STREET 66
Dublin

Diwali
Dublin
10/04/2025: awful food delivered, missing items and when called up they told us to order again in order to be sent the items, ridiculous then said they don't do refunds.
07/04/2025: The food wasn't very good — we even noticed some flies on our dishes.
The waiter also brought us the wrong order.
Most concerning, though, was when the waiter asked if we could afford to pay for the food. It felt a bit discriminatory, possibly even racist.
That said, I still hope the place improves and does well.

Saray Kebab House
Dublin
08/07/2024: The food is super delicious and reasonably priced.
29/06/2024: Very good value. Ordered a durum mix menu. Chef was ok with making it into a wrap. Nicely sliced and even gave some vinegar for chips.
Can highly recommend. Good friendly service and super tasty kebab

Quarry House
Dublin
15/02/2025: The bar staff are very friendly, great pint of Guinness! Great atmosphere
31/01/2025: While they do not serve food, they do allow you to bring it in and eat it so long as you do not make a mess.
Perfectly fair and reasonable, will continue to go for a nice drink 👍.

Note Dublin
Dublin
19/04/2025: My Mum had been gifted a voucher for here so we booked lunch for the first time. We ordered the set 3 course limited lunch menu as there were no other options excluding snacks of focaccia or oysters. We chose a bottle of white wine from Puglia priced at €40 to share (2nd cheapest on the menu: overall limited value to be found on the wine menu). There is a discretionary 12.5% service charge added to the bill. We were charged €4 for two bottles of still water. We didn't ask for the second bottle and weren't informed there was a charge for the still water then we were charged a further service charge on top of that. The restaurant wasn't busy and has an uppity feel but did have some tables occupied at 2pm on a Friday afternoon. The set lunch menu was €32 per person which on paper looks good value. To start there was a waldorf salad (no other choice). It was tasty especially with the blue cheese and dressing. However, it was awkward to eat as the chicory (I think) was sword shaped. For mains, I chose the cavatelli in brodo with hedgehog mushrooms. It was tasty but I have eaten far better pasta dishes. I also got to try what my Mum ordered: pork collar with celeriac remoulade. Again flavourful but an incomplete dish if you don't order a side. For dessert, we were given the rhubarb fool (no other choice). Very tasty, however I was looking at this menu as a Speech and Language Therapist trained in managing swallowing difficulties and the limited menu had a high proportion of high risk foods (IDDSI) in terms of how they were presented eg the sword shaped chicory, the stringy apple, walnuts and the thick fibrous rhubarb stalks. I had a knife to cut up and modify the salad but didn't have a knife to cut the rhubarb stalks in the dessert and the spoon didn't cut it adequately. Perhaps something for the chef to consider so that food can be safer and managed more elegantly. There are other options in Dublin which I will explore the next time in terms of food choices and value.
19/04/2025: Creative menu, very high quality ingredients and generous portions. Service and atmosphere are excellent

The Secret Garden @ The Alex Hotel
Dublin
09/12/2024: Adorable staff, calm and super cute area 😍. Crazy prices but that’s commun Dublin prices 😅. At least no surprising fees at the end on the bill !
29/10/2024: The place is stunning and beautifully decorated with great taste. However, the dishes didn’t quite meet our expectations for the price they have. The portions were smaller than expected, and the flavors could have been better.
Additionally, the service was slow, even though we were the only ones there (3 pm for a late lunch).
We’ll return for coffee or cocktails, but likely not for the food.

Costa Coffee
Dublin
26/03/2025: Came here to study and the staff are so polite and kind and the brownie was delish
23/03/2025: Came to Costa coffee to pass time, I wasn’t feeling a coffee so decided to get a kids innocent smoothie thinking it will be cheaper then a coffee. I was wrong, FOUR EURO TEN CENT for a tiny little smoothie that’s a joke a small coffee here is 3.35 I actually cannot believe they are charging people €4.10 for a smoothie that wouldn’t even fill half of a small coffee cup absolutely ridiculous

Five Guys
Dublin
09/05/2025: Popped into Five Guys Dundrum after work and was pleasantly surprised. I’d previously tried the city centre branch and wasn’t impressed, so my expectations were low – but this visit completely turned that around.
Service was fast, there was no wait at all, and the food hit the spot perfectly. The cheeseburger was juicy, packed with flavour, and customisable with free toppings – I went for jalapeños, which added a brilliant kick. The milkshake was just as satisfying – creamy, rich and indulgent.
It’s quick, convenient, and seriously tasty. If you’re in the area and fancy something filling without the fuss, this Five Guys is definitely worth a stop. A perfect fix after a long day.
16/04/2025: I was in this restaurant today. I took a hamburger with green pepper, and fries. They didn't ask me for the cook of my meat, the pepper was half raw. 11,25€ for a small and greacy burger, I found it overpriced. I took too a regular drink for 4,65€, with refills. All the drink was mixed with water. The fries where good but the rest was overpriced.

The George
Dublin
11/04/2025: Bar staff is racist. Club very big on being “inclusive” but staff wouldn’t serve me as a black woman. I had to get my white Irish friends to order drinks for me - bad vibes. 10.04.2025
08/04/2025: The George is a great place to have a good night out. The shows are very entertaining and the people are good fun and it feels safe.
I will mention that the bald bouncer (almost) refused to let my friend in because he didn't "look gay". A bouncer of a gay nightclub shouldn't be acting this way and needs a bit of a cop on.
