08/09/2025: Really nice cafe and great deal for açai lovers. An açai bowl (that you get to pick the contents of) and ANY coffee for €12. The açai is nice but not a strong flavour so that may be a deterrent for some. Coffee is good enough and they are generous with syrup. The toastie is one of the cheapest in cork (€5.50-€6.50) and it is nice quality. The cafe is dog friendly which is great especially if you’re walking at the lough. Would recommend!

24/09/2025: Absolutely love this coffee it is all I drink with years and this morning I found a stone in my whole beans. My sage machine nearly broke over this. A terrible noise coming from the grinder and I took it all apart to find a stone that looked just like a bean must have been put through the roast also as it has that coating to it. Not a great way to start the morning. Could have cost me a fortune also if I kept trying to grind the beans.

29/10/2025: Tried to contact management in regards to an incident with the automatic doors to the shop. Just want to make people aware that the doors to the shop very abruptly closed on my while making my way out of there this morning. Coffee burned all over my hand, mad bruising on my right thigh. I'm a person with common sense, believe me, but the doors there are actually stupid and dangerous.

21/11/2025: Any time we come in here lately for lunch or breakfast, I get mine relatively fast but my partner has been waiting 20minutes after I get mine. So I’m all done before hers comes out. What’s the point in having lunch together if it ends up we don’t have our lunch together, the place isn’t even that busy and other people that come in after us have gotten served before hers comes. If it was the odd time you would get over it but has become a regular occurrence so it’s disgrace really and we decided we won’t be coming here again.

30/11/2025: Best place in Cork. The chicken was super tender, great flavor, tasted awesome. The service was at another level. They even let us celebrate a birthday and we were without reservation. Great atmosphere just go to try it.

29/10/2025: Second time here and it's just such a fun place to go! My friend's absolute go-to for when she has visitors and I completely get why! In the summer they open the front window and you get a nice breeze. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great.

23/09/2025: This would have got 5 from me but the recent price increases and the strange photos which are definitely not accurate from the business here bring it down to 3. The menu for 2 Tacos and 1 drink say €16, but we were charged €17. Most other prices have increased too, so we won't go here as much as we previously did. Food is nice here. But there aren't many seats inside. I don't know why they have photos of comfy couchesunless you can order these in the bar next door?

09/11/2025: Went with my family about 20 of us for a graduation dinner . Service and food were top notch , friendly atmosphere very clean and were not rushed from our seat . Staff very obliging and helpful. Would recommend for any function !

08/11/2025: A really nice place. Pub atmosphere, pub food, really on point with service. I had the beef curry which was very tasty! I was entertaining so other people in my party had steak dishes which they said were excellent! Prices were reasonable, especially for the quality on offer. Parking onsite and easy. I'd go here again without question

23/04/2025: Brilliant stop there by accident and drink a coca-cola but the pub was a good few people inside like local people but they joke with me all ready because I was ask for coca - cola I was driving, I would like to stay there for a few pints I could see I will enjoy a lot I know the cork people it’s great laugh good craic but I will pass there someday for sure.

18/11/2025: Very good prices. I've been going to akira for a while now, when I want some comfort food and something that is not that expensive and fancy. The girls upstairs are amazing and give you a proper japanese experience. There are some amazing dishes like the ramen, it's not that easy to find a heavy and comfy ramen like in Akira. Usually I feel Japanese restaurants have become something superfancy that don't make you feel like home. Everything is about the rules and about expensive sushi, but Akira goes beyond that. Akira takes the typical Japanese experience and brings it to your table for a really good price. To put an example the sake is something that goes for 40€ minimum in most japanese restaurants. If I remember right, you can have bottles of Sake for less than 25 euros in Akira.And even Wine. But not only focusing on the prices .Overall Akira has made me feel like the place to go, when I'm not sure what I want and never failed for a second. Thanks to all the staff.

30/10/2025: Delicious Japanese food, super friendly service, and a sensational atmosphere; for anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine like me, this restaurant is an excellent choice!

10/07/2025: I was in here before the Celtic match. The place was mobbed but the staff were superb at getting people served. A good boozer with a good atmosphere and a decent pint of Murphys.
