07/03/2024: Kinda disappointed with our treatment the other night. I normally have a great time there but me and my friend went to use the bathroom and got stopped because there were two of us. It's fine, we simply explained that one of us had our time of the month and wanted to give her a pad. The bartender just replied "I know how druggies work" We aren't drug users, nor have we ever taken drugs. No proof of that I know but that was extremely rude to say none the less. Not only did the bartender say it to us but announced it to the customers at the bar also. We got a lot of dirty looks and a few laughs at our expense. We were embarrassed and quickly left once my friend used the toilet. I understand there are drug users that come in. But we were not one of them. We were embarrassed publicly for simply trying to pass a friend a pad in the bathroom. Again I love Fredz, this isn't a bad review for all the staff. Just the girl that was on that night.

13/01/2024: Its been my third time getting their acai cup. Truly went head over heels with it. It doesnt need any added sweetener as its already so sweet for me. I should definitely asked for more granola as it was a good combo. Portion is big enough, recommended to share with another person unless you’re extra hangry.

25/03/2024: Sensational food, in an intimate, welcoming setting. We loved the Innovative dishes prepared creatively using the most incredible local ingredients. Our delightful waiter was extremely knowledgeable on the menu and offering wine suggestions. What made the evening more special was to get the opportunity to speak with the chef at the end of our meal and reflect on the outstanding food he had prepared, we were left overjoyed by the whole experience. This truly was one of our most memorable and impressive dining experiences, and we cannot wait to return. Big thank you to the whole team at 51 Cornmarket.

13/02/2024: It was a quick visit, with my son, after nice afternoon walk and feeling a craving for some really good hot chocolate. Butlers is the right place in that respect, with a selection of chocolates to satisfy the most demanding, and excellent quality for good measure. We enjoyed our orders thoroughly and it was a moment to wind down a bit. The only downside, perhaps, is that this café appears to be extremely popular and - as such - there is no shortage of customers at any given time. This constant flow clearly keeps the staff on their toes, and this seems to dampen the passion somewhat, so that service comes across as a bit blasé.

14/02/2024: Great coffee. I had a calzone doughnut with pistachio. Not something you will get everywhere. Delicious.

02/02/2024: Good food. Pay up front, sit down they bring it to you and no nonsense. Furniture is not great. Upstairs is nice. You can get a hot lunch for around €10. Definitely will be back.

03/04/2024: I went last bank holiday Monday with 5 friends. Almost all of us had the Birdy Basket- absolutely delicious. I had the bottomless brunch and it was phenomenal! My glass was never empty and service was sensational- staff were attentive without being disruptive. At the end of the meal, we agreed that we shall return.

03/04/2024: The loaded jalapeno fries were uncomplicated but surprisingly delicious. The fish and tartar sauce were very tasty as well. But the star of the show was the cocktail - shout out to the Sweet Dreams!

03/04/2024: Lovely staff who greet you and he'll you with what you need. They give a detailed overview of the facility and what it offers. They are attentive and nice. I like the variety of levels available. I've only gone bouldering so that's what I can comment on. They changed the routes enough and have challenges and completions happening regularly. Really casual and welcoming atmosphere with other climbers. There are two couch areas where you can relax and meet other climbers and take a break. The facility offers some drinks for sale, as well as tea and hot chocolate, and snacks and muffins. The facility also includes lockers, but bring your own lock if you want to lock it. There's a workout space upstairs away from the walls where you can do any kind of exercise, and they include a lot of climber-specific things. Also weights, two stationary bikes, foam rollers, and exercise mats. Of course they also have climbing gear for sale and rent. I recommend going in the day if possible, if you like a quieter climb. Naturally, there are more people in the evening. Everyone is respectful. I think for some it might be a pricier activity, but if you're a regular climber it's worth it (either subscription or monthly subscription). If you give them a call , they're helpful and can explain it all. Make sure to call before your first visit so you can get booked in for an induction visit.
