27/11/2025: First class food. Amazing service. Definitely worth a return visit.

21/11/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at 51 Cornmarket tonight, and the entire experience was world-class, especially the service. We were running significantly late due to unforeseen circumstances, but the owner, Anne, was absolutely fantastic and incredibly accommodating. ​Anne stayed in close contact with us while we were en route, kindly sent us the menu ahead of time, and even took our order so the kitchen could prepare our meal while we traveled. This level of communication and care is truly rare and saved our evening! ​Once we arrived, the setting and atmosphere were warm, intimate, and absolutely on point. The food was nothing short of fantastic—every dish was delicious. The wine selection was also superb. ​Thank you, Anne, and the entire team at 51 Cornmarket, for turning a stressful evening into a wonderful dining experience. Highly, highly recommend!

17/05/2026: Nice looking venue, sadly that's where the good ends. €3.90 for mi-wadi. They brought the wrong food out and left me me waiting 20min for the correct order. Beyond this, service was very slow. Nobody would come to take payment and after getting up to find a till. We were told to sit down and wait. Will never go back.

26/09/2025: Stopped by this coffee shop this morning for a cortado and something to go — and wow! The cortado was absolute perfection, and the almond croissant was just as impressive. To top it off, they were playing Radiohead, which gave the place such a great vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for fantastic coffee and fresh-baked goods!

19/04/2026: The food quality was terrible. We ordered roast turkey and roast bacon with broccoli, but the broccoli was yellow and not fresh. The worst part was the cauliflower vegetarian steak; the cauliflower was burnt. The steak was okay.

30/10/2025: The setting is lovely, but the waiters are unabashedly snobbish. I only recommend it if you fit the criteria of an upper-class clientele. It's mediocre.

16/10/2025: The Allihies Copper Mine Museum is a small but extremely informative museum – lovingly designed and full of fascinating insights into the history of copper mining in this region. The exhibition is presented in a modern style and impressively conveys how hard and deprived the lives of the miners once were. The personal atmosphere is particularly pleasant: you can feel the dedication with which the museum is run. The location in the picturesque village of Allihies, surrounded by impressive coastal scenery, also makes a visit a special experience. A small, yet exquisite museum that should not be missed – highly recommended!

13/10/2025: Stopped by The Glass House at the Montenotte Hotel in Cork for drinks, and it’s exactly the kind of spot you want on a sunny afternoon. The view is incredible especially if you sit outside, you can see almost the entire city, which makes for the perfect backdrop. 🌞🍹 I went with a cocktail and a small plate, and both were delightful well-made, refreshing, and perfect for a leisurely sip while taking in the view. The staff were attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a great spot for drinks with a view. Nothing over the top just good drinks, stunning scenery, and a relaxed atmosphere. 30/03/2026: Had a family party there over the weekend. The food, the service and the venue were all A1+++. Lauren was so helpful with all the organising, and was very accommodating with last minute celiac food requirements. James and all the staff in the bar are great. Highly recommend Goldbergs for a family or works party. Also a great place to drop in for a drink and some food.

06/03/2026: €6.50 for a 330ml bottle of Heineken 0.0 is exorbitant when you’re charging the same for a pint of Guinness. .

06/02/2026: Took AirCoach from Dublin and the hotel is only 5 minutes down the road. Elegant entry and charming lobby for tea. Our bathroom was a little odd shaped but we managed. Staff everywhere were friendly and attentive. We had breakfast included, which included everything on the menu. And the hotel bar was a nice way to cap the evening off.

20/10/2025: I bought a baguette with hot chicken this morning and the chicken was like a shoe sole, it was probably three days old and the baguette is also dry, disgusting! Considering the class of the store and the prices, I thought the food was of a high standard and fresh, big mistake, I will definitely not go back there.

23/07/2025: I got Lunch Sandwich Special here yesterday for a small party in my house Sndwiches, wraps & rolls...different variety of each...all very fresh tasty...and all enjoyed by my guests!!!Most asked where I got them and had no problem passing on details... Would highly recommend

09/07/2025: Staff are always lovely, food and coffee are great and very reasonably priced in comparison to other establishments in the Blackrock area. Really good selection of sandwiches, almost too good though, hard to make up your mind 🤣

20/02/2026: Beautiful food in both premises, but on the two occasions I've visited Balance District I've met the same woman with an attitude. Never met her before , don't know her. Not even thank you after paying. For this reason alone, I won't be returning. She really is a dreadful person.

14/01/2026: So only for 1 or 2 waitresses that get distracted in conversation. I once waited 20 minutes for 2 take away coffees and then was giving then in a ceramic mug! After asking twice I was in a hurry so very inconvenient for me. The 2 waitresses were busy chatting behind the counter on a busy time, so disappointed at this. I never went for a take away coffee again. But go for breakfast from time to time.This place is amazing 👏 food is top 😋 the new waitress Alison is amazing great service and great at her job very efficient.
