10/03/2025: Rebecca and Ewe (Ewelina sp? Sorry!) were amazing bartenders and we learned a lot about Guinness!

01/03/2025: Went to the Guinness storeroom and was neither here nor there on the experience so decided to come to the open gate brewery. BEST DECISION we made, staff are so warm and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We had the pleasure of being introduced to the world of brewing by Anna who's knowledge was unsurpassed and she took us on a journey of the brewing process and spoke passionately about the drinks we had and what we should consider trying next. A highlight of not only the day but our whole time in Dublin

10/04/2025: Great service and amazing food! Had a great afternoon food and wine. The host is extremely welcoming and knows well how to look after his customers! Highly recommended. Definitely will be back again...and again...and again!

02/04/2025: What a gem this place is! From the minute you walk in the door you'll be greeted by the incredibly warm and friendly staff. It's like you walked into a little part of Italy. The food and atmosphere are second to none and you'll be delighted with this little oasis that Monkstown has to offer! I look forward to my next visit already. Thank You Thats Amore.

25/03/2025: This is a very nice Irish Cafe. Space is pretty limited, I'm not sure if you can make reservations. The wait is definitely worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed our pastries and coffee.

02/04/2025: The worst place I have ever been. Not recommended. Very dirty and the middle age man who is working there is very unprofessional. He was very rude to the staff and he was yelling at them. So disappointed with this place. If I could I would give it to 0 star

02/04/2025: An excellent restaurant for a quick refreshment. We came here for a speedy lunch after our flight, and it did not disappoint. The pizza, risotto, and Caesar salad were great, and the prices are affordable.

21/03/2025: I had been curious about Bailey's Cheesecake in the showcase since the day before...I'm so glad I got to try it! It's not too sweet, and it's especially delicious when eaten with the whipped cream that comes with it. I was able to enjoy the taste of Ireland. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is relaxing, making it the perfect place to take a break between sightseeing in Dublin.

10/03/2025: Had awesome drinks there yesterday and lovely chicken wings and chips. But unfortunately again same person who keeps following since school and too Insomnia Coffee Shop Ballsbridge Dublin4 was there yesterday again as usual.

16/04/2025: The dinner was good and the food was delicious. The portions of pasta are small if you plan to take only the main course. The staff is friendly. But there was an unpleasant situation with the tip and the total bill. The tip is calculated automatically and included in the bill, despite the customer's consent. This was not mentioned anywhere. So there is no option to choose the amount. So we had an unwelcome surprise at the end. We were forced to pay (15% of the check for three people). When I asked why we had to pay, the manager said that the policy had been changed and that it was necessary to pay extra for 3 or more people, although it used to apply to groups of more than 8. It looked like we were being played for fools. This is not the first time this has happened. We’ve been here to celebrate birthday. Then our cake was taken to another table without even informing us. When we refused to pay a tip because of this situation, we argued for a very long time. This situation made me remember why I stopped going to this restaurant. I personally have a lot of experience in the service industry and hospitality , so I know what I'm talking about and that's why I'm writing about it. I have nothing against good work and gratitude for it. It's just that things like mandatory tipping (which is not common in Dublin restaurants) should be stated up front and not come as an unpleasant surprise, especially at small tables that don't require additional resources to clean. I am very disappointed, this kind of situation makes me not want to come back.

15/04/2025: Erica & Dennis ( yes ….Dennis the Italian) were just so friendly , helpful and provided great service. The food is fantastic and this place is highly recommended. Worth popping into toners for a pint too
