25/07/2025: We came here for dinner because we were staying at the hotel. Contrary to the rather sobering reviews, we had an excellent meal (a perfectly cooked fillet with delicious entrees) and were served superbly by Ana! We and our daughter felt very comfortable in this atmosphere. There are also gluten-free options, as well as bread.

20/03/2025: Was in for some drinks which was served by great bar persons. Music is live at the weekend, a good variety, well worth a visit.

04/09/2025: Today (03-09-2025) I asked the bartender with dark hair for a glass of water in this pub but he wouldn't let me have a glass of water. I think he said glass of water is only for paying customers. He seemed to be very unkind, rude, disrespectful and ungrateful. Right! That's it! I am never coming back to that pub again ever!
If you're reading this, avoid the pub as you would an arrow.

24/10/2025: I do not know if the staff is untowardly or just flat out racist. They are brusque, sometime flat out rude. I am inclined to think that it is only towards indians as not many other reviews suggest such a behaviour. The review won't change much but seriously, I hope you guys do a bit better.

26/09/2025: I loved the mustard and a little bit of ketchup perhaps. Greeted with a unpleasant surprise as I had flashbacks to steal a brainrot and squeezed mustard all overmyself.

19/10/2025: Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the "Italian coffee" expectations the logo suggests. The coffee has a bitter, acidic aftertaste, and the desserts are a bit dry.
12/10/2025: On Sundays at 8 a.m., there aren't many options for a small vegan meal. I'm not a fan of coffee, but the other options were superb: friendly, ambiance, food, and open on Sundays.
The vegan options are clearly listed on the website. The apple crumble was our highlight 👍👍👍

Sweet Besil Chinise & Thai Rest

07/10/2025: Wonderful experience at the newly rebranded Sweet Basil (now Kung pao panda) today - the service was excellent (very quick and all staff extremely welcoming and friendly) and the food was absolutely delicious. I had chicken chow mein medium spice, the chicken was succulent and the medium spice sauce had a subtle kick which really enhanced the noodles. Very generous portion size, very reasonable price and most importantly super tasty - I highly recommend the restaurant, staff and food and I look forward to my next visit!

27/07/2025: Tasty quarter pounder meal, though it feels a bit expensive. It wasn't busy on a Saturday night so it was pretty quick for a walk-in order. Their menu has all the staples for a chipper plus some niche additions like mochi ice-cream & a "special" burger which is chicken & beef. Staff were pleasant. Decor inside is classic chipper so feels like you're in the 70s.
