The best restaurants in Dublin

23/05/2026: I've ordered from here twice in the last week, and it was delicious both times. Beef was great, chicken was great, rice was great and the salt and chilli chips which are proper chipper chips seasoned with salt and chilli were amazing! I ordered extra hot and spicy and both times my request was recognised and didn't disappoint. Thanks for the great food!

10/04/2026: I ordered some spice box, chicken cheese rolls , fried crispy wontons and vegetable rolls for my daughter's birthday party. They all loved the food . Especially the chicken balls in the spice box. I would highly recommend them. Their food is a great choice for a birthday party.

14/07/2026: Really beautiful place with great food, pricey but not exorbitant, especially for the deli options. I sat in with friends and the staff were preparing for a private event so we felt a bit rushed out and like we were an inconvenience.

23/06/2026: Ordered a pizza and desert and never saw any desert as they forgot about it…Pizza pie dry and thin. Sauce and other ingredients ok but not worth money. Serving water to everyone was nice and place looks decent.

09/07/2026: Worst experience possible at this place. We came here on an open day and ordered 2 pizzas,chips and a drink. After waiting 45 minutes for our pizzas, the waiter just placed them at the table and never asked if there was anything else we needed, which there was. My drink that he had forgotten! I followed him up to the bar to try and ask for my drink but once again I was waiting about 30 minutes to get his attention. When I finally got the drink, I came back down very eager to eat my food after waiting too long for it… and what did I find but a hair in my food! Turned me off completely didn’t take one more bite. Terrible service terrible food.

08/07/2026: I booked in to stay at the DCU visitor accommodation as I was going to a concert later that evening. I and my family went to NuBar to grab drinks and a bite to eat only to be met by the rudest barman I’ve ever encountered, and who seemed inconvenienced that we were distracting him from watching the Wimbledon tennis match by placing our drink and food order, as he was quite short and snappy with us. Scoffed at us when we asked for a knife and fork to eat our food with and seemed reluctant to hand them over. I think some training in basic customer service wouldn’t go a miss

29/06/2026: Went in randomly as I was waiting for my bus. Banging spice bag, perfect amount of food. Not too much not too little, plenty chicken and spice ! Will return, lovely staff / owner. Better than any of the spice bags you would get in town !

06/07/2026: I ordered food tonight very disappointed concerning i say there food is good got a donner cab.and my daughter got food no lettuce very dry. Hardly any sauce very disappointed 😞

20/06/2026: Sorry, but not even close to the Clarehall branch, unless things have gone downhill there as well. The Frank’s hot wings were extremely vinegary; we couldn’t finish them as they just weren’t enjoyable. The fries that came with the wings weren’t fresh either, mostly just small broken pieces. We didn’t finish those either. The blue cheese was sour and way worse than it used to be. €40 completely wasted.

17/05/2026: Passed by to get a milk shake on my way to the cinema, and I was served by a lovely waitress with a nice smile and she was also very proactive. It makes total difference to the customer experience when staff are happy. Well recommended place!

19/07/2026: A friend brought food from here home. Have to say I thought it was lovely.Cant fault it….I heard a lad I worked with over 30 yrs ago is involved with the business so Im not surprised it was good.

11/07/2026: We ordered food from this place, and it was extremely disappointing! The food wasn’t that good, and something in it made my husband very sick. He started vomiting a while after eating and kept having to go to the bathroom. He felt absolutely awful. I would recommend ordering from somewhere else to avoid this kind of problem

14/07/2026: The drive trough is nearly always packed. Staff are just fine. I’m not mad, just disappointed.

14/07/2026: Literally been in the last 5 Since when are you dog friendly ? Last time I looked dogs weren't allowed in fast food establishments I'm sure the food safety authority would be incredibly interested in this She was asked to leave once then staff weren't bothered in asking her again 🙄 seriously disgusting

25/07/2026: The all day breakfast is still the highlight, but the staff seem terrified of speaking to customers. Well worth a visit.

24/06/2026: Probably the best breakfast in the city - I've been to many that are far more expensive that aren't a patch on what Howard's Way offers in that regard. If there is any criticism I can give it's that the staff can be very hit and miss - sometimes you will get great service, other times you will be left for half an hour before being able to get your order in, or left waving your hands for attention while staff chat with each other.

08/05/2026: Used to order this takeaway weekly, I always order the Chilli Masala Gosht and it was always tasty, spicy with lots of beautifully cooked, tender lamb. But in the last year something changed and often the lamb arrives with chewy fat that hasn’t had the cooking time to render down and this completely ruins the dish. A month or two ago we ordered two of these dishes and the lamb was really tough in both, when we called the restaurant to complain they didn’t offer to refund so we asked. They said they would refund both reluctantly. They then called back to ask could they come collect the meat to inspect it. We said yes and they said a driver would come. The driver never arrived and neither did the refund. 👎👎👎

08/04/2026: If you’re hunting for authentic Cantonese flavors in Dublin, this spot is a must-visit. It’s easily one of the best in the city. The star of the show is undeniably the Roast Duck, the portions here are very generous. You definitely get your money's worth

21/07/2026: Very disappointed with my experience at Hillbilly's. The chicken I was served was pink in the middle, which is completely unacceptable. Not long after eating it, I started feeling sick and now have really bad stomach pains. On top of that, the staff were rude and didn't seem to care about customers, and the tables were dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. Overall, the hygiene, food quality, and customer service were all poor. I definitely won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend eating here.
