The best restaurants in Cork

27/05/2025: Fairly solid munch. Burger and garlic chips cheese is what I ordered. Chips were perfect, burger was good. Staff were lovely.

10/05/2025: To be honest quite shocked at the service here. I’m a Ballincollig local for nearly 20 years and have gone to the Plaza many times. This time recently, I thought the service was appalling - the lady/manager/owner I’m not sure who is always there uses an out of date till and was extremely abrupt with us when we asked about the receipt. She shouldn’t be front of house if she doesn’t know how to deal with customers. It’s a grand place nothing to write home about anymore.

03/05/2025: Desde la llegada hasta la salida el servicio fue excelente. La opción en el menú era amplia. La comida era excelente, sabores encantadores, la presentación era encantadora, la comida estaba caliente y muy sabrosa. El ambiente era relajado. El personal era muy amable. Buena relación calidad-precio. En general, una excelente experiencia.

24/04/2025: Very poor service. I ordered a portion of chips and was told it would be 5 or 6 minutes. 20 minutes later I watched people who ordered 20 minutes after me receive two boxes of chips and mine were nowhere to be seen. I waited at least 30 almost 40 minutes.

17/04/2025: So apparently a "spice box" is just some fried chips and crispy chicken. A spice box should have seasoning, onions, peppers, chillis etc. would not recommend.

25/05/2025: Excellent restaurant and very good meal. The burgers are delicious and I would recommend the mac-n-cheese. Service was a hit slow to start with but then it improved. We would definitely visit again!

13/05/2025: The two-course deal was terrible - chicken wings poorly breaded and fried, the burger was falling apart and we had to eat with cutlery, and the probably the worst chips I had in Cork. Looked like an amateur kitchen. Nice staff though.

23/03/2025: Unfortunately this place has really gone downhill, used to be one of our favourite spots in the city for food. They’ve gone really scaldy with the milkshakes- only fill it 3 quarters of the way now (and they’ve changed the flavor of the vanilla milkshake?!?!) All the portion sizes are way smaller- the chips are tiny too. Between the table of 4 of us, there was a burger, breakfast and tenders and none of us really liked our meals. I got the breakfast and didn’t eat half of it- I got about 6 baked beans!😂😂 a mouse would be pissed if he only got 6 scaldy beans. The rashers were inedible, the eggs were just bad. The toast was barely toasted. Also, the waiter was just so not bothered whatsoever. None of the staff were nice to be honest, could be the bosses fault, who knows. Unfortunately won’t be back which is a pity, as it used to be great

10/05/2025: Great hotel and great location. Everyting is walking distance.

04/04/2025: Reception lady on when checking out was not nice when asked her to update the invoice title. Room overnight can be really hot. The room temperature cannot be adjusted. Waiting time to be seated for breakfast can be long.

19/05/2025: Very friendly woman served me and I got the chicken tomato and lettuce jianbing and it was very tasty, fresh, light but a decent portion.

18/04/2025: Really good spice box. Generous portions, super tasty. And the best service, always friendly and welcoming.

30/04/2025: The food was nice . The place needs refurbishment it's very grubby and dated.

09/03/2025: Had the carvery there's some eating in it it's massive will definitely be back
