The best restaurants in Dublin

15/04/2025: This review is for the townhouse. The room is only not for the restaurant. The rooms here at the Lombard seemed to be a mixed bag. My family was broken up into two rooms while 1/2 of the family had an excellent room, great comfortable bedsheets great shower I am the other hand got stuck in a room where water dripped from the ceiling and down the walls whenever someone above me took a shower. The only way to reach anyone in the establishment was to wait until the pub below opened and since we checked out early in the morning, there is no way to contact or talk to anyone about this incident I tried two separate email addresses to reach the Lombard about the water situation and the soap floor, including the electrical hazard for the room considering water came out of the ceiling light just a note saying they will get their technician to look at. It was all the response no compensation for the room nothing. The only benefit here with the townhouse is its close proximity to the college and a few other things otherwise it was a bare basics room.

14/04/2025: Decent pub near Pears station. Proper pitnts, never too busy, serve food.

24/03/2025: Got takeout , waited an hour and 15 mins. Got butter chicken , and chicken madras. They were both very bland and the chicken was dry. The naan bread was not fresh. Really disappointing

06/03/2025: Don't bother ordering delivery from this place. They have got worse and worse with delivery times. 2nd time we've been forced to wait over 1.5hrs for food. Ordered on 6/3/25 and still waiting hopefully it will be here by the 7th

18/02/2025: We really like the spicy chicken pizza. The spice bag was also good. I would definitely take out pizza from Pizza Max again

10/10/2024: Used to be a great place until they got their new staff that have no idea how to run a business ... Declined older twenty euro cash note because they assumed it was fake . They couldn't even check as had no UV or cash marker to verify the money and just useless staff they have no idea how to run a business and please train your staff on cash handling and how to verify cash authenticity instead of just assuming people are using fake cash and accusing people for something that's not true .

04/01/2025: We had a fantastic tour of the factory. The tour is very impressive and the Scotsman who gave us the tour is very knowledgeable and very good at departing facts to both adults and children.

18/04/2025: This is one of the very few venues with a backstage. We were performing last month there and there were three bands, there was no issue with space for kit and so on. The place was class. Apparently expensive beers but I don't know because I didn't drink there as was driving.

25/02/2025: Got here at 23:50, drove into drive through and an employee ran away from the window after seeing me, I’m then left there, I knock on the window a few times until someone comes up and says they’re closing and that they have nothing left. I have never in my life seen this place without a single donut, they’re literally made in there. Horrible lazy staff. Put a couple donuts in a box ffs.

21/02/2025: Very poorly managed. Always understaffed, one staff member left doing both drive thru and in store orders, and in store quite dirty as a result. Are card only but no signs to reflect this.

10/03/2025: Food from Chutni has always been incredible however, the lack of follow up from the establishment after one of their drivers was threatening to my friend for parking in a public car park is horrific. I have contacted Chunti twice in relation to this, both times being promised the owner will contact me but after 6+ weeks I have yet to hear from them. Their driver threatened to have my friends car clamped because she parked in the public car park, much further down from the establishment. I explained to him that having lived in the area for 20 years - a clamping agency has never been employed/ enforced there. There are also no signs up within the car park stating clamping is in operation also. The establishment staff assured me that there is no clamping agency enforced in the car park, advising me that the driver only works for them every so often - which is untrue as he is seen there almost daily when they are open. Really disappointed in how they have responded to this. If it was a group of males the driver would have minded his own business however, he decided to intimidate young girls, one who is also heavily pregnant.

09/04/2025: I got a takw away from here and for a burrito crisps and an unmixed milkshake for €29 is unbelivable, the food was nice besides the crisps and milkshake it tasted like the milk or ice cream in it was out of date but I've had better experiences in here when I was younger

04/04/2025: It’s across from my college and theirs is a great student deals, the portions are perfect and they always give a good bit of guacamole. The guy that works there is always so nice.

16/02/2025: Dopo una prima esperienza alcuni anni fa sono tornato in questo ristorante. Ottimo il vino a disposizione (nonostante i prezzi mi sono sembrati parecchio levitati). L'attesa per il cibo è stata un po' lunga e non sono rimasto impressionato dalla bistecca. Speravo meglio.

10/01/2025: Una visita obligada de Navidad. He venido aquí con varios grupos antes de Navidad cada año y cada vez que nunca me decepciona. El restaurante está lleno de gente y es festivo y tiene un gran ambiente. Tiene buena comida y una fantástica selección de bebidas! El personal es amable y todo el lugar tiene un gran ambiente! He cenado aquí en varias épocas del año y ellos también han sido geniales! Un gran activo en el centro de Dublín!

07/04/2025: To say that the staff are amazing is an understatement..after a journey from mayo having no cash for a taxi and misjudging the journey to stillorgan 🙈 ordered a latte by card. DIARMUID one of the staff helped me out, not only by using his app to get me a taxi and as good as paid in full for me was just so kind. I was so appreciative and could not believe how much he went out of his way to help me. A real gentleman and a truly wonderful young man. Thank you a million times Diarmuid you really got me out of a hole..Hope it comes back tenfold to you. Thank you sp much. Maria

22/04/2025: This is mostly a taste matter, the coffee is way too acidic for me. You can tell it has richness but this was very out of balance for me and given the price I would not come back. The espresso cup itself also had some coffee splashes that harmed the experience. The place seems very nice from the outside and it's cozy but too busy. It's small and you order over the coffee machine which especially if you're shorter is very awkward and uncomfortable.
