The best restaurants in Dublin

22/11/2025: Just an update in Nov 25. The food is better than ever. Just had one of the best hot and sour soups, packed with meat and prawns and deliciously spicy. The spice bag had delicious and large chicken pieces with very good chips. Breast of Chicken curry, fried rice and spare ribs all very good. Top class. Very tasty, authentic and consistent Chinese restaurant. Excellent for take away, top marks from me.

09/11/2025: delivery time needs to be set up earlier, we orderd at 4:55 as soon as they open it, all we got was chicken balls chips and 3 in 1 the food didnt arrive until 6:25, when we called at 6:05 the lady said its on the road and wont be long, we then called at 6:18, the lady once again said its on the way, lo and behold it did not arrive until 6:25. Either hire more drivers or open the times earlier

15/12/2025: Food here is awesome. Their burgers and kebabs are amazing…

08/08/2025: Food was horrendous and expensive 17:50 for a collection for one. Dry chips, cheap small cheap sausages, lumpy microwave curry sauce.

12/06/2025: This is the most relaxed insomnia I have visited in Dublin. It's got a great Vibe. Service with a smile. And Great Coffee. It's a Cool Coffee Shop. Cool People and a cool Vibe. I would definitely recommend

04/12/2025: Gotta be honest I’ve gotten from here a few times now and they not once gave me what I actually ordered, they always get my order wrong and give me something else, the saving grace is that the food is very nice. the service is very fast which is great and convenient but if getting the correct order once in a while meant waiting a little longer I wouldn’t mind haha take your time lads!

07/01/2026: My favorite place to order takeout. Been ordering here for years. Great prices with great portions. Absolutely recommend. Have ordered food with a friend with lots of allergies and he didn't have any reactions- seems they keep the kitchen very clean with no cross contamination

03/10/2025: Best spicebag! But Google maps and the website opening times need to be updated. At the moment it says it’s open till 1am on Thursday when it is actually 12pm. I ordered online for collection at 12:35pm but got a call at 12:10pm saying I needed to collect my order asap as they were closing. This should be amended to avoid confusion in the future!

06/01/2026: Stayed one night to be close to the Board Gais theater (which is only a 5 min walk away.) We had room 310. Big comfy bed, safe, tea/coffee/kettle. Handwash & Shower gel/body wash in the bathroom. Very spacious room and lots of wardrobe space. Also an iron & board as well as a hair dryer.

04/01/2026: Good location, nice design in the room, comfortable bed , huge bathroom, on the negative side , no smart TV or Netflix ,which is minimal for a 4 star hotel , breakfast only served from 8 o’clock, information that was not mentioned to us upon checking in or anywhere in the room, the asian/african receptionist at check in was odd .

30/12/2025: I always come here when I’m looking for a really good carvery. My mother loves it too, and she has limited mobility but is always able to get a table. They serve loads of other food apart from carvery and everything is delicious. The staff are so good, they always look after us. Highly recommend.

28/12/2025: Came here for breakfast. The food was great. There was just a lot of confusion during service even though the restaurant wasn't so busy. But overall great experience. Will be back.

04/01/2026: I come here about once a month with a group of friends, and it's generally a great time. The tea selection is fantastic, and I've yet to have a bad one. The desserts are also really nice, and the atmosphere is cozy.

27/12/2025: My second trip to this very special oasis of calm and serenity on the north bank of the river Liffey ("Anna Livia Plurabelle" herself) and it improved my day no end. Hostess Sandra seated me (most comfortably) and then returned to take my order: No. 44 on the menu, a remarkable Slovakian tea with honey and lemon, which I noticed is prescribed for cold and flu' (neither of which I happen to have). Noticbly calmer, plus with a spring in my step and an friendly "Hello" for everyone who crossed my path, I emerged back into the world a better man (much enriched by my experience in The Tea Garden...). NB.: Prepare to forget about time itself once you step into this establishment. Also, cash ONLY!

25/01/2026: I was there for the first time, but not the last. The kebab was first-class, with large, tasty portions. The service was very friendly. The atmosphere was average.

24/01/2026: Ordered food they took the money and never delivered the food tried ringing and they just never picked up the phone

10/07/2025: Unfortunately, I've had my orders messed up multipe times and been outright given the wrong order more than twice from different staff and seen them mess up other people's orders and have to run after them. I mean in both the sense of getting the order's detail wrong, like leaving on onions when you asked for none, or outright giving you someone else's food. There's making a mistake and there's being consistantly disorganized. The staff arent at all unfriendly, the food is fine when you get what you ordered, but double check what they give you before you've gone all the way home. I really don't recommend going here if you have specific allergies.

08/06/2025: Decent fish and chips that suffer slightly from being served in a vertical bag instead of being wrapped horizontally. Clean shop. Depressed staff.

27/05/2025: Large portion of fish & chips, good value. Only thing was the batter wasn’t crispy enough, too doughy.

13/11/2025: The weirdest coffee shop I know it's never open even when it's supposed to be it seems to open and close whenever it suits

31/12/2025: Very disappointed with our experience. We were told the waiting time would be 45 minutes, but ended up waiting over 2 hours for our order. When the food finally arrived, the order was completely mixed up. We ordered two prawn curries, but instead received three duck dishes and only one prawn dish. This was especially frustrating as two people in our group don’t eat meat at all, so they had to share one dish. The order was over €70, yet there were no prawn crackers, no apology items, and nothing complimentary added. Given the long delay and mistakes, this was very disappointing. Overall, poor service and lack of care. We won’t be ordering again.

22/10/2025: Ordered 3 takaways from here and food was amazing. Delivery was very quick too. My compliments to the chefs and the owner.
