The best restaurants in Dublin

20/07/2025: Just out of the Dean Hotel Dublin. Thank good. Met up yesterday early with my family and was given a room. We realized at around 11pm that the room was next to a night club and the noise kept us awake until 4pm. No notice in advance and given the fact that we are a family, they could easily provided an alternative room. However, coming down to the reception and providing a complaint, we we were met with pure ignorance and in the end hostility. We actually felt unsafe when one of the receptionists in anger actually foot followed us all the way out on to the road. We will of course follow up with the owners of the Dean Hotel Group and further secure that the receptionist in question is identified by the manager of the hotel. 21/07/2025: I am a tourist visiting Dublin, and I was shocked by the racism I experienced at Dicey’s. The security staff treated me with clear prejudice based on my appearance. While other guests were allowed in without any problems, I was stopped, questioned, and spoken to with an aggressive and disrespectful attitude — for no reason at all. When I calmly asked why I was being treated differently, the security guard ignored me and even tried to force me to leave. I felt humiliated and deeply unwelcome — not just by one person, but by the environment that allowed this behavior. As a visitor who came to Dublin with an open heart, this was heartbreaking. I never expected to experience such racism in a public venue. It completely ruined my impression of this bar. Dicey’s needs to take responsibility, educate their staff, and ensure that ALL guests — local or international — are treated equally and with basic human respect. Until then, I strongly recommend tourists and travelers to avoid this place. You deserve better.

21/07/2025: The Worst Bar in Dublin – Dicey’s. Stay Away at All Costs! I used to think this place was cheap, lively, and a good spot to relax and socialize. But after what happened to my friend, I realized the ugly truth: this bar is not only terribly managed, it’s a chaotic and dangerous nightmare. I will never return — and I strongly advise others not to go either. Last night, my friend’s bag was stolen inside the bar. We immediately asked the staff for help, but they responded with complete indifference and told us to “go talk to security.” What happened next was even worse — the security guards were aggressive and refused to listen. They showed no empathy and violently kicked my friend out, even though she had just been robbed and was clearly in distress. The coldness and irresponsibility were absolutely shocking. This bar has endless problems and no bottom line: Rude and aggressive security: Completely unprofessional. They don’t protect customers — instead, they act like gangsters and threaten to throw people out. Staff shift the blame: When something goes wrong, everyone pushes responsibility onto someone else. No one helps. Filthy and chaotic environment: Sticky floors, disgusting toilets, trash everywhere. The place smells like a sewer. Thieves operate freely: Bag thefts, stolen drinks, missing phones — all common here. Security cameras are useless, and no one will investigate. Dangerously overcrowded: You can barely move inside. The air is suffocating. One small argument could easily turn into a fight. Fake atmosphere: Loud music and flashy lights create the illusion of fun, but the reality is stressful, unsafe, and miserable. At Dicey’s, you’re not treated like a guest — you’re just a walking wallet. If something bad happens, no one will help you, and the bouncers might even throw you out. You won’t even be treated with basic human respect. My honest advice: Stay far away from Dicey’s. Go to another bar. Dublin has many clean, safe, and well-managed bars where customers are actually respected. Dicey’s may look exciting from the outside, but behind the lights and noise is pure chaos and disrespect. Don’t make the same mistake we did. Don’t risk your belongings, your safety, or your dignity.

10/04/2025: First time trying this place as new to the area and its absolutely delicious, full of flavour even the 2 year old is milling the food and its hard to get him to eat anything! Also 5 stars for that driver that delivered my food too, so chipper he actually cheered me right up with his greeting over the phone, I've had a bad day😅 then he wouldn't accept my tip because it was "too much" and insisted on not taking it, but I wouldn't take it back so he gave me an easter egg 🥹 legend

22/07/2025: We wanted to try Irish fast food. It was really tasty for what it is. The place was a one man show who took our order and made everything fresh. We sat and ate while looking at the crowds walking Temple Bar.

Place wasn't busy but was dirty, guards were in since there's allows something dodgy happening. 'm so done with this place. Try Rockets down the road.

18/05/2025: Engineer, the service is very fast, you don't wait more than five minutes for your order, it's a clean place, and there are plenty of places to eat. It's accessible for disabled people and has places for children to play while they wait for their food.

15/07/2025: I ordered food but didn’t receive it, even though the status shows “delivered.” I was hungry and needed the food, but it was delivered somewhere else. When I contacted just eat customer care, they said the refund would take 7–8 days. They also gave me a secret code, but it was useless and didn’t help at all. Nobody didn't want to take responsibility

05/07/2025: Turned up at night hoping for a McFlurry, only to be told they don’t serve it because the machine “needs to be cleaned.” No signage, no notice online—just a flat-out refusal. If this is a regular policy, why not inform customers beforehand? It’s frustrating to make the trip and be turned away without warning. Honestly, it feels like a joke. Disappointing service.

There is a wide selection of drinks and pastries. Whenever I am in the area, I stop by to say hello and get my coffee and croissant!

28/06/2025: I don’t leave a lot of reviews but I felt compelled to do so after having the misfortune of visiting this place. The bar itself is really visually appealing but I must say I have never encountered a ruder, colder set of staff in all my years. It was our second bar in Dublin, (with the first one being welcoming, generous and kind) and what a negative impression it left. We queued at the bar for no less than 20 minutes while it wasn’t that busy. The bar staff decided for whatever reason that we were not worth serving to the point that people who were stranding behind us in the queue moved to another section of the bar and were served instantly. In what is a very out of character move for us we felt we had to say something as they consistently ignored us and once they started serving maybe the tenth person who was clearly after us at the bar. A youngish black guy eventually served us as we said “we’ve been standing her for 20 minutes and we were here long before these people” and I have to say he was the rudest most unpleasant person I’ve ever had serve me a drink. He looked at us as if we were nothing and as if it was a chore to serve us a drink. As someone who has managed people for more than 15 years I have to say that I would be ashamed if any of my team members ever acted like this with our customers. This was a disgustingly poor level of customer service provided by these people. If they hate customers so much there should really be a question asked as to why they work in customer facing roles. Finally I need to point out that we were completely sober, well dressed and respectful group and this really put a downer on our day - having felt looked down upon and disrespected. My final message is that if you see us please do not support this business until they completely revamp their approach to the people who want to spend their hard money in their premises. An utterly vile experience.
