19/05/2026: Baffling lack of customer service. Waited an hour and 45 minutes for a stone cold pizza to be delivered

15/05/2026: First pizza was burnt. Second pizza was only okay. Not very good especially for the price. I recommend avoiding this establishment.

03/06/2026: i ordered loaded fries which they say is sharing plate for 2-3 people but it’s perfect for one person.(€10.50) immaculate 10/10 no notes. service is so quick staff are friendly place is clean and food is amazing!

19/10/2025: Great little spot for coffee. Fab sandwiches too and always a good atmosphere. Big car park around the back but the entrance is a bit hidden

02/01/2026: Best pub of the whole trip through Ireland. Authentic atmosphere and Irish spirit. Calm and with service accompanied by discreet Irish friendliness. The pint of Murphys was the best I drank in Ireland and accompanied by good music it tasted even better.

08/09/2025: Brilliant venue for a small gig It was my first time at this venue and it won't be my last. Monitors where you can't see the performers. Seating is limited so get in early if you're an old fella like me.€6.50 for a pint bottle of Bullmers is very fair for a City centre venue. The only thing I found strange was a plastic container with a glass bottle, But that's venue drinking for you. Definitely highly recommend 💯

30/08/2025: Good venue that gets a good selection/mix of bands. Just saw the lemonheads recently and have seen Mudhoney, Frank Turner, Bob Mould, Buzzco ks, Jello Biafra and many more over the years. Since a makeover the new sound system is much improved from when I first started going in the 90's.

05/04/2026: It is a small pub in the street One gentle man I have met in here bought me four pints of Murphy’s and it was incredible ! I could hardly understand his strong Irish accent but we had a great conversation.

25/12/2025: Very busy in the run up to Xmas. Pleasant and efficient staff. Plenty of snack options. Great views upstairs out onto the bustle of Oliver Plunkett Street. Will be back.

30/05/2026: I was at this bar with friends to celebrate a birthday. While we were seated outside a lady came to the outdoor area asking for money. When we told her no she procedeed to use derogatory language in the faces of impalas customers. This all of happened directly infront of the security staff. The lady noticed the bouncer and aproached him with a hug which the security staff reciprocated. Then the lady kept going across the tables and left her beer can on our table. This was notified to a staff member who recommended to leave the can on our table in case she came back. The staff member was worried in case she came back to find her beer can was not there and this would make her angry. As a result, we ended up minding her beer can until we left. The fact they allowed people to just walk up to their customers asking for money and being disrespecful towards their clients made me feel very unconfortable. This all happened infront of the bouncer.

20/04/2026: It was a great time at KFC (Eastgate), enjoyed the chicken meal and the ambience. The food was served hot with all the staff having smiles on their face. Thank you Mahitha (KFC team member) for support all the way during ordering, payment and enjoying meal (#6222).

03/06/2026: Went on Sunday for the roast dinner. My cousin had the beef, she loved it. I had the veggie option, oven roasted stuffed aubergine. Nowhere else does anything close to this. Absolutely delicious and creative. Both served with roast potatoes, carrots and parsnip, stuffing, cabbage, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. You will not leave hungry! Great value for money too. Well done chef, thank you.

26/05/2026: Came here with a group for my birthday. Arrived early and they seated us anyway. Always a great start. Food was good. Not shout from the rooftops great but good. We all ordered different things and shared. I'll admit when I'm wrong but the steak sandwich was spectacular. Variety of drinks. Can imagine it to be a class place to have a few drinks with the crew on a night out. The interior is amazing and it suits the vibe. All in all not a bad place to go in cork city centre

29/11/2025: Best ice creams I ever had in my life

03/11/2025: Ordered a hot chocolate with kinder Buenos sauce and cream. €5.40. The cream and sauce were very nice but the hot chocolate had no flavour to it at all. I went back with it and asked what was used to make it because I cant taste anything and they apologised but did nothing else.

09/09/2025: To be honest, I didn’t feel welcome here as a younger foreign visitor. The atmosphere felt very closed-off, with most of the crowd being 40–60 year old white locals or American tourists. Tourist and people are in here are friendly, however service from the bartender(maybe the owner) was unfriendly and included microaggressions that made me uncomfortable. I was deprioritised and even looked down on when served a beer. I felt quite sad when I leave here and ruined my trip in Kinsale. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you already fit that demographic.

07/06/2026: I have been here before, it’s a genuine great spot and the food is incredible. Although today I was refused service for wearing a limerick jersey. Me, my father and uncle travelled all the way from Limerick and parked up close by. I the designated driver was starving and wanted to enjoy a lovely breakfast at 10:30. Inside the Silver Key cork. When I asked a servant, if there was any available seats for food. She replied with “food is over, no more food”. But yet I saw the same servant seating a family with children wearing cork jerseys in an available booth & cleaned the table off. To be quite honest. I’m dissapointed. And the atmosphere is brilliant, and the food is amazing, but that completely put me off.
