Eddie Rocket's
Dublin
15/03/2026: Pretty disappointing. Generally Eddies is pretty consistent across the different premises but the food here was really poor. Nachos were stale and cold, the tomatoes were under ripe and the onion rings were undercooked. Staff were nice and food was quick but overall experience wasn’t great. Should have gone to Nando’s.
15/03/2026: Went to MotoXpro in Punchestown, Naas, Co Kildare today.
Ordered a cheese burger (with no bun), chips & a can of coke - €23 : TWENTY THREE EURO!!!! absolute rip-off.
The burger was not freshly cooked & was cold. As it was without the bun, the salad (which was plentiful) was placed in the carton & layered with slices of cheese (broken up) on top. On top of that was the cold, non-fresh burger, which was then broken up over the salad? Chips were grand - blanched & refried.
To be clear - the staff were friendly & the chips were ok, the burger - not so much.
The biggest issue was the price: €23 for a burger, chip & can of coke!!!!
Pretty disgusting price gouging by Eddie Rocket's

22/02/2026: Really nice food amd the staff aew excellent
14/02/2026: We visited on Valentine's Day, so we came prepared for a busy evening and longer waits than usual. However, the experience fell well short of expectations.
We waited nearly an hour for our starter (a platter of fried fish cakes, shrimp, spring rolls, and chicken skewers), followed by another 30 minutes for our mains. What made this more frustrating was the lack of communication—no one checked in with us until we overheard the table next to us asking about their order and decided to inquire ourselves. We were told the kitchen was overwhelmed with delivery orders.
I understand that delivery is important for business, but when diners are sitting at your tables with nothing in front of them, it feels like in-house guests should be the priority. We watched other tables receive apologies and complimentary desserts for their wait, but when we asked for our bill, nothing was offered to us.
As for the food itself, it was average at best. We ordered the paad krapow, and as someone from Southeast Asia, I can say it bore little resemblance to the authentic dish. After such a long wait, the quality simply didn't justify the experience.
I appreciate that Valentine's Day is hectic for restaurants, but better communication and more attention to dine-in customers would go a long way. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Pizza Hut
Dublin
20/03/2026: Very unhygienic, was just in and ordered food and the man working at the till handled everything in the store, doors, telephones, other peoples food and then continued to make my food with his bare hands, avoid
23/02/2026: Apache Castleknock offers a consistently high standard of food across the menu. Their pizzas have a great crispy base with rich sauce and plenty of toppings. Kebabs are delicious, with tender meat and fresh salad, while the wraps are warm, well-filled, and full of flavour. Burgers are cooked well and taste freshly made rather than overly processed. Clean presentation and reliable service make this location a favourite for families and late-night orders alike. A solid all-round takeaway option in Castleknock.

17/12/2025: It's a bit dull and boring waiting around for the food, most other chippers have a bit of craic , but the food is decent , chips are great
16/12/2025: All the remorse but sadly little of the joy from a bag of chips and onion rings. Nice staff and very clean and not expensive Probably got them at a bad time without the chip turnover so not as nice as fresh ones

19/02/2026: Attended a charity event here and had lovely food, drink and service. Recommend.
07/02/2026: My boyfriend had his birthday in Lisa's Yummy at the end of January, and it was great fun. Lisa and her daughter (Lucy) were so accommodating! We had some tasty cocktails (with normal or strong options!!) and large beers. Lisa was good fun and we even had a performance from Lucy ♥️ We will definitely be booking our next party with Lisa! The Spice Girls wall paper in the toilets was the cherry on top x

SmashIt
Dublin
11/10/2025: One of the worst experiences I have had, and I didn’t even try their food. We waited just under 20 minutes before someone came to our table, and that was after I had to go up to the host and ask if we could order. Keeping our 5yo entertained was not easy. When we then said that my wife was a coeliac the waitress said everything on their menu had gluten in it. Literally no options for a Coeliac. This made no sense as they had chicken, salads. Their burgers must be terrible, if they have flour in them! We left immediately, and they couldn’t care less. As we left we saw others with food and it looked cheap and nasty. Avoid at all costs
29/09/2025: Food is normally amazing just a few times recently it’s tasted like quite a bit worse when the food is good I’d recommend with flying colours

Old Country Grill
Dublin
08/06/2025: Decent fish and chips that suffer slightly from being served in a vertical bag instead of being wrapped horizontally. Clean shop. Depressed staff.
27/05/2025: Large portion of fish & chips, good value. Only thing was the batter wasn’t crispy enough, too doughy.

Camden
Dublin
15/02/2026: Booked for 6 people to celebrate a birthday. It was a short notice booking and valentine's day, so we were happy to secure a table. Looked at the website and the menu shown was good. Lots of choice and a casual burgers, BBQ, fries type of offering. I was looking forward to a vegan burger which sounded really nice (I'm not vegetarian or vegan). We arrived and were shown to a table in the covered outdoor smoking area. Not delighted with being in a smoking area but we were a short notice booking so not to worried about it. It was cold. The heater above us didn't really help so coats were kept on. Again, not too big of a deal.
We were left at the table for a little longer than appropriate, so I walked to the bar inside and asked for a server to attend. A server came soon after.
The menu we were offered was NOT the menu on the website. This menu was much reduced. No vegan burger on offer. The dishes we ordered were chicken burger, smash burger, pork ribs, chicken wings, boudin balls, Texan smoked beef brisket, Cajun fries. Sides were Mac & cheese and fries included with some of the mains along with "greens".
The chicken burger was nice. A large grilled chicken breast, tender & juicy, some cheese, salad leaves, bacon and a nice garlicy sauce on a large brioche bun. I liked it.
The smash burger was described as really nice. The chicken wings also described as very nice.
The pork ribs, while tasting good weren't as juicy as would have been liked.
They are the positives.
The Texas Smoked Brisket accompanied by Mac & Cheese and "greens" at €18 was a distant pale imitation of what it claimed to be. Three slices of beef lay, unadorned by any sauce, on a plate beside a small serving of uncooked, limp baby spinach and red chard, the type that comes in a plastic bag preprepared in your local supermarket, over which had been dripped a brown sauce/dressing. On my companion's plate this sauce was dribbled over the beef slices.
The beef was NOT smoked, was dry and hard and devoid of any juices. Texan brisket it most certainly was not. Dreadful. No flavour and hard to eat. It was left on the plate. The Mac & Cheese was only ok. Pasta was cooked ok, but the cheese sauce needed seasoning. Some cheese was scattered on the top and not grilled as I would have preferred.
The boudin balls, an arrancini type offering with beef brisket through the rice tasted ok. The crumb coating was over fried and too dark. Again, it was a little bland and under seasoned, but that could be my palate and the accompanying bowl of sauce was very nice.
Fries were bog standard frozen fries, the Cajun version liberally dusted with a spice mix.
Service was a bit sparse, we felt a somewhat neglected at times as we were out in the beer garden. The server was friendly if a little disinterested. When I complained about the beef brisket his response was that he would "tell the chef".
The beer garden roof had a leak which dropped on to my head. There was heavy rain that evening, but to be cold and wet in a restaurant?? It was an occasional drip and I was able to reposition my seat to avoid.
The bill, had the food been better, was reasonably inexpensive for Dublin city centre. But, apart from one or two exceptions, the food was not good, the response to complaints was not adequate, the seating area was not comfortable, the menu advertised was not available and we, the paying customers, left disappointed.
14/11/2025: Booked this place for a group of 14 with drinks and platters. Worked with João to book it and it was all smooth and everyone enjoyed it!
