14/09/2025: lovely spot, needs a bit of cosy added, so many options in line of pastries and savoury food

07/09/2025: €8.95 for a coffee and a scone. Way too expensive. Coffee was nice scone was ok. Got a pastiche de nata also for nearly 4 quid... Really poor left it behind. Staff were really nice.

06/10/2025: I love coming here! It might be my fav restaurant in the country, such nice staff, food is always top notch and fresh. Will always recommend sakura to a friend. Gyoza's are lovely, sushi is always fresh, noodle dishes hot and flavourful, miso soup just how i like it.... i could go on!

23/09/2025: I honestly don't know how this rating isn't higher. I had the Gyoza Ramen and it was bold and silky. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the vegetables were delicious. My wife had the Eel roll, the tamago, the salmon (amazing as she said), and the spicy tuna. We didn't expect the spicy tuna to be quite that spicy, but still delicious. The cuts of meat were all top notch. The service was on top of it and we felt very welcomed.

02/10/2025: Lovely local pub! We come here semi-regularly for some food and a pint. We love the roast and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend

30/07/2025: A great experience. The beer garden at the back of the PB is very relaxing; it's a covered, cemented courtyard. If you want to chat, you have to stay at the counter. We enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.

26/07/2025: When you can go to a local pub and have a Beamish, Murphy’s and Guinness life is great. Don’t eat (don’t try really) and just wanted to sit with a pint and talk. Everyone was super friendly…I accidentally dropped a 10 Euro and the good folks at the table next to us pointed it out.

20/10/2025: I really like coughlans (great pints) but I have to say something about the gig venue. We were at Luka Bloom yesterday and the set up was bad. Great to see Luka but I had to leave halfway through. First of all there were too many chairs in the small space (seated gig). It was also boiling. This meant that we were jammed in a sweat box with no room to move. After a short time sweat was pumping off us and not being able to move meant I was in agony. To top it off the chairs weren’t linked so anyone could push their chair back, pinning the person behind them. I know they won’t do it (as they’d lose money) but a fix would be to get rid of a line of chairs. This would give everyone some room. Also link the chairs so people can’t move them. When I couldn’t take it any more and finally dragged myself out of our row (couldn’t do it without literally stepping on people’s feet) I had to take a minute to calm down in the outside area. I’ve been going to gigs all my life and never had this experience. I hope they take these points on board.

19/10/2025: Came here last night to celebrate my birthday and the staff really went out of their way to make me feel special. You can tell the people who work here really enjoy what they do. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening thanks so much to every at Luigi Malones.

10/10/2025: For beer, order the Murphy, a Cork-only beer. It has a really smooth head and a great flavor. For food, I ordered BBQ Baby Pork Ribs and Shrimp Fajitas, which perfectly suited my Korean palate. The pork ribs were a bit bland, so I asked for some BBQ sauce to dip them in, and it was perfect. The restaurant is spacious, comfortable, and friendly.

09/10/2025: Absolutely mind-blowing! Thali Nepal Restaurant serves pure magic every bite bursts with authentic Nepali flavour. The momos are heavenly, the curries soul-warming, and the staff treat you like family. Easily the best food experience in Cork a taste trip straight to Nepal! 🇳🇵🔥🍛

21/09/2025: The Mango cafe is amazing! The food is spectacular, serving authentic Thai dishes for a great price! The service is fab, the owner is very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere in this place is great. Whether you are eating in or taking away this is a great place! A must try is the mango drink and the pad Thai, it is the best I’ve had. I will keep coming back to this place.

14/09/2025: Very cute small Thai cafe! Very welcoming vibe with lovely attentive staff! They explained all the dishes very well too me and delivered with very tasteful food! If you like Thai food give this place a visit!

04/10/2025: AMAZING NAPOLI STYLE FOOD. Pretty good prices for this area and the service from Sonya was amazing. So accommodating and sweet! Also, the pizza chef Manuel did an amazing job. Pizza was delicious, satiating, fresh, and cooked very well, came out steaming hot!

22/09/2025: Stopped here for a coffee and the different smells of fresh foods were very tempting had I known that they sold not only Coffee but authentic Sicilian meals and sandwiches along with cakes and treats wines etc. I would off definitelytried some Focaccia. Small inside but has plenty of seatingb inside and outdoor seating. Nice interior nice staff and affordable prices, nice to see good prices in an area where there is a lot of students struggling as well as businesses. Next time I will have to try the food, enjoyed my large latte in comfort.

21/08/2025: The omelets (breakfast omelet), the scones, the beans on toast, the bread... Everything was delicious and mostly homemade. The woman who runs the cafe is lovely, very pleasant and smiling. You have to go there if you are in the area.

03/08/2025: Food quality is very high quality here is coriander. Personally recommend the the tandoori chicken, the lamb shank or the lamb chops. But the winner dish is the vegetable bhaji. One of the most underrated restaurants in Cork.

19/09/2025: Absolutely gorgeous baked goods and coffee! The wild elderberry sweet pastry was wonderful. Mocha was spot on. Sausage roll and veggie roll were perfect for breakfast.

19/09/2025: Said on Google that the pizza was open until 12:30, arrived before 10 PM on a busy Friday thinking 'surely they will be open' and they just closed by turnihg the closed sign from 'open' to 'closed'. I only looked at them (staff) and they angrily looked back signalling that it was closed. :(
