19/06/2026: At the moment when we get in, three tables were free and three were occupied. Two of free tables were for six people, and one for four. Although it was only two of us, we asked if we can get one of tables for six, because table for four is next to the door, and delivery service is also operating though that door. We were rejected with explanation that those tables are reserved. We ordered two pizzas, one on a gluten free base, and one pint of beer, (they don't have gluten free beer). Order was served in 15ish minutes and then the personal were changed.(Shift) Then, a single person enters and asked for a table, and, now a new waiter points guest for one of free tables for six. Wich obviously were not reserved. Both pizzas were delicious and perfect in all ways. Gluten free base was the best one I had in ages. It would be nice if GF beer was available too. Staff were friendly and polite. Place is clean and well maintained. We will come back, but not at the table next to the door.

08/04/2026: It's ashame this pub is closing tonight because it is one of the nicest pubs in Cork City the food i had was perfect Heineken zero beautiful. Ok the service wasn't the best tonight but i guess that was to be expected with staff loosing there jobs. The pub was busy they were short staff. I really hope someone buys this pub. It has serious potential. Anytime i walked past this place it was busy it just needs to new ownership and management train new staff the food is perfect.

13/09/2025: Server was lovely. But! I got ONE spoon of granola in my açai bowl which was kind of ridiculous. For €10.50 I should be getting at least three spoons. The barista made a great coffee but like price for return is non existent. Could be great as the location is handy and the cafe itself is lovely inside. Potentially a great place, but not quite there.

22/07/2026: This was my second time coming here and unfortunely both times there was some issues. The first we got asked to leave our table as our reservation time was up- which is fair enough as its mentioned on the website when booking that they only allow 1hr 10 but I was wanting to get a coffee and cake after our food and I felt we were rushed. We had been sat with empty plates for about 10-15 minutes in which time they could have been cleared and we could have been offered a tea or coffee. Today was the second time and it was very dissappointing. The service was so slow, we waited a while to be seated despite having a reservation and ages until someone came and took our order. Luckily the food did come out quickly. I ordered the corination chicken pitta and it was tasteless, there were wilted salad leaves that I had to pick out, there were only two bits of pickled onions in the sandwich which was the only thing with any flavour. I really regretted ordering this and the price was robbery considering the gone-off lettuce and a bit of chicken. The eggs with black pudding was good however and the addition of the apple sauce is a great touch. Afterwards we were fully ignored until eventually I got up and ordered our tea and 2 cookies from the counter. The cookies were very delicious and gooey and I have to say were the best bit of the meal. They did cost €9 for two however, which is a lot! Overall €45 was a very expensive price to pay for bad service and mediocre food :(

18/07/2026: Was left in to bar after a quick search from the bouncer two friends of mine went to go to the toilet and all of a sudden male blonde skinny bartender with a mullet just said we have to get out with no probable cause, I think the service is horrible and we deserved a reason to be told to leave We were just visiting for the weekend and we didn’t deserve that kind of hassle to be treated like a criminal will be taking action this is disgusting

01/06/2026: A bit dated, but we were only there to sleep. The staff were always incredibly friendly, but the food in the restaurant was very mysterious, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and helpless for many people. Breakfast had everything you could need. Would gladly stay again.

31/05/2026: I cannot speak more highly of Vijay. He was so obliging with caring for our athletes staying in the the hotel. Supplied us with ice with no issue. We arrived back late & we were never felt unwelcome he was a very good host. He was managing the bar on his own & we were never made to feel nuisance.

03/05/2026: Got the lunchtime menu, ordered the garlic mushrooms, and the smash burger. I was disappointed- the breading of the mushrooms tasted like they were cooked in bad oil, and the burger, although tasty, was more like a slider rather than a smash patty, also wedges with burger was like warm
