05/10/2025: The food, pints, and atmosphere are excellent, but the service is really bad :(

05/10/2025: A very good pub, very well-known here in Cork. The day begins in the morning, serving coffee, breakfast, and brunch, serving food practically every day. It's a huge pub with plenty of seats and high-quality food, with a large terrace, which is where I usually go when it's sunny. The service and staff are all good. During the day, when night falls, the frisky whiskey transforms into live music at night, sometimes with DJs. Like on Saturday nights, the house is full again. A very good atmosphere, middle-aged, where everyone enjoys a good time relaxing. I highly recommend it here; you're welcomed and everything is very good.

27/12/2025: Nice thai larb bit pricey for the main the rice portion needs to be abit bigger & a drink other than water should be included other than that the flavours are nice 😀

24/12/2025: Food is okay, atmosphere is very nice. There are plenty of car park spaces outside. Both waiter and waitress are friendly and welcoming. Starter: Pork & crab roll (average) Main: Chicken Khao Soi (noodles) & Pork wonton with barbecue pork ball (soup) - recommended Dessert: Ube ice-cream + Namkhaeng Sai - recommended

17/10/2025: It was ok in here. But the Murphy's wasn't as good as other bars near here. The service was fast and friendly.

We did bowling and shuffle board and it was so affordable and you could order food or drinks whenever you want. 11 per person for bowling and shuffle board was a bit cheaper, great fun such a buzz to have something unique to do. Thank you Deirdre!! She slayed

07/03/2026: Went into the karaoke bar last night with a group of friends and had an excellent time. 10/10 service from Heather as usual, she is always so helpful and personable. Shoutout to the bar staff too, impeccable service.

28/06/2025: I have been travelling Ireland for a month now. Stopped there for a coffee. The staff is the less friendly I have encountered in the whole Ireland, the tables outside were dirty and still had the coffee from previous people. No wifi for guests (people sometimes go to coffee shops to work). Positive aspect is that the coffee was great and the little sweet I bought too.

13/10/2025: Stopped by The Glass House at the Montenotte Hotel in Cork for drinks, and it’s exactly the kind of spot you want on a sunny afternoon. The view is incredible especially if you sit outside, you can see almost the entire city, which makes for the perfect backdrop. 🌞🍹 I went with a cocktail and a small plate, and both were delightful well-made, refreshing, and perfect for a leisurely sip while taking in the view. The staff were attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a great spot for drinks with a view. Nothing over the top just good drinks, stunning scenery, and a relaxed atmosphere. 09/03/2026: Excellent location as you are a 5 minute walk to St. Oliver Plunkett Street. There are many restaurants around that is very walkable. Rooms: Very clean and well organized. Bathroom was clean. Shower was okay but it went from hot water to slightly cold water a few times when you are showering. Parking: We parked at the underground parking the hotel recommended and it was well worth it as the parking lot is very clean and easy to park and navigate through. You could park at the hotel parking but it very limited parking. Breakfast: Breakfast buffet is great! it is an extra cost but we'll worth it as there arent any Breakfast spots open in the area before 9am. We'll worth the price you pay!

26/09/2025: Stopped by this coffee shop this morning for a cortado and something to go — and wow! The cortado was absolute perfection, and the almond croissant was just as impressive. To top it off, they were playing Radiohead, which gave the place such a great vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for fantastic coffee and fresh-baked goods!

02/03/2026: I had a meal here with two friends and it was terrible. We ordered our food and opted to have to main course chicken wings but when they arrived there were only 8 in each bowl, we questioned it but we were unsatisfied with the answer. Our main course arrived and to say I could cook better myself is just terrible for a four star hotel. There was a lot of grizzle on mine and the chips were over salted. We chatted away and realised it was 40 minutes since we finished our mains. The waitress was drying cutlery and making noise as she was throwing them into a tray. We had to ask for the plates to be cleared and we ordered our tea and coffee!! As we waited the waitess continued cleaning the restaurant and then after 10 minutes she got out tea and coffee!!! No apologies!! Then it came to the bill, our chicken wings were charged at mains 15.95 for 8 wow that's 2 euro each and we were told was because they were Irish !! Seriously!!! We were finally charged for the small !! As we left, the three of us said never again !! We go to different restaurants around Cork City and this is definitely not one we will be returning to.
