The best restaurants in Dublin

28/05/2026: Hi, a person of 68yrs who has been a great supporter of Captain Americas through the years. Back in late 70's ,was nurse training in local area, 10 in the group & would have regularly gone for dinner in restaurant. After that ,visited often,when in Dublin cityh. My family would also have been regulars. My youngest Son, insisted on a visit with us ,before he emigrated to Canada on 2017. Captain Americas has been a big part of my life for many years. A lot of good memories. Sad to see it go, but hope new enterprise will be as good.

14/05/2026: We were lost, not knowing where to eat; it was after 3:00 PM. And yes, without any problem, they served us a delicious meal: a beef stew and a lamb stew. Thank you for your attention. May 12, 2026

25/03/2026: The food is amazing, the size is fair, quality of meat so far the best i've had in Dublin 15, the spice blend was fantastic, they know how to play with the spices and everything was good, fantastic delivery, they said 30 minutes, in 17 minutes the order arrived, the things i didnt like, so ill start with how greedy it is to charge 24 euros for a munchie box and if u want drinks pay extra 2 euro for each, at least give a drink for free, and the problem with the curry sauce, why give a curry sauce this big, who's gonna eat that much curry sauce?

17/05/2026: I have to say used to love this take away , but tonight I ordered a kebab and burger and the lettuce was so soft and sluggish . In the kebab there was not enough sauce and also it was supposed to be a mixed kebab were there was hardly any chicken in it , I wouldn’t order here again unfortunately.

20/03/2026: I went into Rocca’s today for Lunch. Got a Cod portion, onion rings (x3) and a chicken Kebab. The onion rings were burnt, the cod portion was fine but the chicken Kebab was absolutely ridiculous. When I opened the bag it was all over the bag, bread torn and smothered in sauce. Not enjoyable at all and the chicken was like rubber. As I was leaving I decided to get a small bottle of BPM, €3.50 for a drink is not ok 🙌🏼 I would not recommend this place anymore as 2 minutes away at killester is a nicer place. I know Rocca’s my whole life since I was a kid. I used to get the animal box meal for kids when I was only 6. To see this place go completely downhill is a shame as it’s had a good run as one of the nicer chippers in the area.

26/05/2026: Got a takeaway this week. Really poor standard of food, just thrown together basically. Chicken quality was tough and noodles in the pad Thai were all broken up like they came from the end of a bag. If this was a sit down thai restaurant they would never put out this food the way it was presented to us. Definitely won't be going back.

04/05/2026: I have gotten food here a couple of times. Every time that I tried it I either had diarrhea or I was feeling like throwing up. Don't try the food. However, if you do decide to try it, please do so at your own risk.

10/07/2026: I ordered the foods, and the server was yelling to mention the number and it got so rush and embrasseed for guests to get the food. I got my order so I was also just getting the food obviously I didnt check if I got all the sauces I ordered. No sauce at all I checked ofc when I got back to home. This is unfair, Macdonald you should train all your staff at least to check all the orders and putting the correct orders. Yelling the number in incorrect pronunciation... is this normal? Where are all the sauces i even ordered by paying the extra fees??????

10/07/2026: The worse Macdonals i have ever eaten, the fries was supper cold and not well cooked or fried, i think was prepared since morning hours i was there afer 10pm very tired and hungry returning from work. but I end up sleeping empty stomach because i cant eat such uncooked fries. I eat the bread which was very small. And i threw the fries in the bin.

28/07/2026: Friendly staff and good coffee/food, I always try and pop by when getting the green bus from Burgh Quay.

22/07/2026: Step inside, say hi, and continue past the deli to the assorted tables inside. Sit down, and look at what others are having, hint ‐ it's not sandwiches order the eastern food, lamb tagine, chicken couscous, all delicious, then coffee to finish, any issues with the owner can be managed with patience and slight accommodations for different social and cultural norms in North Africa, etc.

30/07/2026: Used to be a great spot but I get a sense that the new staff are not trained properly. Im a local to the area, so Im not talking about a once off instance. Coffees are boiling hot. All drinks (latte, cappuccino, flat white) have the exact same amount of foam which is very frustrating when you ask for a flat white and its 40% foam. Girls are barely paying attention to you and constantly talking.

08/05/2026: It is a takeout-only place that fries the food right there on the spot, so it took about 5 minutes. It was warm, and from an Asian perspective, the taste seems pretty much the same everywhere, but since the only condiments were vinegar and salt, it would be nice if there were more variety in the side dishes. It was an old-fashioned restaurant with a cool vibe, where the staff took care of us casually but without much thought.

31/07/2026: Poor branch, don’t know how it’s still open, food always arrives stone cold, order is usually wrong or the drinks usually spilled, ice cream machine is never ever working. Poor management and incompetent staff.

25/07/2026: Service is abysmal, I wouldnt recommend it if you're looking for fast food. Had to wait ages for the chap to take our order at the drive-thru and then had to wait ages for him to reappear to pay him and that was by a trainer on a quiet morning 🤔

05/07/2026: Food was lovely, staff very friendly and service was very good.

20/06/2026: Place is far too hot, feels like 5 degrees hotter than outside. Can't see the screens properly due to brightness and glare, pretty horrible experience

29/07/2026: At about 14:00 - 14:30, me and my boyfriend go to get food. We're being served by a guy (sadly I didn't get his name). He's super duper polite and tells us not to get 2 loaded fries portions because it is quite big on its own. We patiently wait for our food and he brings it straight after it's done. Cooked nicely so that the burger is still piping hot but the fries are edible, (temperature and flavour wise). We are about to get another drink, when he gave us a refill❤️

19/07/2026: One of the best burgers! Everything was fresh, juicy, and packed with flavour. The quality of the food really stands out. The staff were exceptionally warm, polite, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Great food, excellent service, and a fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommended ✨

17/05/2026: I tried to order a big mac and was told "go to mcdonalds horsebox" i was gobsmacked so went home and put on a wig and glasses and went back and asked for a pizza with pineapple on it, i know some people say pineapple does not belong in a nightclub
