The best restaurants in Cork

05/09/2025: A very good pub in the area with excellent staff, it has a back area with huge wooden benches, very good pints, in short, an authentic traditional Irish pub, and now with the students returning there will be many lively nights.

04/08/2025: A very cozy bar with good music and a relaxed atmosphere. It's nice to finally find a place where vaping is prohibited. I wonder when they realize it's the same as smoking. Thank you for providing a smoke-free space.

20/08/2025: Brilliant service and fantastic range of fresh baked breads, cakes and deserts. Really good value too.

22/10/2025: Pie Guys was such a delightful experience. They were closed at the English Market because they were sold out, so we wandered down to the Black Market, and I’m so glad we did. IT WAS CLASS. The buttery crust, the perfect mash, the filling, the amazing dill slaw. This was a must stop, making it a plan for tomorrow as well. You will not be disappointed.

18/10/2025: Having grown up with a mum who was a pastry chef and confectioner and has since passed, I’ve had the best of the best… but having seen these lads and the pies they create I said I’d have to try it and see does it stack up.. all I can say is YES… I was instantly transported back to my youth with the quality of the pastry.. and the filling, omg something to die for.. thank you for giving me a little taste of my youth after a bad week of missing my mum it really put a smile on my face!!! We will be back!

31/12/2025: I got a takeaway americano here. The coffee is good but the staff couldn’t be less interested as one of their friends was there. €3.40 for the smallest cup is definitely up there in cost as coffee goes.

21/11/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at 51 Cornmarket tonight, and the entire experience was world-class, especially the service. We were running significantly late due to unforeseen circumstances, but the owner, Anne, was absolutely fantastic and incredibly accommodating. ​Anne stayed in close contact with us while we were en route, kindly sent us the menu ahead of time, and even took our order so the kitchen could prepare our meal while we traveled. This level of communication and care is truly rare and saved our evening! ​Once we arrived, the setting and atmosphere were warm, intimate, and absolutely on point. The food was nothing short of fantastic—every dish was delicious. The wine selection was also superb. ​Thank you, Anne, and the entire team at 51 Cornmarket, for turning a stressful evening into a wonderful dining experience. Highly, highly recommend!

01/01/2026: Got a burger and chips meal on deliveroo. Cost me 20 quid took over an hour to come and they only delivered the burger and no chips. Happy new year 👍

13/12/2025: Had dinner tonight in soba with my partner mother in law and my baby. Were greated with a warm smile and super accommodating. They were so accommodating to my baby also, immediately grabbed a highchair and were being playful with him. We ordered our food they even reccomended a dish to my mother in law as she asked. The food arrived very fast. It was gorgeous, the chips were crispy on the outside and soft inside the curry was beautiful and so was the crispy chicken. My partner got the satay and it was beautiful also. The dish my mother in law was recommended was also beautiful. Fast service and great food. Definitely worth the price even though it’s not as expensive as some of the other similar restaurants i’ve been to. A small restaurant very clean quiet perfect for a date night or celebration. Played lovely christmas music on low was beautiful. The staff are just the kindest i’ve ever met. Super sweet ! Highly reccomend going to this restaurant

08/10/2025: Really delicious meal. Seafood chowder and cauliflower steak were both excellent. My wife enjoyed her Indian, though the naan was sub par. Nice space too.

05/10/2025: Very nicely decorated. Friendly service. Really tasty food. The signature pie was amazing, as were the glazed root vegetables. Would gladly come back!

11/03/2026: We stayed here for 3 nights in an executive room mainly for the balcony/terrace option, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth paying extra for. The rooms and the pool aren’t the highest quality, but the overall service, food, and the thermal suite definitely make up for it. Every member of staff I had the pleasure of interacting with was incredibly kind. Special mention to Luke from the Café Bar for his service, and the chefs in the Bar for the food. The portions were large and everything was really delicious, especially the Thai red chicken curry. The restaurant is more of a fine-dining option, but for food I’d definitely recommend the Bar instead. Breakfast was excellent too, especially the full Irish breakfast and the pancakes. Actually we’ve stayed in many hotels around Ireland and this might even be one of the best breakfasts and service we’ve experienced. The gym is very well equipped with Technogym machines, very clean, and they also offer free gym classes for guests, which is a nice bonus.
