30/03/2026: Spice bag is decent, but can be hit or miss on certain days. Chicken is halal (according to the staff and owners).

25/03/2026: The food is amazing, the size is fair, quality of meat so far the best i've had in Dublin 15, the spice blend was fantastic, they know how to play with the spices and everything was good, fantastic delivery, they said 30 minutes, in 17 minutes the order arrived, the things i didnt like, so ill start with how greedy it is to charge 24 euros for a munchie box and if u want drinks pay extra 2 euro for each, at least give a drink for free, and the problem with the curry sauce, why give a curry sauce this big, who's gonna eat that much curry sauce?

10/06/2026: It is good and fast, the food is always amazing and for some reason, it's never busy, really good food I like the people working there 100% going again. Kebabs are great, pizzas are lovely ( that's my opinion) and the sauce is chefs kiss

23/03/2026: Had been wanting to try this place for a while, and finally got around to it after a trip. Ordered a couple of starters, two mains, rice and naan - everything was super tasty. The website is really easy to use and gives great info. They even called after the order to let me know one dish wasn’t available and suggested a replacement - which ended up being delicious! The kids loved it, we loved it - definitely hit the spot. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Indian food 🙌

15/02/2026: Sadly, after having been happy customers of Spice Guru for almost 10 years, we have decided that we won't be ordering from them ever again. We have noticed a visible decay in quality in the last 4 orders delivered to us. Reviews of other customers seemed to back up our opinions. Tonight we decided to give it a last try but the food was the worst we ever got. We must have ordered Dal Tadka 50 times and it has never been so liquid, watered down, like it had not been fully cooked. Extremely disappointing. The cheese of the saag paneer tasted a bit acid and the vegetable pakora tasted stale.

04/06/2026: Order: chicken chop suey with fried noodles, no celery. Price: about €13.80, so fairly average for this type of takeaway. Neither cheap nor expensive. 6/10 Portion: standard size. Nothing special, but enough to fill you up. Food was ready in about 15 minutes, which is reasonable. 6/10 Packaging: plastic containers, simple paper bag, plus plastic carry bag. No napkins, no cutlery, no chopsticks. Very basic. 5/10 Fried noodles: taste was good. There was a bit of fried onion in them, but thankfully not too much, and it was properly fried rather than raw, which is definitely a positive point. 8/10 Main dish: quite a generous amount of chicken, which is a good point. Vegetables were cut into very large pieces, much bigger than necessary, but at least they were cooked properly and not left raw. Unfortunately, the biggest problem by far was the EXTREME OVERUSE OF SALT. The whole dish was so salty that it was CLOSE TO INEDIBLE. That alone ruined most of the meal for me. 3/10 Overall: 4/10. Average price, acceptable portion, good noodles and enough meat, but the HEAVILY OVERSALTED made the meal very hard to enjoy and brought the rating down heavily.

13/05/2026: Omg I hate give golden palace this score I have learning disability I can't youse credit card at all only cash bye law when you order you have youse cash hate do this I don't think right only card option youse be so good cash now only card not right not my fault my disability I can't use the card only cash I'm not ordering from here anymore I'm really disappointed I don't think manger s understands how hard it is for lot people disability not use card for me it's really hard to mange older people not everyone has card so it's just wrong I'm done

17/05/2026: I have to say used to love this take away , but tonight I ordered a kebab and burger and the lettuce was so soft and sluggish . In the kebab there was not enough sauce and also it was supposed to be a mixed kebab were there was hardly any chicken in it , I wouldn’t order here again unfortunately.

20/03/2026: I went into Rocca’s today for Lunch. Got a Cod portion, onion rings (x3) and a chicken Kebab. The onion rings were burnt, the cod portion was fine but the chicken Kebab was absolutely ridiculous. When I opened the bag it was all over the bag, bread torn and smothered in sauce. Not enjoyable at all and the chicken was like rubber. As I was leaving I decided to get a small bottle of BPM, €3.50 for a drink is not ok 🙌🏼 I would not recommend this place anymore as 2 minutes away at killester is a nicer place. I know Rocca’s my whole life since I was a kid. I used to get the animal box meal for kids when I was only 6. To see this place go completely downhill is a shame as it’s had a good run as one of the nicer chippers in the area.

03/10/2025: Bought bread and pastries. Asked to the staff if they were fresh and they said yes. When I got home I tried the bread and one pastry, definitely not fresh.

31/07/2025: I purchased a chocolate cake together with a lemon cake, but it was extremely hard and seemed stale, as if it had been left out for several days. I expected a fresh, soft cake, but this was disappointing.

25/02/2026: Great experience today at Avoca, the food was wonderful and the staff friendly. Definitely recommended!!

06/02/2026: The food is great! I had the run-of-the-mill breakfast, which includes all the Irish morning favorites. The toast with the jam went well with the black pudding. Freshly squeezed orange juice, so delicious. The only reason this place doesn't receive 5 stars is that, as others have mentioned, the wait staff can be preoccupied and slow to take an order or refill water. The quality is great, but this will come at a cost. Not sure if Dublin is expensive, or if it's this place, a tourist two cents.

25/05/2026: This place has the most rude staff. I spoke to a woman over the phone recently and I only put up with her total disrespect because I wanted to try the food. Zero percent customer service. Not worth it. The staff need to learn respect for customers. Food is average. They also don't accept card payments (Red Flag), not paying tax? 🤔

06/05/2026: This place used to be brilliant, but my latest order was very disappointing. The prawns in my dish had a mushy, soft consistency rather than the firm texture you’d expect, suggesting they mishandled. I binned the meal as was unedible. Pity as used to be a good takeaway.

21/04/2026: Misleading “24 hours” listing, long wait, and incorrect order This morning I drove to McDonald’s – Gullivers Retail Park, Northwood Ave, which is clearly listed as “Open 24 hours” on both Google Maps and McDonald’s official website. Timeline: - 6:10 am – Left home - 6:13 am – Arrived at the drive‑through - Waited 10–15 minutes with no service at all While waiting, a staff member arrived for work. I asked if the restaurant was open and was told it “was supposed to be open.” - 6:51 am – Returned, and the restaurant was finally operating I ordered and paid for a Double Bacon & Egg McMuffin®. I asked the staff member taking payment whether this location is open 24 hours, and she confirmed yes. When I explained what had happened earlier, she apologised and said they close between 5:00–6:00 am to prepare breakfast — which directly contradicts the advertised 24‑hour opening. When I got home and checked my order, I discovered I had been given only egg and cheese, with no bacon at all, despite paying the full price for a Double Bacon & Egg McMuffin. Summary: - Advertised as 24 hours but not operating as such - Long wait with no service - Paid for a premium item but received a cheaper, incorrect product

29/03/2026: Some items like the McMelt were unavailable, and some of the ordering machines were broken, but overall it was standard McDonald's.

07/06/2026: Today my wife and I visited this coffee shop hoping to relax and enjoy a coffee and some food. Unfortunately, it turned into a very disappointing experience. As soon as we approached the food counter, we noticed rubbish on the floor, untidy tables, and dirty equipment behind the counter. We ordered food and drinks to enjoy while sitting in the café, yet our food was served on top of a brown paper bag and our coffees were given in takeaway cups. After sitting down, a staff member asked us to move to another area of the café. No explanation was given, so we remained where we were. Considering it was only around 5:30pm and the café wasn't closing until 7pm. A few moments later, we were asked again. When we looked at the available seating, there was only one very small space beside other customers. We didn't want to sit uncomfortably close to strangers; we came to relax and enjoy our visit. The situation then escalated unnecessarily when a manager was called over. Instead of handling the matter professionally, the manager was rude and dismissive. We felt upset and unwelcome, so we decided to leave immediately. I couldn't believe customers would be treated this way, seemingly just so the floors could be cleaned earlier. Good customer service should come before convenience for staff. This café would benefit from better staff training, both in maintaining cleanliness around food preparation areas and in how customers are treated. Sadly, we won't be returning.

24/04/2026: I visited this place when I was on holiday to Dublin. One blonde curly haired girl was very kind and help me to choose food and drinks. She kindly explain what are ingredients in the food and also give me advice what else I can visit in Dublin. Food was delicious and staff kind. I will visit this place again.

08/11/2025: The food is very good. That too for students its very affordable. Unlimited buffet with actually good items. From starters to main course. I recommend everyone to at least once have food from here.
