The best restaurants in Dublin

03/07/2025: Waited about 20 minutes for a table which is expected but not a staff member in site, paid very small and terrible quality pizza for €25, quite blande and flavourless, dough balls advertised comes in cheese dipping but there was a very artificial tasting cheese melted over the stale dough balls, wasn’t impressed at any of the food for the price your paying, waiter was friendly

30/01/2025: Has been one of my favorite places for years, great food, lovely staff, whether dining in or taking away, it never disapoints. The Lab Gai is my favorite dish, if you can handle the heat, but it's all lovely, think have tried every dish at this point. Highly recommend!!! Update - The Food is still as amazing as ever, great staff, the manager who runs the place is so proffesional, she'd do well in any High End restaurant in London or Paris. Highly recommend Thanks

20/04/2025: I went in here for a quick pint before dinner on Sunday 20th April, 1.30pm. The woman behind the bar was very rude and had a very hostile attitude. Won't be back.

21/06/2025: We regularly come here for lunch and are always warmly welcomed. The food is consistently very good, fresh, and served at a fair price. Great value and service, highly recommended!

02/05/2025: Stopped by in the evening to try some sushi and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the salmon and avocado norimaki rolls—bite-sized sushi filled with a generous amount of fresh salmon and creamy avocado, wrapped in nori with rice and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. The service was quick, and the overall customer experience was great.

06/06/2025: What a terrible experience! The staff were extremely unwelcoming. We ordered a set meal that included a starter, a main course, and a dessert. The starter portions were ridiculously small—just a tiny piece of each item. The main course was also disappointing, with barely any meat in the dish; it was mostly sauce. And for dessert, there was no choice at all—just ice cream. We considered ordering an extra dessert, but after checking the menu, we found nothing interesting—and none of the options were Indian, which was surprising. To make matters worse, the cutlery were extremely old and poorly cleaned, which made the whole experience feel even more unpleasant. When my ice cream arrived, they gave me a teaspoon to eat it, showing a total lack of attention to detail from the staff. As for the food itself, it was overly sweet and completely lacking in seasoning—nothing like authentic Indian cuisine. Honestly, it was the worst restaurant meal I've ever had. I would never recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and decent service.

06/06/2025: I had high hopes for Shanai, given its promise of authentic Indian flavours, but unfortunately, the experience fell flat. The food was underwhelming – lacking the bold spices and richness you’d expect from Indian cuisine. Dishes tasted bland and uninspired, missing the depth and warmth that define a good Indian meal. Service was equally lacklustre, with staff seeming disengaged and the overall atmosphere failing to make up for the culinary shortcomings. Compared to other Indian restaurants in Dublin that deliver on both flavour and hospitality, Shanai simply doesn’t hold up. If you’re looking for an authentic and flavourful Indian dining experience, there are certainly better options elsewhere in the city.

14/07/2025: Food quality doesn't match the expensive prices.

09/07/2025: We dropped in for a quick bite while using up some time. As usual with TGI , it’s not cheap but it’s consistent. We had the boneless chicken wings platter one portion of fry’s and two Pepsi . The drinks have free refills Whig we were offered by the waiter more than once. Wings were great and not bad value shared . All in all it was relaxing and I couldn’t fault the place

21/07/2025: Horrible customer experience! Not worth spending money in this establishment! We were looking at the different chocolate boxes that were displayed on the wall to make a purchase. The boxes were packed on the wall and not balanced. A few boxes fell and we put them back, they fell again. A young lady that worked there came over and said “geezzz” to us as we were putting them back for the second time. Do your job correctly, we were being kind by placing them back up on your unsuitable display. If you want customer service do not visit this establishment.

09/08/2024: Gutted to see this has closed. First class coffee and always the best music. Staff were brilliant, friendly, took great care with their work and really knew their coffee. I wish them the best in the future.
