The best restaurants in Cork

21/10/2026: Hands down one of the best meals I've had in a while. You definitely have to try the carvery—the flavor and preparation were spot on! Special thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality and great service. Very fair value for money as well. Highly recommended!"

12/10/2026: Our freinds booked a table and made a slightly error by booking for two only, but the host was very freindly and accommodating. Took our table of 4 and proceeded to order - wife and I shared the full rubs and full chicken wing combo with hot honey sauce- i mention the sauce cause my wife wanted to pack the left over sauce - of which there was only chips and sauce left to take home - it was that delicious! 👌🏼 Other couple had the the ribeye stacks and said they were superb. 👌🏼 Two wins so far... only issue was that we waited about an hour for n the food before asking the waiter to check. Again the freindly host, came over and apologized sincerely and explaind there had been a glitch and order had not processed. They got crack and food was delivered shortly after, together with another bottle of wine, complimentary for the delay. Truth be told time was flying cause we were chatting in the great atmosphere, making comments about R2D2 running around and just generally having a good time. All in all a lovely- pleasantly long - dinner out. We will be back. And the 5th 🌟 - goes to the the Indian gentleman (sorry didnt get the name) who was our host and a perfect customer service ambassador 😀

11/09/2026: Service was great, girls who served were lovely.. However, unfortunately the Brownie and caramel slice didn’t taste very nice. Very rare that I wouldn’t finish a brownie! Matcha not good either. Maybe just us! 🤷‍♂️

07/08/2026: I ordered my drink matcha with oat milk at the window. I then went for a walk along the Lee Fields. The team is super friendly, fast, and ontop of everything. . The matcha is outstanding as well as their snacks. We have been enjoying their new Matcha lineup as well. Ice matcha yum!!! Definitely visit here and go for a walk along River Lee. Great place for dogs and other pets. Just remember to keep them on a leed. It is wheelchair accessible. There is outdoor seating area and cabins to get out of the rain or sun.

28/09/2025: One of my favorite places to have a lovely coffee and amazing desserts. Staff is always very friendly.

13/09/2025: Server was lovely. But! I got ONE spoon of granola in my açai bowl which was kind of ridiculous. For €10.50 I should be getting at least three spoons. The barista made a great coffee but like price for return is non existent. Could be great as the location is handy and the cafe itself is lovely inside. Potentially a great place, but not quite there.

30/08/2026: I ordered an 18th birthday cake, beautifully decorated but the sponge was terribly dry, very little eaten, disappointed.

28/09/2026: Café Depeche was one of my favorite finds in Cork. They made the best Café Americano I had during my trip. I stopped in early in the morning before breakfast had officially started because I had an early flight. The owner was incredibly kind and made me sourdough toast anyway, which I really appreciated. Her son was there before heading off to school, and it brought back memories of mornings I spent working at my dad’s truck stop when I was younger. There was something really warm and genuine about the place. Highly recommend Café Depeche for coffee and breakfast, especially if you’re staying nearby at The River Lee hotel.

08/09/2026: We went for breakfast and were served very kindly. There's a great variety of food and the place is fantastic, decorated with Depeche Mode themes and their music playing. Fantastic!!

22/10/2026: Sometimes the best finds are those unplanned and stumbled upon by accident. We were actually headed to another coffee shop in the city that we’d earmarked whilst on a day trip on holiday. But we passed this place and I noticed the choice of pour overs and U turned - glad we stopped as the coffee choices, skill and quality was top class. Would return if in the city again and definitely recommend! Dog friendly too :) 🐶

18/10/2026: Only complaint is that they open late on Sunday. Best batch brew in the city.

25/08/2026: Bit of a trip up the hill but worth it. Small tucked away pub but lively for a Sunday. Coors Light pouring plentifully and the Beamish was top. Cash/Card, seemed to prefer cash. Didn't get a chance to explore rest of the pub, just perched at the bar and watched the sports. Friendly service, enjoyed it.

09/06/2026: One of the better Costas. Lots of varied seating and plenty free parking, + a drive through. Service is the usual "robot" from these franchises. €7 for a nice warm scone with butter/jam/cream and flat white in a proper cup. Worth a visit There is a semi-outdoor space with seating for smokers

22/09/2026: This hotel has the potential to be great given it's location and large size but is let down by a lack of upkeep and modernisation. Yes it is an old building but simple things like peeling enamel in the bath and a shower hose which was removed rather than being replaced shouldn't be permitted by management. Decor was dull and tired. Room cleanliness was good but not great. For the price I was a bit disappointed. On a positive note all staff I met were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good. The leisure centre nearby (€10 day pass) was very well equipped with a great pool and sauna.

22/08/2026: Perfect stopover on our journey west. Room was great with everything we needed. Restaurant was closing when we arrived but they still managed to seat and serve us. Food was great too. Very friendly and helpful staff♡ Excellent breakfast, and a takeaway coffee for the journey all refreshed. Thank you Clayton Hotels staff.
