thai Spring Rolls were so delicious and the Chicken Pad Thai was absolutely fabulous. The service was excellent too. I highly recommend this place for a delicious lunch.

For less than €15 I have eaten KYOFTETA, a super balanced dish: salad, beef, chips, pita bread and toppings. It is rare to find a place like this: excellent price, huge portion, super friendly guys and best of all delicious. I want to go back! 07/02/2025: First time here and my only regret is that I haven’t been before. We had the Chicken and Bacon Souvlaki (skewers) meal deal from Taste of Home unit.. absolutely delicious, so fresh and filling. Staff were lovely as well and all for just €15 with a drink. In addition we also had a spicy Neapolitan pizza from Burnt, it wins hands down for one of the best pizzas I have tasted in years! Could not recommend The Black Market any more highly. We parked in the overflow car park with no issues whatsoever… just be aware of the speed bumps there which are hard to see.

26/02/2025: This is my daughter’s favorite cafe, where I order my favorite oat late with single coffe and a coffee bun..mmm;) and my daughter likes to order bubble tea. The room is always clean, cozy, warm, pleasant service. My recommendation!

29/03/2025: Fantastic place for active birthday. Kids were kept entertained for 1 hour and a B-day room and meals were exactly what we wanted them to be - clean, spacious and available enough time before a party to put decorations. Very recommended!

12/03/2025: At UCC Grounds and Campus illuminated with green lights for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day 2025. You mist also visit the Honan Catholic Chapel inside the campus where you can pray fervently and peacefully. The University offers diverse courses and postgrad degree open for all nation.

01/03/2025: An excellent university where only those with the brains to think and do their homework can get in, which is not as few and easy as some people think. I can't help but mention the hard-working students who are studying here, the difficult task they have because it's not a piece of cake, as they say in Portugal. Foreign students are a great help to the university because they demand a lot, but in the end it's worth it.

09/03/2025: We,( a Mom and teenage son)really don't want to post this review as by doing so we are letting you know of one of Cork City's greatest secrets , directly opposite the Train Station. We, by chance came across this coffee shop on the search for pancakes . OMG this find didnt disappoint. The pancakes on staff recommendations were heavenly and the hot chocolate was the best ever also the coffee was great. We were offered 2 or 3 pancakes, thank god we only went for 2 , HUGE portions Quirky venue with very friendly staff. Looking forward to our return trip .

23/03/2025: Welcoming staff. I only ordered an americano as I was on my way to visit someone in the nearby hospital, and I was a little early. Both staff members bore lovely smiles and extremely courteous. After paying, I was told to find a seat, and the americano was delivered very quickly to my table. There were a number of young people seated around and talking quietly to each other at their respective tables. I noted that rolls and sandwiches had been served to several of them. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, and the welcoming warmth of the staff made this a pleasant visit. I did call in again and was met with the same warmth, although the customers were definitely medical students. I noted that some were using their laptops to presumably study. I would certainly use these premises again if I am in the area

25/02/2025: Best coffee in Cork city! When my parents came to visit, I took them to Brightside, and they were blown away by the quality of the coffee. I love their vegan breakfast options, the staff are always wonderfully friendly, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is perhaps a bit of a coffee snob - their drinks are incredible.
