The best restaurants in Dublin

23/08/2025: In viaggio a Dublino ho mangiato più volte in questo posto, sempre molto soddisfatta. Ottimo il loro piatto della tradizione fish & chips, per me in versione senza glutine con una perfetta panatura croccante e non unta. Atmosfera informale ma con stile e servizio attento e curato. Una nota particolare alla professionalità e simpatia di Simone!

22/08/2025: GOT A HAIR IN MY FOOD !!! WHEN I POINTED THIS OUT TO STAFF SHE SAID THE HAIR IS BLACK , AND YOU HAVE DARK HAIR . BUT OTHER STAFF HAD LONG BLACK HAIR ALSO . I GOT NO APPOLAGY NO SORRY NO NOTHING. SHE JUST WALKED OFF AS IF IT WAS MY PROBLEM NOT HER'S. RUDE , AND CHEEKY STAFF . UN TRAINED IN FOOD SAFTY OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. DONT EAT HERE , ITS A DUMP.

05/09/2025: I had an amazing time. Everyone was warm and welcoming. I was visiting from the States with my buddy, and we will definitely be back next time we are in Dublin.

15/10/2025: The food really is crap. It's not much different from other takeaways. The chicken they sell in Ireland is fake, it's leftover chicken from what they make Chicken Goujons. When they fry this crap, it's pure oil inside. I'll never buy anything here or from any other takeaway again.

30/09/2025: My first and last time coming here. I ordered in for just chicken goujons and dip. Online menu says under €4. As I went in, they charged me €7.50. I clarified only goujons - no chips as the physical menu said €7.20 for the goujons and chips. And then as she was packing it, asking “salt and vinegar?” Which confused me more as never asked for simple goujons - should be seasoned already. To my surprise theres chips in the bag but only like 8 pieces? And the goujons weren’t good quality either. Better to go to Crust and Flame only a few steps further - one goujon there is the size of 2 from toni’s! I know toni’s supposed to be good but this chain, I wouldn’t go again. The service wasn’t any particularly good. I’m not saying they should have all smiles and greet the customer all the time but she simply wasn’t happy to even look at me

01/09/2025: Lovely spot. Very clean. Very warm. Amazing food. Friendly and attentive staff. Have been there a good few times and I haven't been disappointed yet.

30/08/2025: Food quality has really gone downhill in recent years. Meat used to be tasty and fresh, now it feels likes it’s defrosted. Furthermore now it’s invariably fatty, not lean. I’ve had some great takeaways from here in the past, however last three have been consistently bad. Rice also just reheated and stodge. Used to be worth the price premium but certainly not now. I won’t be going back until things improve, especially the quality of the meat… there’s plenty of other options in the neighborhood and I can imagine I’m not the only customer that feels this way. Really hope there’s an improvement in food in the near future… how I’ll figure that out I don’t know…

13/09/2025: Writing a review from today 13/09/2025. Ordered a tea to sit in. The Eastern European lady did not make my tea for over 10 minutes. I stood up to ask for my tea and an Asian lady kindly made the tea immediately it appeared the first server forgot. No apology provided. As I was leaving the premises I put a paper bag in the bin for rubbish. On seeing me putting the bag in the bin, the Eastern European server removed my bag from the bin and placed it on a table and stated “excuse me don’t put that in the bin it’s yours”. It was a recycling bin so in the correct bin? She then rolled her eyes had a very negative attitude and walked away. Very rude and unnecessary behavior from this waitress. The bag was a paper bag from another premises but was clean and placed in the correct bin. Please educate your staff on appropriate customer service etiquette & if there is a policy about not putting paper bags from other premises in a bin please inform customers so they don’t have to face such an interaction as I did today.

13/09/2025: Said it was open at 2 o clock on a Saturday but I was waiting for 20 minutes and it still wasn't open

16/08/2025: Sadly, I have to add to the bad reviews as there must have been a change of ownership at Daddy's? Or maybe it's lack of basic staff training? Ordered two sit in americanos only to get two watery drinks in take away cups, with badly pulled shots and plenty of coffee grounds in the bottom. I used to work in speciality coffee, so can spot a carelessly made coffee from miles away. The staff were pretty unwelcoming also. I won't be back!

14/07/2025: Sorry to say I have to add to the bad reviews as of late. Daddy’s used to be known for its phenomenal food and in theory the dishes are amazing. However the standard is extremely low now especially for the price you pay. On the last occasion I visited I was heavily pregnant. I got the full fry, and everything on it except the toast was disastrous. The sausage was pale, the pudding was undercooked and lukewarm and flavour was on the turn, mushroom was soggy, egg undercooked, and the bacon was hard. I would be embarrassed as kitchen staff to send that out. As for the service, we were waiting ages to be seated, ages for order to be taken, ages for food to arrive and no follow up for us to order more coffee etc. The place was dead so no excuse and plenty of staff on the floor. I used to work in the food industry and know that bad reviews can be terrible for a place but given the previous high standard I just hope owners will make some changes to get it back to what it was. As for now I won’t be back and it genuinely makes me sad! 2 stars given for the creative menu but otherwise, 1 star from me

12/02/2025: I’m Turkish and there is a Turkish man which he is probably manager or the owner of the place. He was swearing to the staff and he was so rude to the customers as well. Never again!

21/01/2025: I ate my first ever kunafa here. It was very rich and delicious. Staff was lovely.

15/08/2025: so good, lots of vegetarian and vegan options, the butter paneer masala and peshwari naan is unreal

18/06/2025: One of the best Indian restaurant, The food was awesome, especially the loaded naan it's one of my favorite dish.

21/09/2025: I am still undecided about what I shall think. The breakfast looks good. Did not get served yet. On a sunny day the staff is busy. Update. The table got cleaned. And I ordered. Orange juice arrived and tastes Update2. The food is good. If you arrive at inconvenient time you may have to wait a few minutes for getting attention and the menu. After ordering, getting coffee may take another few minutes. Despite waiting time, I would come here again.

07/08/2025: Jason is absolutely amazing. He is friendly and welcoming, and his attention to detail when crafting drinks is impressive. The lemonades (strawberry & passion fruit) we ordered were perfectly made. They were very refreshing and flavoring. Jason truly makes sure you have a great experience. Highly recommend!

04/09/2025: Apologies for not posting photos. We had a table of 5 and ordered the set menu. It was delicious. High quality olives, ham, and the rice arrancia was delicious. The quality of the pizzas were excellent, with the scamorza white based pizza being a personal highlight. Thank you. Will return at a future date.

30/08/2025: We love this spot. The bakery stuff is pretty good, I wish they had a microwave to warm the them. Coffee is okay and the environment is already pretty. You could swing by Box’d for a coffee after a walk in the path.

23/08/2025: Always a long queue here and then you wait for the food to be a disappointment. This is probably the worst burger I’ve had. The bun is BURNT. It smells horrid cause of that. The bacon was horribly cooked. Awful. Just awful. So so disappointed. To make it worse the hot chocolate and coffee tasted like water with some powders.
