The best restaurants in Dublin

14/04/2025: The food in Zizzis is top notch, hands down the best Italian franchise in Dublin. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. We had to ask twice for our drinks and the chefs were binging their bell 3-4 times before a server would come and pick up the food. There were other customers sitting looking at the waiters to take their order for 25+ mins, waiting for drinks to arrive, getting visibly irritated. When we finished our main meal we sat with dirty plates in front of us for a good 20 mins before we asked the server for the dessert menu. Only when he brought the menus did he think to clear the table. One of the servers was too busy flirting with the chef to bother taking orders or running food to tables. At one point he threw food at her, supposedly in a joking way, and it hit her in the face. She was clearly irritated by his behavior and was not entertaining the attention he was giving her. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and that is the only reason we would ever come back, but the service was that poor that it almost negates how great the food is.

31/03/2025: Mi prometido y yo fuimos a zizis liffey Valley es mi restaurante favorito siempre estoy aquí para algo de comida, el personal es siempre increíble y trabajando tan rápido como puedan, BARTENDER ERA ABSOLUTAMENTE INCREÍBLE LA RECOMENDARÍA PARA BEBIDAS! En ese lado nota tomó alrededor de 15 minutos para encontrar una mesa, ya que había una cola enorme detrás de nosotros y solo reservamos como dos personas como usted sabe, ya que nos sentamos que tomó exactamente 40 minutos para un sever para venir a nosotros, pero eso era tan comprensible con lo loco ocupado que estaba el restaurante. El gerente coco creo que su nombre era No estoy seguro de cómo administrar el restaurante, ya que vi que todo el personal estaba estresado y parecía que estaban a punto de llorar por la cantidad de estrés que se llevaron, ya que parecía que el gerente estaba causando más trabajo para el personal más joven, cuando finalmente conseguimos nuestra comida fue fabuloso y no estaba frío, pero mientras yo y mi prometido estábamos comiendo alimentos, escuché al gerente entregado a un miembro del personal que acaba de entrar, ya que estaba tratando de ayudar al personal y ver lo que estaba pasando, pero todo lo que el gerente hizo a esa chica encantadora fue gritar menospreciándola y hablar con ella, parecía que estaba a punto de llorar, pero juego limpio para el camarero tratando de hacer las bebidas y dárselas a los clientes tan rápido como lo hizo, mientras que también ayudó a las camareras a limpiar las mesas lo suficientemente rápido. Me di cuenta de que una joven que trabaja en la cocina también salió a ayudar al personal porque no estaban recibiendo ninguna ayuda del gerente de cabello oscuro. He tenido una situación tan incómoda visto que el personal fue tratado de esa manera y tratando de hacer todo, incluso que se les decía todo cuando tienen mucho entre manos. Toda la camarera hizo lo mejor que pudo con su servicio al cliente Estoy seguro de que estará recibiendo malas críticas en el Día de la Madre, pero como lo que he visto parece ser una cosa habitual que sucede en este restaurante se puede ver el estrés en los empleados jóvenes enfrentan que no son respetados o el reconocimiento que merecen, mi hija menor trabaja en la hospitalidad y nunca nunca se ha faltado al respeto la forma en que este personal es tratado como he dicho que hemos estado aquí antes He tenido un buen servicio por el supervisor joven y el personal de la casa delantera y nunca hemos tenido una experiencia tan mala aquí antes Es horrendo lo mal tratado que el personal está aquí haciendo lo más difícil que puede cuando ha estado bajo tanto estrés

06/04/2025: Food was absolutely disgusting and over priced. The beef in my house special fried was like shoe leather and the pawns were none existence. The Satay sause was also disgusting and it was very expensive. Can I please recommend people to not order the food from this place.

24/12/2024: Haven't been here in ages and it's gonna stay that way after this The spicebag was horrendous soggy chips chicken was pathetic tasted like cheap dirt and there was hardly any spice , rice was dry I asked for sweet and sour sauce and double checked as I ordered but was given curry sauce which tasted like pure muck 15 quid down the drain This place was just pathetic 1/10 stay away from this kip

01/03/2025: This restaurant says it's covered even though it's closed, I don't understand at all. Why did we go around in circles, it's not nice.

28/11/2024: Incredibile how a portion of chips is now 4.50eur. they never give you a receipt and they also chip out on the size of a single chips portion. I was literally able to count the chips in the bag.

26/04/2025: Have ordered food from here on Deliveroo twice and twice they didn’t put the veggie patty on the sandwiches. Nobody is just ordering a bread with just lettuce and sauce. Seriously.

16/04/2025: If I could give zero star I will, I went there at few minutes to 8 and the staff was a bit rude, told me they were closed so I apologized and left. When I got out I realized they were still open and went back in. When I got in, I saw her attending to another guy who wasn't there when I went it. She told me they were closed again and I told her they were meant to be close at half 8. She delayed me for minutes and I left there for McDonald's whose staffs are clearly nt rude and are open for longer than half 8.

17/11/2024: Very dissatisfied and disappointed as they always take the need to have a break like it’s an ice cream parlour why do you need breaks ?

12/10/2024: Very disappointed. I come to this area quite often & found this particular truck which I would have been a regular at HAD I NOT BEEN OVERCHARGED!! I ordered 4 small ice creams which were advertised for €3.50 each - which totals to €14 but the lady had the audacity to charge me €18.30.. I’ve seen some reviews about them doing this to other people, raging I didn’t look at the reviews beforehand as had my hands full & was in a hurry to get the family ice creams before heading to our destination. Won’t be coming here again anyway. You overcharged me €4.30 & lost out on a potentially regular customer which would have been worth more than €4.30!!

19/04/2025: The pictures for the food feels misleading. The pictures look scrumptious but the food I must say sadly disappointed me. I asked for no mayo on my burger and it was made with so much mayo. The amount of sauce on my burger was enough to completely soak the bottom bun. It soaked it so much that it melted into a yeasty slime. Very unappetising. My chips were fine, a tad soggy but fine. My biggest concern is with the drink. When the order arrived the drink had spilled all over the bag? I would argue on why are cans or bottles not given with deliveries because it was a shame to have a lot of my drink spilled all over the bag. The chicken was nice quality but overall this place needs some work!

15/03/2025: Yes we are open, reads the sign as we walk in at 12:15pm and wait to be seated, only to be told, We are closed, no servers, come back in 15 minutes. We arrived back at 12:30, to the same bright neon sign only to find a locked door and no answer, with two annoyed hungry kids wanting lunch.

12/04/2025: I haven't had oche in a long time so I decided to go order, when i went in I noticed the menu was totally different and they didn't have the deals the used to do. I ordered what I would normally get and the food is totally different and not anywhere the standard oche used to be, reading the other reviews it has changed ownership so disappointed.

24/03/2025: One of the nicest Chinese takeaway I’ve visited twice in a week. Very friendly staff, delicious food with great portion and variety. Cannot recommend enough😉

05/04/2025: Ordered off uber eats. My partner Igot severe food poisoning from here. Live in the area so I’ve been here so many times. Tried calling the store number linked to this location but no answer. Please avoid at all costs

22/03/2025: Went in to order a bargain bucket two ladies were ahead of me at the till and i was next. When it was my turn she left the till and began to do other things and totally ignored me! Noone helped me for a while then when a guy named lakshan came he didnt approach me like i was a customer i asked why isnt anyone serving me he said i thought you where a driver. I was extremely offended by that. I then asked if thats why i wasnt assisted and he said yes. The worst welcome ever

15/12/2024: Asked for a simple cheese and ham toasty and was told that they can’t make stuff from scratch has to b off counter and my gf got one of rolls of the bar and couldn’t eat it as tasted like it was made a week ago. Terrible service, terrible food and overpriced 🤬🤬

15/12/2024: WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! The coffee was mediocre at best, and the Aloha sandwich tasted like it was made quite a few days ago. Atmosphere was so bad, and it had to be the quietest cafe in the whole of Dundrum. When asked if things can be removed from sandwiches, it was a blatant no as the only options are what’s in the counter pre made, nothing fresh! Overpriced for inedible food!

10/04/2025: Absolute shocking service. 2hrs waiting for food. Extremely rude on the phone. Driver rang accusing me of wrong address. Agreesive on arrival. Told me I got it all wrong. Showed him app with correct address and he backed down. What a terrible place.

20/11/2024: Food is fine enough but had to pay extra fees to order a collection?? Got charged a bag fee when I didn’t even get one and then I got charged an order fee for just ordering a collection - not a delivery

09/11/2024: Just ordered two 3 in 1s one with satay sauce one with sweet and sour sauce had to pay an extra 1€ each for sauce change, the trays came half empty and barely any sauce and they forgot my prawn crackers. Waste of money

22/04/2025: Starting with issues, I think cleanliness needs a review, there was receipts and papers lying across the cutting board as well as in the the food. More positively, the worker was very friendly and extremely efficient. Very hard worker. Food was nice too

19/04/2025: For a Subway it fully does the job. You can eat healthy and for cheap. And more inclusive Subway as it also provides Halal meat. I highly recommend the turkey breast melted cheese combo !
