The best restaurants in Dublin

10/05/2026: 3 of us arrived for brunch, got a seat inside and were seen to pretty quickly but that was the end of what went well. They brought out the wrong dishes. None of us got the right thing. They took them away but didn't communicate anything. 30 mins later I asked about our order and the server said there was an issue in the kitchen. 10 mins later 2 of the 3 dishes that arrived were correct. It was another 10 minutes before the last meal came. No butter for the toast, no salt on the table (the food was kinda bland), overall a very disappointing experience.

30/04/2026: The place is very quiet and comfortable. I went during brunch time and the place wasn't full. The place was clean and tidy. The service was a bit slow and not very attentive. I had Irish breakfast which was good and the portion was reasonable. I’d especially recommended it if you want to spend a quiet morning and eat delicious food.

20/12/2025: Food was bland and they only give you a handful of chips was pretty much an insult for the price. The burger had no taste and was almost very greasy. Such a shame but won't be going back again. Very old chipper. Man came across very ignorant especially when I wanted my bag / handful of chips in a separate bag.

17/06/2025: Enjoyed a really tasty meal here. Will definitely be returning. Service was good and the food was super, a really enjoyable dining experience. All of the group enjoyed their food.

12/06/2026: Service was good, but the sushi themselves have changed since the last time ive ordered. I ordered large party set. Previously they had cucumber maki and radish maki along with the salmon maki and tuna maki, now cucumber and radish were gone. Omlet nigiri, i guess thats how they are called, now are twice smaller than previously. Also rolls with fish stufing were missing from my order. The lady owner that i used to always deal with regarding my order, she made sure the orders are right, no mistakes made and that the food was top quality, i havent seen her this time, so i am not surprised. This was my top 1 pick for sushi takeaway, even then i drove from Co.Meath. And when they closed down in dublin not far away from the city centre, i used to drive 1 hour and 40 min, just to collect my order from Sandyford. Now i think i will be looking for a new sushi takeaway, unfortunately.

20/05/2026: Dropped in for the first time for lunch during the week. Was really impressed. I’ve atmosphere inside and excellent food. Very good menu. Will definitely return.

19/02/2026: Attended a charity event here and had lovely food, drink and service. Recommend.

07/02/2026: My boyfriend had his birthday in Lisa's Yummy at the end of January, and it was great fun. Lisa and her daughter (Lucy) were so accommodating! We had some tasty cocktails (with normal or strong options!!) and large beers. Lisa was good fun and we even had a performance from Lucy ♥️ We will definitely be booking our next party with Lisa! The Spice Girls wall paper in the toilets was the cherry on top x

28/05/2026: I’ll never order from here again. Food arrived an hour after ordering reheated and tasting of nothing. They said they’d take it back and half hour later called to say I’d have to pick it up. I said I wanted my money back. I’d have to come and pick that up. Used to be good but has seriously gone downhill.

05/05/2026: So disappointing. Apparently this is 2 large fries (worth €9) and 2 fresh code (€20). The portion sizes are well off the mark for what’s advertised. This was our second time ordering and it will be our last. The first order had some issues of consistency with the fish, one being much larger than the other, but made up for it by taste and quality of the chips. This time the chips barely split across 2 people despite supposedly being 2 large portions and the fish was on the small side. Chips were tasty enough. Fish was dry and separated from the batter. Won’t risk a third disappointing experience, especially given the cost.

03/02/2026: Great food, very fresh offered by the team at Zaytoon Camden Street Dublin, all cooked there and then and full of flavours and colours on your plate. Not expensive and provides a great place experience eating in house. Worth a visit on your next visit to city centre.

21/04/2026: No.1 takeaway in Ireland. My family and I are getting our food here since it opened. Lovely owners, staff and delivery drivers. Food is second to none. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

06/08/2026: Service was poor. Waiters were inattentive and had poor communication skills. The food was cold and lacking in taste. Wouldn't recommend.

05/08/2026: A charming place! There were quite a few items missing from the menu, but what we ordered was delicious. Our English is a bit limited, but the manager, Alejandro, helped us with everything—he was lovely. 10/10! If we return to Dublin, we'll definitely be back!

28/06/2026: Had the carrot cake at Pete's in Sandymount and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh, moist, and full of flavour. One of the better carrot cakes I've had in a while.

18/06/2026: I had the strawberry Nutella pancakes from Pete’s of Sandymount, and they were really good. The pancakes were soft and warm, and the Nutella with fresh strawberries worked well without being overly sweet. Staff were also really friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and pleasant.

20/06/2026: Ordered a bacon cheese burger. Gentleman asked which toppings - did that. Food arrived swiftly - no bacon. Two of my friends are students. One got the student bacon cheese burger deal (again no bacon). The second ordered the same - got charged full price. Not worth it. Been to many a WOW Burger - this has to be the most underperforming. For context it wasn’t busy, arguably empty.

15/06/2026: Terrible. You'd do better at home with a pan and some ingredients. Seriously, save your money and go to McDonald's.

18/07/2026: Excellent place to shop and eat there.

29/06/2026: It's not a gourmet shop at all. The prices are outrageous. We bought fruit and there was an ant in one raspberry, and the rest were moldy. Not recommended at all.

03/08/2026: Restaurant inside the Guinness storehouse that you access after the tour. On the 5th floor there are 3 restaurants. This is one of them. Prices range between 18 and 30 euros, we had fish & chips which was good and the beef stew pie with Guinness and beer bread which was incredible. This is our recommendation. The price is a little lower than the other restaurant and the options are more limited, but it's self-service, you order and pay at the bar and wait at the table.
