Ariel House

Dublin
15/04/2025: This property is very beautiful the location is really great however this hotel is not suitable for older people. The breakfast service was very terrible as we constantly felt rushed even though the hotel was fully and we did not get our seat promptly. I absolutely have no issues waiting for a table because I understand that the hotel was fully booked and busy however as soon as we sat down we felt extremely rushed both days that we ate there. The breakfast was tasty though. We asked for clean towels to be set in our room and when we got back the towels that they had replaced were extremely dirty and had brown spots on them. I told front desk about this and I thought they were going to notify the manager but they never did. We went there with my parents who needed help with their luggage since there are a lot of stairs in this property. The stairs are completely fine and it was in the listing so I completely understood. However when we went to the front desk to ask for assistance for my parents to help them with their luggage the front desk person was sleeping in the lobby we did not offer to help us at all. This was extremely unprofessional considering that my parents were older, and we had been told the front desk offer is 24 seven and they did not help us with their luggage at all. Overall the properties very beautiful but the staff is horrendous. I’ve never the type of person to leave a negative review but this truly blew my mind how terrible the service was.
13/04/2025: My grandparents were heading to Dublin for a concert and we booked this accommodation for them as a gift. They absolutely LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT. The welcome they received was so warm and they even included a selection of cakes and an upgrade. The room was very cozy and super clean. The morning was made even better by a huge spread of anything they could want. Thank you for looking after our grandparents. We really appreciate it 🧡

Be Sweet Cafe

Dublin
02/03/2025: Place is a small place. Very stylish. Nice hot chocolate. Got the raspberry and white chocolate cake. Kids got the cupcakes and some hot chocolate. A booth at the back looks quite cosy. There are about 5 little tables. With 2 or 3 chairs. Stools for the other customers. I'm over 6 ft so the stools are low. For what it is it was exceptionally expensive. Cakes were fairly dry. It was grand. If I was to go back I would get a takeaway hot chocolate.
20/02/2025: Apologies for the half-full drink, it was too good I couldn’t wait! Lovely staff & the coolest environment!

Slattery's, menu

Dublin
13/04/2025: Great atmosphere, excellent food
12/04/2025: I don't know if it's with all customers or just foreigners, but the service is rude and indifferent. I work with customers, and there are stressful moments, but you take your time and do the best you can. The place is nice, clean, and well-decorated, the drinks are good, and the food is average.

Morrisseys Pub Dublin

Dublin
11/03/2025: A nice little old-school pub with a cozy, traditional feel. The prices were reasonable, and the publican was friendly, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. A great spot for a relaxed drink without breaking the bank!
07/01/2025: Haven't been in Morrisseys for at least 5yrs. Had a lovely couple of pints. I actually done my apprenticeship here in the 70s (76-80). Looking forward to getting back in at some point. Hopefully this year.

The Little Cactus - Speciality Coffee & Plants

Dublin
15/04/2025: The food was scrumptious and the coffee was delicious. The staff was absolutely delightful and kind. The overall experience was amazing and I would recommend it to everyone. 10/10
27/03/2025: Absolutely love this place – hands down the best coffee and sandwiches in Stoneybatter. The quality is consistently top notch, the staff are super friendly, and the vibe is always warm and welcoming. Whether I’m grabbing a quick takeaway or sitting in for a catch-up, it never disappoints. Their attention to detail, from the perfectly brewed coffee to the fresh ingredients in their sandwiches, really sets them apart. A local gem – can’t recommend it enough!

SuperValu

Dublin
01/04/2025: Have shopped in supervalue for 45 years. A good shop mostly but recently unable to get any attention at fish counter. Staff too busy. Some cashiers very grumpy and unhelpful.
27/03/2025: Not quite as good as Superquinn was, but still pretty good

Cill Airne

Dublin
26/02/2025: Can not recommend this place enough, food and staff was excellent
16/02/2025: We normally love the food quality, ambience and staff of The Boat. We wanted to have a dinner during Valentine's day as we trust everything about this place. It was the first disappointing experince we had there. Bubbly on the arrival was really poor: we were served from 2 different nearly empty prosecco bottles and our glasses weren't filled same amount and the proseccos were different while seeing other tables were getting full glasses. We both ordered red pepper soup as starter, the soups were cold. I got chicken kiev which was nice and hot. But not the usual quality food we normally get there. My boyfriend got a lamb, nice but cold one. We asked for the bill and waited 15 mins to get it. I could understand the day could be busy, but overall experince was really bad. It was a 1-2 stars experience but since I love this place and giving 3 stars for all the times wr had great food and service. I hope they will match their normal food and serving standards.

The Boathouse

Dublin
06/04/2025: Nice atmosphere beside lake Was busy (weekend) , however service was perfect
30/03/2025: 20 mins wait to be served, grossly inefficient management of queue and coffee orders. Berry scone was absolutely fabulous as was the chocolate brownie. The rest of the food also looked divine. Plenty of staff but when I asked if milk was on the table, the guy said no that they were closing in 20 mins. Could they not clear the tables after closing?

Costa Coffee

Dublin
27/03/2025: The coffeeshop is well appointed and nice decor. I worry when shops leave a singular member of staff to run a shop . From a health and safety point of view if anything was to happen like a robbery or injury . The bathroom was absolutely filthy and the smell was so poor given that the doors are left open . There is also no barrier door to keep smells away from the customer area. Not great to be honest .
20/03/2025: The seats are a bit uncomfortable. They wouldn't warm the cinamon bun. Dunno Y.

Birchalls

Dublin
28/03/2025: This is my favourite bar in Ranelagh. Best Guinness in Ranelagh for certain and I've tried them all. Good local crowd which is a complete mix. Toasties are lovely as well. More of a rugby crowd at the weekend but not rowdy and in your face. The soccer is on but the sound is only turned up for big games. Horse racing and golf will be on also. Lovely fire in the winter as well. Music on a Monday night which is great. Guinness, Beamish and Murphys on draught. As of 28th March, a Guinness is €6.70
