The best restaurants in Dublin

15/03/2025: The staff were lovely, no faulting them there. I had a 3 item breakfast, eggs, pudding, and a hash town. As well as a cup of drip coffee. All of the food and drink were as bland as I've had in a long time. Just felt and tasted of very low quality. So in short, very poor food and coffee, but staff were very nice. Someone needs to step it up in terms of quality

05/02/2025: If I could give no stars I would food is really bad and cold service is nonexistent the staff walk around like zombies and a horrible atmosphere

17/07/2025: Showed up well within your posted hours, only to find staff refusing to service customers. If your hours of operation aren't reliable (or your staff are simply lying), it's misleading for customers. Update your hours online (or don't lie) to reflect reality—it saves people time and frustration.

13/07/2025: It's pizza.... Who doesn't love pizza. Hadn't had dominos in years. Once on awhile it is deserved . 🫡 It needs tables tho

31/07/2025: Pedí lo que pensé que era una opción saludable... bagel wITh hongos, tomates, queso mozzarella y espinacas , wITin pedirle que le pusiera mayonesa en el bagel a ambos lados del bagel... No quería mayonesa... . es necesario que indique qué opciones saludables están disponibles y no debería haberse puesto mayonesa sin preguntar... lo arruinó y tuve que esperar tanto tiempo solo lo tomé pero no volveré a ir allí...

21/06/2025: Literally the worst "cafe" in the country. Everything is microwaved, nothing is fresh. The garbage food is also overpriced. The staff are rude and unhelpful, they seem to enjoy being unpleasant. The staff are incompetent and can't make decent cappuccino, always boiling hot. They are extremely lucky with the location, located in a gym, because they'd have closed years ago anywhere else.

10/06/2025: You pay the same no matter whether you order a combo or not. Depends on who is working that day. Sanjana's the best there!

23/05/2025: Very slow and almost a comedy show when making the sandwiches, like watching slapstick.

07/09/2025: Dont order off their website!! We ordered for delivery, and an hour later went to check if it had been sent out, only to be told that their website often glitches and dumps the order, now we've no food en route an hour later, and have to wait 48hours for a refund. They couldn"t even take our order over the phone to rectify it although they freely admitted that it was their tech that caused the problem! (And frequently does so but only solution is to order again) I havent ordered in a while but the food certainly used to be good, although reading recent reviews fills me with doubt on that still being the case! Sort out the website lads!!

19/07/2025: Visited Wingman in Clontarf recently and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The burgers were just ok didn’t resemble the photos they post on Instagram. Looked and tasted pretty average, like something you’d throw together at home in a hurry. The loaded truffle fries were completely inedible. Soggy, oddly textured, and absolutely drowned in an overpowering artificial truffle flavor. Couldn’t even finish them. We also tried the chicken wings, which were dry, overcooked, and barely had any sauce on them. For a place called “Wingman”, I expected way better especially when wings are supposed to be a highlight. That said, the staff were friendly and welcoming no complaints there. For the €57 we spent between two people, we expected something far more enjoyable. Overall, it felt overpriced for the quality we got. Safe to say we won’t be rushing back.

29/08/2025: Food arrived after an hour and the delivery driver was looking for €3 to hand it over even though the receipt on the bag and on my phone showed the delivery charge had been paid. The food that arrived was cold but the curry part of the curry was missing! The cold rice and chicken balls went into the bin. Called up and they had no interest in making it right, offered to sort me out “next time” but there won’t ever be a next time.

26/05/2025: Delivered order over an hour late, wrong items in order so rang to explain, they said they would send new items, they then rang 10 minutes later asking to explain again what was wrong, we did, they said they would send replacement item, they never did. Just stole money essentially! Avoid!!

03/05/2025: Fresh Food and Friendly Faces but Let Down by the Plates I visited O’Briens Café in Jervis Shopping Centre with my son early on a Saturday morning. It was one of the very few places open and serving food at 10.30am, which was a real bonus when everything else was still closed. The convenience alone makes it worth considering if you are in the area early. The sandwiches were genuinely tasty. The bread was fresh and clearly good quality, and the ingredients felt well chosen and nicely balanced. What really stood out though was the staff. The two team members on duty were warm, welcoming, and seemed genuinely happy to serve us. That kind of positive attitude makes a big difference and gave the place a bright, upbeat feel from the moment we arrived. However, there was one detail that did take away from the overall experience. The sandwiches were served on basic plastic plates, which felt out of place given the price. It gave the meal a slightly disposable, rushed feel that didn't match the quality of the food or the care put into service. I understand it is part of a food hall setting, but a switch to proper crockery would go a long way in elevating the overall experience and better justifying the cost. In the end, O’Briens offered a quick and satisfying bite with genuinely fresh ingredients and excellent service. A small change in presentation could easily turn a good visit into a great one.

05/07/2025: Horrible food. Literally no taste whatsoever. I have eaten at other Abra locations and this is thr worst of all. Shawarma was HORRIBLE. Cold bread, lettuce was so biggggg and then the chicken had no taste. Never eating from here again!!!!!! Literally had to throw the sharwama in the bin.

29/06/2025: Our family absolutely loves this place for their doner kebabs, one of the best in Dublin! The staff is pretty accurate and you get exactly what you've ordered. Food is always fresh and tasty. We'll definitely come again, and not just once))

06/07/2025: If you ask for more than two times, they start behaving badly and insulting. The chef (the tall guy) starts screaming from behind to the buffet attendant don't give more, give less and many other things to insult you so won't come here next time. Food taste is 4/5 good but rest 0/10

21/06/2025: Food was mostly luke warm if not cold. Fried rice was hard and and noodles were cold. Crispy chicken was quite nice. No drink included with the 3 portion price of 14.50 which I think is quite stingy considering you don't get to put the food on the plate yourself. Staff are quiet and stand offish. Overall it was a terrible experience, I got food poisoning and felt quiet unwell afterwards. I do not recommend this to anyone. Prepare yourself if you do.

16/07/2025: Absolutely loved this place when it opened gor food the other night sealed it up in a linchbox to have for lunch next day opened it and there was fly eggs all over the food. And the food wasnt left out it was in an airtight container. Made me sick will never order from here again its cheap food for a reason

28/08/2025: Avoid like the plague Coke is fake, flat before you finish your food 🤢... Beef in my curry tasted off, chicken was like chicken I'd never seen before (🤔💭🐈) now every time I see a dog my back arches .... 😅... Anyway I binned it and ordered 🍕

23/05/2025: I will not give it no stars on review but it does not give me that choice, so I have to give it a one not my decision .because now I like a Chinese .but tried this for the first time it was disgusting and left an awful poisoning taste hard to explain like I was at eating perfume with my curry. That’s what it taste like straight to the bin. 🤮 I should have known from the dirt of the front of the shop when you go into order and wait for your curry not even a napkin left. When I asked she said we have no napkins the dirt, the floors, the seats the walls disgusting

16/08/2025: I got severe food poisoning from this place. Ate nothing else the whole day. First time in my life eating subway and already decided I will never return.

15/08/2025: The opening time shows 8am. Tried 2 days in the same week. They're not even bothered to adhere to the timings. Tried to go in at 9 - nothing is prepared. Tried to go in at 10 - Meats weren't ready. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't take 2 full hours to get the shop ready after the opening time that's mentioned.

24/07/2025: Man working 24th of July at 7pm was one of the sweetest servers I have ever encountered. He was calm when busy, attentive to all customers and a pleasure to be around. He was also very clean, thoroughly inspecting his surroundings to ensure the place was clean. He definitely deserves recognition as it’s hard to come by - we were there for less than 5 minutes and he made our day

18/06/2025: Honestly the wait it a joke. Consistency is severely lacking with rotating staff and not enough people on. Took 25 mins and being the second person in the qué to be served at lunch and only one person on who clearly wasn't working there long. I felt for them as they are being let down

19/06/2025: I had a deeply disappointing experience at this Subway location. Staff were treated unfairly and spoken to in a disrespectful manner. In particular, I witnessed employees being verbally mistreated and racially stereotyped, including offensive comments towards Indian staff. Additionally, I observed unsanitary food handling, including reusing bread that had already been served to other customers. These practices raise serious concerns about both workplace ethics and food safety standards. I hope Subway headquarters seriously reviews the conduct of this franchise and protects both customers and employees.
