15/07/2026: We had a terrific steak dinner here. We enjoyed Tomahawk Tuesday! The cocktails were great and the wine selection was very good. Service was also very good even though we were seated in the upstairs portion of the restaurant and we were the only customers there until almost the end of our meal.

12/07/2026: Outstanding food. So why are staff so disinterested? We were served by someone who gave us the menu and immediately disappeared without a welcome or an explanation of the dishes (the dishes had local names and we didn't know what they meant). I raised this and the person responded quite abruptly and we felt so rushed that we ordered starters to give us more time to decide on mains. We were told "I'll give you 2 minutes, but it can't be longer". Two minutes later they returned and when we still weren't ready they said "1 minute". At that point I asked if we were on a time limit, which in retrospect was probably a bit sarcastic but what do they expect? The waiting person was then replaced by other people. They were a bit nicer, but the personal touch (interest in customers) expected from this quality of restaurant is missing.

09/07/2026: I went there with my girlfriend three times while we were in Dublin. We really enjoyed the ambiance, hot chocolate, food, good service and friendly staff.

28/06/2026: Great atmosphere, very enjoyable coffee and dessert options with fast service even when relatively busy, although unfortunately the food seems to be served in prepackaged portions, while certainly forgivable given industry conditions it seems prone to being served very near the end of its shelf life even when stale and very nearly inedible. (see photo, taken hours from expiry) Particularly the Caesar salad containing what can be only assumed to be donkey 🫏 elbow (possibly crouton?) Also worth mentioning were the various critters (spiders 🕷️ and ladybug 🐞 see photos) running laps around my brownie. This was very entertaining but the spider and his compatriot were incessant and very bothersome. Although it is uplifting to see such rich biodiversity within the city centre. Altogether still would absolutely definitely recommend to any café enjoyer. Perhaps just for the drinks selection.

21/07/2026: Pulled pork eggs benedict and chai latte to die for😍 Had a sip of my friend's vanilla matcha which was lovely too. Great environment and all the staff are very friendly, will hopefully be returning.

29/07/2026: Kimchi Fried Rice It is delicious and the portion is just right—full enough to fill up an adult male (90kg). It is also great that you can enjoy beer at the pub in the evening. I come here to enjoy a meal whenever I miss Korean food. The owner is friendly, and all the staff are Korean. I highly recommend it~👍👍

28/06/2026: Food was good, service was better. Enjoyed taking a break from pub food and enjoying the tastes of Italy. People say the prices are high, but everything is high in Dublin.

12/07/2026: Electric oven pizza, nothing too special but also okish, average. We came at 09 pm after a running race nearby and since they close 09:30, got at least takeaway (but had to watch it since a burglar was around!!🕊️😃)… the girl at thr door was super nice, fast and professional (which was a completely different experience we had at their other location one day later)

13/07/2026: I am very disappointed with my experience at Zaika Restaurant. This was my first order from them, and I spent approximately €35. When my order was delivered, I discovered that one of the items was missing from the bag. I immediately contacted the restaurant to report the issue. Sadly, the response I received was extremely disappointing. The staff member acknowledged that an item was missing but said, “I DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR MISSING ITEM; YOU CAN RAISE THE COMPLAINT with Deliveroo.” I found this response unprofessional, discourteous, ignorant, and completely lacking in customer care. While I understand that delivery platforms can sometimes be involved in resolving order issues, customers should still be treated with RESPECT and offered assistance rather than dismissed. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Zaika Restaurant. Good customer service is just as important as good food, and unfortunately, my first experience fell well below reasonable expectations.

02/08/2026: Daniel was a great server. It was great to meet him and get to know the cellar better, his knowledge of the food and wine was incredible and really helped us out! I am definitely coming back for more!

28/07/2026: Very friendly and quick service – a glance was all it took! The restaurant is small, so reservations are absolutely necessary (well in advance). Now for the food: the vitello tonnato was simply perfect, as were the meatballs. The daily pasta dish was simply perfect. You can tell how much finesse goes into the dishes (the restaurant is popular for a reason). The pasta dishes with shrimp and ragu were also good, but didn't quite reach the level of the daily special. There's a large selection of wines, although we missed having a few non-alcoholic options. The focaccia and sourdough bread were unfortunately only average, and I would have liked the ladyfingers in the tiramisu to have been soaked in a stronger espresso and some pistachios sprinkled over the top. That would have perfected the tiramisu, as the cream had the perfect sweetness. Overall, the restaurant is definitely recommended.

26/07/2026: Tried to come here - they told us 20 minutes for an inside table. We sat outside and again said to our waiter we just want to confirm inside in 20 minutes. He said he would confirm. It then started raining so we went inside and asked again about a table in 20 minutes. They said that was and never would have been possible and got defensive/made excuses that they had never said that. I’m 7 months pregnant and we would not have sat outside and wasted time had we known that was the case. We would have gone somewhere else. We understand you can’t always get in as a walk in but clarity would have helped here so we could have gone somewhere else before things closed.

31/07/2026: Delicious and authentic food! My favorite is the Tofu Donburi. Can get quite busy sometimes so it’s better to book a table in advance when dining in.

31/07/2026: Small but super cozy spot for Japanese food with really friendly staff! I’ve been here multiple times now and it never disappoints. I especially love their sushi rolls and hot ramen. Plus, I really appreciate that they bring you free tap water!
