29/09/2025: An interesting experience for anyone looking for a salt cure without going to the spa. The wings and the Spice Bag are perfect for preserving meat for centuries. The concept is innovative: the main course is thirst, and the side dish is food. The treasure hunt to obtain water adds a little spice (and frustration) to the evening. 10/10 for originality.

26/09/2025: Food was decent but overpriced. Band was good. Overall the restaurant was noticeably dirty and the bathrooms were exceptionally dirty. Service was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced. I won’t call out the persons name on here but they got our entire order wrong, never checked on us once after dropping the food off, and took almost 15min to track down to get our check. I’d recommend avoiding this establishment unless going for a drink only.

31/08/2025: I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Mount Oval Bar & Restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food is delicious and beautifully presented, and the service is outstanding. A special mention goes to our waitress, Sabina, who made the evening truly memorable. She was attentive, friendly, and professional, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Her genuine smile and excellent recommendations added so much to our dining experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

20/09/2025: We visited Swoon for the first time today roughly around 5pm. Behind the counter was the most pleasant server by the name of Matthew. Very smiley and happy, overall just a complete breath of fresh air! Lovely to see.

20/09/2025: We thought we had found our new favorite spot. The coffee was amazing, the atmosphere was warm, and we were genuinely made to feel welcome. We were even guided to a table we loved. That's why it was so jarring when, just 15 minutes after sitting down,with our drinks in hand for only 10,the manager informed us that our table is booked in 10 minutes😅. In Ireland, it's well understood that ordering grants you the right to your seat to enjoy your purchase. They knew this, yet they chose to ask us to leave indirectly. We absolutely loved the place, but we won't be returning. The feeling of disrespect is just too strong. A simple request: just be transparent. If a table has a time limit, tell us before we order and fall in love with the experience. Don't let customers get comfortable only to usher them out the door. Honesty benefits everyone.

19/09/2025: The food is fantastic. Great intention, artistry, balance. Top class. The staff is very nice, but they were increasingly stressed due to the influx of customers, which made the whole (small) restaurant feel stressed as our meal went on. I'm not blaming them, but it definitely impacted our experience. As we were eating, there was a queue forming by us of people coming in the front door. And we're on a small two-person table that genuinely feels like it's going to get knocked over by the throng of people. The location isn't built / designed for both people sitting down, at least how it's laid out, and a large queue. We were looking around to pay for a few minutes near the end of the meal and all the staff seemed preoccupied, so I asked the gentleman who had served us if I should pay at the counter, and he said yes. So I queued behind people coming in for takeaway coffees for a few minutes after the service had been to the table up to that point. I found this kind of messy, to be queuing twice for the same meal. The kicker as to why we're unfortunately not enthusiastic to go back, a lady came in with a dog under her arm whose butt was looming-cum-hovering over my wife's food. This seems to be okay with the management, as she was seated and all, but the mix of flying dog and artisan eggs is not a good breakfast vibe. Amazing food, real nice staff, but too stressy and weirdly laid out to be a relaxing experience for us. My wife didn't finish the end of her food after the dog arrived, which makes the wonderful quality of the food more of a taunt than a benefit in that moment. Ha.

10/10/2025: Must say this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Cork. It’s very cosy, great selection of food and the staff are very friendly. The chef brought the food out. Definitely recommend it for anyone seeking real, Italian cuisine.

29/08/2025: Really lovely shop with very friendly staff. Unfortunately losing a star for me as I was shocked to hear that staff are not allowed drink water while at their checkouts. Every other shop like Lidl, etc, don't have such harsh policies for their staff. Water is a basic necessity, not just for your break. When you have such good staff please treat them well.

30/08/2025: Absolutely everything about bedrock is fantastic. We were visiting Ireland, staying in Fermanagh and traveled to Bedrock for an all day breakfast. 2 adults (one vegetarian), 3 children all loved their food and cleaned their plates.
