The best restaurants in Dublin

11/03/2026: We were recommended to Kennedy's by Mr. Murphy of Sweny's. He said it was the best Irish coffee around. He might be right. Otherwise it's a darn good one in a laid back pub with excellent ambiance and service.

03/02/2026: I love tacos here but they are very expensive, The tacos are authentic Mexican flavor, I have been trying different restaurants and this one is my top 1 only for birria tacos, I wish they could serve more soup, they only give a little bit of it and the price is very high. Staff is a bit rude, tables are very close and space is too small

25/01/2026: Picasso in Clontarf is a fantastic choice for a group dinner! The ambiance is lovely, making it a really comfortable and enjoyable spot for a larger gathering. The food is always top-notch, with a great variety that I'm sure will please everyone in your group. It’s definitely a place that makes a group booking feel special.

22/12/2025: We are big fans of Garys in Dalkey - so happy to report the same delicious pizzas, super staff (as always Gary Balage Sonny ) and a fun night all round. Yummy GF pizza as well the same as Dalkey which is why we go there best GF pizza there is ! Ruth Dave and of course Joe

12/12/2025: This could be a lovely local spot however unfortunately its atmosphere seems to be ruined by the staff. Our first visit, we were treated rudely by the manager throughout the night which we tried to dismiss. More recently, not only were we berated again, she was also vocally treating her workers awfully in front of the whole restraunt. Both were disturbing experiences - do not recommend

16/03/2026: I loved the story telling and the host gave recommendations about wider Dublin, tying us into the history of whiskey. Really elevated our trip. The premium is worth the extra whiskey and souvenir.

07/10/2025: The food is tasty and exactly what you would expect when you come in here. The staff was super friendly and service is quick, you don’t have to wait long even if it is busy. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a cozy breakfast place.

07/01/2026: I just popped into this café before work. It was my first time trying coffee there, but it was very high quality, a flat white, without the cappuccino foam ahahah. The coffee was delicious, and the interior was very, very beautiful. I walked in and could not resist taking photos, it was insanely beautiful! Will be back :))

27/02/2026: Had high hopes based on the reviews but unfortunately the food didn’t in any way live up to that standard - across a range of starters or mains. All were fine, but unremarkable. Service was ok, but disengaged, the staff only came to us at ordering and delivering food, there was zero follow-up otherwise, and no enquiries if we would like more drinks / desserts etc. so we just asked for the bill and left.

23/02/2026: I visited Thai Spice with my mum on a last-minute booking and had a lovely experience. The restaurant had a really calm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious and full of flavour, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

01/02/2026: This pub has been our go to pub for over 10 years..love the great atmosphere. The staff are so lovely. And the new guy playing the guitar this evening is amazing ! Well done The Black Wolfe 🥰

14/09/2025: Service was appalling, was trying to order a drink was asked to move certain area so I did. Then proceeded to get ignored by the bar staff who asked me to move in so I asked why, again because I was “not in the que” even though there was no designated Que here sign. Didn’t get name but very distinct staff member, Round glasses and mullet working upstairs by the smoking area absolutely awful service. All could have been avoided by better communication.

02/11/2025: Unpleasant experience last night at La Gordita for my birthday. We arrived on time and were seated at the bar. The staff were chatting with the two couples next to us, explaining the menu and taking their drinks orders. By the time our waiter came over, their food was already arriving. No one explained the menu to us, and the waiter seemed a bit sniffy when we ordered a cheap bottle of wine. The food itself was average. The crab salad was a highlight, but the garlic in the prawns was burnt and the Spanish omelette wasn’t a proper tortilla it was just a flat omelette topped with slices of potato and chorizo. Generally boring flavours and small portions. Staff checked in with the tables around us as they got their food - but not with us. After finishing the tapas we’d ordered, we were still hungry. When the waiter asked if we’d had enough and we said no, he just handed us the dessert menu and said “great.” We ended up leaving after about an hour - no dessert - and felt like just getting our coats back was asking too much. Not sure if it was because we looked young or like tourists, but the service felt frosty and unwelcoming. The host did check in once and the lady who took over the bill was nice, but overall the experience was disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend this place for a special occasion. I’d be really annoyed if I’d booked it expecting a treat based on the Michelin guide. We spent €140 on five tapas dishes, were largely ignored and left hungry. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.
