12/07/2025: It was my first time at the place and I didnt have much time to eat so I asked if the food would take long. Ivonne was super friendly and told me it wouldnt. She helped me order quickly and suggested the perfect burger for me it was delicious. Thanks to her great service and recommendations I had a great experience. I will definitely be coming back with more time to enjoy the place properly. Thanks Ivonne

22/06/2025: I came here with a hen party and had a wonderful time. The service was the highlight with the staff being kind and attentive, the food was lovely and drinks were delicious. They accomodatate non drinkers in the bottomless brunch which was great. Everyone had a wonderful time! Definitely would recommend!

13/04/2025: Ambiente/vibración fantástico, un retroceso total a los años 70 y 80, pero no se siente cojo y anticuado, comenzando por la sensación secreta de entrada y el viaje por las escaleras. Tranquilo, buena comida y una gran carta de vinos. El servicio también era excelente y la música encajaba con el ambiente. Estuve en Irlanda durante aproximadamente 2 semanas y este fue el descanso perfecto de la vida del pub. ¡Volveremos al 100%!

02/02/2025: Visitamos La Cueva con la esperanza de una auténtica experiencia gastronómica francesa, pero desafortunadamente, la comida y el servicio no cumplieron con las expectativas. Como nota positiva, el lugar en sí es hermoso y tiene un ambiente elegante, preparando el escenario para lo que esperábamos que fuera una gran comida. Sin embargo, la comida estaba lejos de ser auténtica, y nos dejamos cuestionando si el chef tiene formación formal en cocina francesa. Comienzo: La sopa de cebolla francesa fue decepcionante y careció de los sabores ricos y profundos que definen este plato. Principal: La caña de cordero era promedio en el mejor de los casos, y las guarniciones no la complementaban bien. Los sabores se sentían desiguales. Postre & queso: La selección de quesos sabía como si procediera de un supermercado local, y las galletas saladas eran galletas saladas estándar de Carr directamente de un paquete, difícilmente lo que se esperaría de un restaurante que tiene como objetivo ofrecer una experiencia gastronómica francesa. Tampoco había servicio. Mientras que los camareros eran amables, tuvimos que pedir todo — agua, limpiar la mesa, e incluso el siguiente plato. Hubo poca atención, lo que hizo la experiencia frustrante. En general, aunque La Cueva tiene un entorno hermoso y elegante, la comida y el servicio no estuvieron a la altura de las expectativas. Desafortunadamente, no lo recomendaría para aquellos que buscan una verdadera experiencia gastronómica francesa.

03/06/2025: We recently hosted our Day 2 of our wedding in the river terrace of Ashtons, and to say the team went above and beyond would be an understatement! We went for the BBQ option and the food was incredible (and plentiful!) and every single member of the Ashtons team were so lovely, and so attentive to all of our guests. We had a number of guests coming up to us making comments about how well run the whole event was! I couldn’t recommend it more for anyone booking an event, Gerry and the team were fantastic to work with.

07/03/2025: —- Oh guys what happened? Was going there for years and used to be great but now very disappointing! —- I know your in middle of renovations, but portion for chicken supreme was pigeon leg sized and in red wine gravy and mash… ehh and chicken supreme is usually in a white creamy sauce? Too expensive shrink-flationed portions! Bridges burnt won’t return.

05/06/2025: One of the best chinese takeaway i ever tasted from Have been a customer for 6 months and never fails to disappoint us Chuongs who manages the takeaway is so kind and talented chef You should try his honey chilli crispy prawn noodles or my favourite crispy prawn/chicken in satay sauce will just melts on your tongue booming with flavour The price and portion sizes is the best around

21/07/2025: Went to get 2 battered sausages not even a big order. Got there at 10:33 and they close at 11 fella who works in there closed the door and brought the shutters down. Absolute disgrace

26/06/2025: Just on Holidays couldn't believe the price of a bag of chips 5euros pre ordered and still had too wait.The chips were half cooked.It was the most expensive bag of chips I found in Dublin.

16/06/2025: I didn’t want to leave a bad review, so I thought I’d message you directly, which I did on all platforms. (It's been months now) We collected an order after driving over a half hour to get it. It cost almost €50. Fish and chips, fish box and a mega box was included in the order and all chips were inedible. They were all wrinkled, black and look and tasted reheated. They couldn’t even be swallowed they were that dry. The thicker chips were completely raw and hard & literally tasted like raw potato. The salt n chilli chicken was the very same, dry, hard and couldn't be swallowed, the little bit we got. The chips were a big portion of everyone’s meal and the whole meal was ruined! There’s no doubt that both Chinese chips were reheated more than once by the look and taste of them. The food wasn’t even hot when we collected (10 minutes after calling) we rang it in as we were nearly there. How they can even be served to a customer is beyond me. By far the worse slop we've ever been handed. We looked so forward to trying this out and to get home to what we received was so disappointing! Devastating after paying so much for it.

19/07/2025: Pyg is always a good deal, nice music, great food, marvellous cocktails. I always bring friends there for a nice end of the day social.

19/07/2025: Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Keith was particularly great and helped us find a quiet spot to sit with our autistic son. Lowered music and just made it a very pleasant experience. It was much appreciated and we will be back.

23/02/2025: Wow, I was in this pub again recently after a two year break. The host was so rude, really bad. I haven't experienced such insolence in a long time. I really can't recommend it, I'd rather go somewhere else. Totally unpleasant atmosphere Bad-tempered faces at the bar The service was really bad. Barely had time to place our order. The waiter immediately left as if he was happy to be rid of us. Totally unfriendly and not interested in his job. That doesn't work at all!

30/01/2025: A truly stunning classic afternoon tea which is presented very luxuriously. Perfectly crafted pastries. Delicious scones with the appropriate spreads. The patisserie is also very notable with the delicious desserts at the top of the etagere. The classic sandwiches were also delicious. Also a very good and high quality selection of tea. The afternoon tea is a little more expensive, but everything is handmade and you can order as much as you want. Very good friendly service and nothing is missing. A must visit for anyone who wants to enjoy a classic but luxurious afternoon tea.
