The best restaurants in Dublin

10/02/2025: €3.70 for a black americano that was essentially a small cup of Bovril. Identical in taste and consistency. Took 10 minutes to order despite 5/6 employees present at walk up window and only one other customer ahead who had already received drink. Massive gap in the market for decent coffee in this village 👍

19/12/2024: The coffee is lovely and staff have always been very friendly but €4.30 for a “flat white” size coffee is ridiculous.

02/03/2025: Mexican night 1/3/2024 was absolutely fabulous. Food was amazing and lovely atmosphere and very friendly helpful staff . Looking forward to doing it again well done to everyone .

18/02/2025: My first and last time visiting this premises as a customer trying to enjoy my lunch I witnessed the owner Andy being rude and offensive to a young mother and her son, if he speaks to everyone the way he spoke to her I'm surprised he is still in business, I have been in retail more than 40 years and I would dread to think myself or any member of my staff would treat any of my customers like that maybe the best place for Andy is out in the kitchen away from the public as he hasn't got a clue how to deal with people Regards Geraldine

05/04/2025: I got chicken curry with chips tonight and to be honest the chicken was still pink and the chips was half warm and half cold this is not the first time this has happened to me from this chipper in Finglas west

26/04/2025: Extremely disappointing. Quaint little restaurant but food & service not good. Went in Saturday morning with a reservation only 3 tables were occupied but it took 7 min to be seated. I ordered eggs Florentine but got eggs Benedict instead. English muffin was not toasted, ham too thick & roasted potatoes very sad. Nicest part of the meal was the salad dressing. By the time waiter returned it was too late to reorder. Did not get a second coffee because no waiter came back even though we said we would have another in 5 min. They did not change for my order which was good but a could not care attitude from the owner.

Tuve un pollo al curry y patatas fritas, el pollo era una pechuga de pollo y era duro como las placas del infierno seco y dije que debe haber sido asado porque no sería tan seco de otra manera. Más tarde lo vi poniendo el pollo asado en la salsa de curry después de que estaba sentado bajo las lámparas de calor muy decepcionado mientras esperaba con ansias. El marido dijo que el pescado y las patatas fritas estaban bien.

02/04/2025: Flavourful, I had my first ever spice bag here recently and it was worth the hype, lovely and savoury flavours, a LITTLE more spice next time would hit the spot even more but still a damn good meal.

01/04/2025: Hang Dai is the best Chinese restaurant in Dublin, and Ri Ri's is by far the best Chinese Takeaway in Dublin. Very authentic Chinese food. The sweet & sour Hong Kong style is probably one of the best I've had.

16/04/2025: Service has been poor the last few times I have been there. I went in for brunch one day and we were the only people in the restaurant, and there were staff buzzing around but after 15 minutes nobody even came over to give us water, so we left. I was there last weekend and our server was much better. Ordered Eggs Benedict and was asked if we wanted the eggs soft medium or hard, we both said soft. When the food came it was an extremely small portion with very small muffins used which I think may have been frozen. My eggs were extremely hard and overcooked while my parters were soft. The dish cost €14.50. it's a long time since I felt so short changed by a meal. I live in the area but will not be going back.

24/04/2025: The first positive point is definitely the super strategic location for everything in the center of Dublin. The corridors and common areas smell great. The rooms are ok, they could use a bit of renovation but overall not bad. However I think it can be fine for a maximum of 1-2 nights, because in the area you can find even better. And here we come to the less positive aspects: for what it offers it is expensive, the breakfast is in the Anglo-Saxon-continental standard (also ok here but nothing exceptional), the bathtub-shower is an absurd contraption with temperature and jet very difficult to regulate and worthy of a geyser, it closes with a sad 60s shower curtain (nowadays maybe a shower with glass would be better...). Finally the worst of all: many rooms are VERY NOISY. Nobody expects the silence of the countryside in the middle of the city, obviously, but here the windows literally shook and it felt like having a tram inside the bed. Add to that the noise, alarms, sirens, ambulances, various messes and sleeping is very difficult.

17/04/2025: Stuff was friendly and the lobby and bar and restaurant were nice. But the price for a room is quite high and the quality of the rooms are not too good. They are very loud and nearly no isolation against noise. Location is good for a visit.

16/03/2025: Friday 15th of March show was really bad. Rude comedy, too obvious, racist, offensive, obscene gestures and sexist. Very unfortunate to have had that line up. Really surprised as I have been there previously and enjoyed myself.

20/02/2025: Fantastic management who would schedule (or allow) their only coffee machine to be fully serviced during opening hours. No coffees or hot chocolates being served. First world problem and all, but still poor form.

15/02/2025: My favourite Costa in Tallaght! The staff are so friendly, even when it's busy they are always lovely.
