16/06/2026: Only heard about this on the "Yay Cork" website. Subsequently found out it was the old Quin Ryan local pub in a previous life. Decent beer garden out back and you can order pizza from a place a few doors up and eat it in the pub.

25/07/2026: Great tapas, wine and cider choices. One staff member a bit obnoxious in assuming people using the toilet weren't diners til corrected. He did apologise immediately though. Other than that, staff were friendly and attentive. Nice trendy place for a more expensive option.

19/07/2026: I took my mother in for a bite to eat before the Everyman a couple of weeks ago on a lovely sunny evening and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our waiter was so nice and really looked after us. We'll be back again soon. Siobhan

13/09/2026: I had a great time there. Their service and food are amazing. We had fish&chips and Carvery. The venue has a rustic style, however they are quite modern, with robots and online menu which you can place your order as well. I would suggest avoiding the tables on the corner where the robots pass by. You may be surprised by one of the robots stopping close to you. It's no problem, can be funny or discomforting. But not a big deal. I'll be back to try others dishes.

10/08/2025: Visited Route Fourteen with my family for lunch. The food was great, the dining area was spacious, but I have a few points I hope can be considered to improve the service. There were two lunch menus on our visit: one standard lunch menu (same as website) and one specific for the day or week. We ordered from the second menu since they seemed seasonal and more fresh than the regular menu. The prices were similar to other gastropubs around Cork City. I ordered pork belly with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The pork was stuffed with walnuts and dates, a stuffing I would have never thought would taste so nice with pork. Other dishes we had were the "Smash Burger" and Reuben sandwich. We ordered chicken wings with buffalo sauce for starters. Everybody enjoyed their orders but the beef in the Reuben would be better if it was not heated much. For dessert we had a mango and raspberry cheesecake and lemon meringue. Both were presented nicely and tasted amazing. They are best eaten between two people as they are large desserts. We were seated at a bright high table by the window, however we were near a large private booking and I felt a bit under pressure as the staff were setting the tables around us for the arriving diners. Given that the venue was not busy when we arrived, I would have preferred sitting further away from the large group booking. I would highly recommend visiting Route Fourteen on your next day out for lunch or dinner at a gastropub.

20/08/2026: Had an amazing breakfast at The Grumpy Bakers! The food here is excellent and of high quality. Portion sizes are great, and both the sandwich and the pastries were absolutely perfect. The coffee is also excellent. Highly recommended!

01/06/2026: A bit dated, but we were only there to sleep. The staff were always incredibly friendly, but the food in the restaurant was very mysterious, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and helpless for many people. Breakfast had everything you could need. Would gladly stay again.

31/05/2026: I cannot speak more highly of Vijay. He was so obliging with caring for our athletes staying in the the hotel. Supplied us with ice with no issue. We arrived back late & we were never felt unwelcome he was a very good host. He was managing the bar on his own & we were never made to feel nuisance.

18/09/2026: I ordered a flat white — great quality and delicious! My battery was almost dead, and they even let you charge your phone while you enjoy your coffee. Such a nice touch!

16/09/2026: Ideal spot for coffee, it's quite good. My favorite is the matcha with soy milk, which is delicious, and they have perfect sweets to go with it. I highly recommend going!

We received such a warm welcome upon our visit that we immediately felt at home. 😊 The coffee ☕️ was delicious, and the food we ordered was absolutely scrumptious. 😋 There was really nothing to complain about – everything was to our complete satisfaction. We were also thrilled with the location: very tastefully decorated, cozy, and with a truly pleasant atmosphere. 🥰 And then Depeche Mode was playing in the background! 🎶🖤 Honestly: Good coffee, delicious food, nice people, and Depeche Mode – what more could you want? 😎 We felt completely at ease here and will definitely be back.
