The best restaurants in Dublin

07/09/2026: At Morilles stillorgan today, I ordered 2 iced coffees at the drive through when i tasted the two iced coffees they tasted severally burnt . when we brought it up to the staff they were rude and abrupt and not apologetic at all, we were told then to go around the back to collect the coffee and the door was slammed in our face and the fresh coffee we received was still burnt so the combination of poor service and rude workers is appalling and safe to say i will not be returning

12/08/2026: The staff were absolutely lovely. The girls serving coffee today were so friendly, and they made the biggest ice creams we’ve had in a long time! We thought they closed a bit later, but they were actually shutting up at 5 p.m. The girls were almost apologetic about it, saying lots of people get caught out by the closing time. Even so, they couldn’t have been nicer, they told us we were welcome to stay a little longer or move over to the outdoor tables by the Mill House. Great service and a really warm, welcoming atmosphere.

04/10/2026: Four of us bought lunch and coffees today. Australians visiting family in Dublin. Food was nice, we were happy. After we'd eaten 2 of us felt like something sweet. For some reason, which is a complete mystery to us, we were blatantly ignored while waiting at the counter to order something sweet, and iced out by the 2 staff behind the counter. First it happened to me - it was so blatant - then my son. It was upsetting and perplexing. It left a sour taste - and spoiled our outing. For the life of me, I have no idea why this happened, but we all noticed it. Absolutely shocking. BTW also quite expensive.

21/07/2026: Never again! We hadn't even taken a sip of our drinks before they started demanding payment. After three sips, they asked if we were ready to order anything else. When we declined, the table was cleared after the last drink, which felt like being kicked out. And there was absolutely nothing to nibble on with the drinks, which is a huge disgrace for a bar. To top it all off, the three waiters and waitresses standing near our table didn't even acknowledge us as we were leaving. Everywhere else in Dublin, people are incredibly friendly; the fact that this isn't the case at the Shelbourne is very embarrassing for the Marriott group.

22/05/2026: Local to Dublin and would go to no.27 a few times a year for a nice pre-dinner drink on special occasions, and book an annual conference here. My daughter and I had booked in for lunch before going to inquire about booking her wedding at The Shelbourne. Really poor experience using a voucher, poorly manager by the manager at no.27. The customer service turned us off and no longer progressing wedding inquiry (180 guests) as a result. Food and atmosphere, customer service aside, lovely as always.

28/06/2026: Could be the best Chinese takeaway chain in Dublin and to keep standards high across different locations is a lot harder than you'd think.

13/03/2026: This place is an absolute jewel in Dublin! If you appreciate a genuinely well-crafted drink in a beautiful setting, this is the spot. The atmosphere is incredible. It has a gorgeous Art Deco vibe that makes you feel like you've just stepped into a glamorous 1930s jazz bar. The cocktails are professionally made with real care and top-tier ingredients. The menu is fantastic, but the welcoming staff are more than happy to go off-menu and mix up whatever you're in the mood for, always taking the time to happily answer any questions about the drinks. While the everyday food menu is a bit limited, it perfectly suits the style of the bar. I highly recommend the charcuterie board, as it offers a wonderful balance of high-quality Spanish and Italian cured meats and cheeses with surprisingly generous portion sizes. I also had dinner here for New Year's Eve and the experience was excellent. They put together a special menu for the night, and the food was absolutely delicious. The best part is the connection to the Stella Cinema, a truly classy and vintage theater. I recommend this place for grabbing drinks with friends before a screening or catching up after a movie. A brilliant, five-star experience all around!

21/02/2026: Have to say that the food here was a huge disappointment. The trio of bread, olives, and almonds was an actual joke - 5 small olives, bland stale nuts, and bread that I physically couldn't tear or cut. The only decent thing we had was the arancini. Service was also poor - there were about 6 staff there around the bar but only 1-2 people actually working. The manager seemed totally fine with the fact that most of them were just standing around sampling a cocktail. They took our order without writing it down, came back to confirm it again, and we were still served the wrong thing. Puzzling how they manage to take 20 mins to serve a glass of whiskey with only about 4 tables occupied.

19/08/2026: The food itself seemed fine, and maybe this place works better for delivery, but the restaurant itself was in very poor condition. It felt neglected and dirty, with personal/dirty clothes left around, and we even saw spiders inside. The bathroom was also not working. Overall, the place clearly needs much better cleaning and maintenance. Very disappointing if you choose to eat there in person.

12/08/2026: A wonderfully fresh meal. The welcome was very pleasant, and they even tried to speak French, which was much appreciated. I recommend it.

09/06/2026: Went up with the family for Kerbs BBQ dinner evenings. Great service and food was amazing. Would highly recommend if you get a chance this summer.

20/09/2026: Fabulous place!! Ordered the pulled pork burger and it did not disappoint, as soon as you pick it up it’s oozing from every side with sauce and pork. Chicken wings portion is enough to feed the whole table and the is swimming in sauce which is a wonderful addition. The only downside was the chicken nachos which came out a bit underwhelming with only sauce and chicken on the top layer. Staff were very efficient, mannerly and plenty of them. Wonderful atmosphere, kids room is such a good idea, keeps all the little chaos away from the dinner table haha 진짜 맛있어요

17/09/2026: We are really disappointed with the refurbished play area. Castle is gone, and an enormous tv installed on the wall. The advantage of this place was the play area so the kids could PLAY. Not watch tv. Or you may as well take a tablet to any restaurant.
