The best restaurants in Cork

26/08/2025: My husband and I wanted pizza. We google searched for pizza near us on our visit to Cork, and this place came up, and the pictures of pizza we saw in the reviews looked amazing! We went to the restaurant and to my surprise, there was no pizza on the menu. I still had a very yummy lasagna, so the food was fine, but was disappointed for the expectation of pizza and no pizza available. Seems they may have gotten a new menu as of August 2025?

20/08/2025: Teh food is phenomenal. We had a cheese plate as an appetizer and lasagna / the house salad as a main. Food tastes home cooked by your Italian nonna. Everything was fresh and extremely well made. Staff was super nice and looked after us well. Because of the size of the restaurant and 3 areas (smoking outside, non smoking outside and inside) there can be small wait times. All in all I definitely recommend you to dine here. It's so very worth it!

03/08/2025: After our recent stay in can only say how wonderful an experience it was, the room was excellent, the staff were lovely, friendly and exceptionally helpful. The good was 10/10. Would highly recommend staying at this venue!

01/06/2025: We were here in 2019. The atmosphere hasn't changed much. And that's a good thing. BDSM is and should remain a rock bar. Here, you sit down, enjoy a few beers, and chat with the locals. The music is more of a side effect. If you're a little peckish, there's also freshly prepared food from the smoker/grill. I had nachos with baked cheese. It's really good here. The Black Dog is always packed on weekends. It's definitely worth a visit...

05/07/2025: Easily one of the best pubs in Cork at the moment. The staff are sound, the pints are always spot on (especially the stout), and the beer garden is a proper gem — clean, spacious, and great vibes all round. There’s a real welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay for “just one more.” Can’t recommend it enough.

13/08/2025: From start to finish, this restaurant and takeaway is pure perfection. The food was fresh, piping hot, and bursting with flavor — you can tell they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in every dish. Portion sizes are generous, and everything arrived exactly on time. The packaging kept it all neat and mess-free, which is a big plus.

12/08/2025: One of the few halal spots in Cork city center and easily the best. The food quality is impeccable. Amazing food and big portion size cannot fault the meal at all.

19/08/2025: I visited Coqbull in Cork with a friend, and our experience was very satisfying: the food was wonderful, with a homemade touch, high-quality ingredients, and at a reasonable price. We were even pleasantly surprised when they offered us some elements of the meal separately, which reinforced that feeling of personalized attention and flexibility in the service. In addition, the vibrant atmosphere stood out, as well as the friendliness and efficiency of the service that Diego provided.

13/08/2025: Really good food and no problem to eat outside with our 2 dogs which we found was rare in Cork.

07/08/2025: If you like Asian food, you must come here to try the Singapore fried rice noodles and the eel pasta. The quick stir-fry flavor is impressive.

09/08/2025: Positive: We spent two nights at The Address, Cork. The hotel is superbly located above the city. Since we booked a room with a balcony facing the city, we always enjoyed a beautiful view of Cork. The hotel's ambiance, a blend of history and modernity, creates a very special charm. You feel like a guest here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was very large, clean, and had a beautiful view of the city. We felt very comfortable there. Breakfast was a colorful mix of Irish breakfast and intercontinental breakfast. There was something for every taste. The staff were able to fulfill any special requests at breakfast. The entire breakfast room, with its special decor, had a very pleasant ambiance. We can recommend the hotel and would book it again if we were in Cork. A quick note regarding the route to Cork city center: Since the hotel is located on a hill on the outskirts of Cork, it's about a 15-minute walk to Cork city center. The return journey involves going up the hill. However, this wasn't a disadvantage for us. We did enjoy the beautiful view, though. It's something to consider if you're not very good on your feet. Cons: The parking situation was a bit tight. There are a few free parking spaces available, but they fill up quickly. Positive: Upon arrival, there was only one EV charging space available. We were allowed to use it and were able to move our car the next morning. After that, we didn't need the car again until our departure.

01/08/2025: This hotel was a classic example of, looks beautiful on the outside, but completely failed to live up to expectations on the inside. The biggest flaw being that the rooms were unbearably hot and there was no ceiling fan or even free-standing fan made available. Even with windows open neither my husband or I were able to sleep more than 30-45 minutes throughout the evening. Front desk provided zero help or solution other than telling us we should’ve asked for a fan, which is pretty unacceptable that the hotel would not be aware of its poorly ventilated rooms prior to guests checking in. Shower also did not work when we showered in the morning as the pressure was very low and then woke stop altogether after a few seconds. Location in terms of proximity to the attractions of Cork was great, but overall would advise staying away from this place!

30/04/2025: Such a wonderful Café, the staff is lovely and the food is too. With all the trees and flowers it's just beautiful to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine with a coffee.

09/01/2025: Been here twice. Lovely Victorian greenhouse set up as cafe. Very good value for money. Greenery around you and fab view of northside.Had a soup and sandwich. Very nice and decent amount. Sandwich wasn't your skinny stuff you get in lots of places. Proper sandwich. Not much parking at all. Better on foot if possible. But worth it. They even give you blankets in winter. It is a greenhouse but heaters also. Definitely return.

29/07/2025: Idle Hour very kindly hosted the afterparty for the Frontrunners & Briskwalkers Cork Pride 5K 2025 in conjunction with Cork Pride. With almost 100 people attending the event the service and atmosphere provided was top notch and we are very grateful for the same.

17/05/2025: Very nice food. Forgot an item with the delivery. They brought it to the house in quarter of an hour. Very friendly and considerate service. Will definitely be ordering my succulent chinese meals from here again.

20/08/2025: Guinness was awful. The staff seemed friendly but when questioned about the quality they became very defensive. Worst Guinness I have had in Cork. I will not go back in the door of the Roundy based on unfriendly staff reaction. They really need to focus on the quality of the drink they are serving and sort it out.

06/08/2025: We had a lovely time here at The Roundy over the bank holiday weekend. Great drinks, relaxing atmosphere, and the staff were nice and welcoming. We will certainly make a habit of returning here when in Cork city.

14/08/2025: The takeaway was tasteless and rubbery, and nowhere near as good as it used to be. It ended up in the bin. I would not recommend it.
