The best restaurants in Dublin

14/05/2026: Fabulous spot. Beautiful grounds. Lovely outdoor tub and sauna. Meal was dissapointing and overpriced.

10/05/2026: Fabulous place to stay, so relaxing. Food and Service all great and staff all very friendly, especially the mature lady (short hair) with glasses at the breakfast. Only downside, the noise at night in the room when there was someone moving around in the room upstairs. Stayed in the Mayors House.

18/05/2026: Stopped in here for a quick snack after having a few pints!! The original lamb is amazing! I'm sure all the others are too!! You won't be disappointed!

28/04/2026: Insanely horrible condition of bathroom and dining area. Homeless persons??? inside begging for food all the time i was eating and employees did nothing about that. Also staff didnt even speak proper english which should be a bare minimum in a country like Ireland. As a tourist i wouldnt recommend at all. This literally made me see dublin as even more filthy place.

23/04/2026: Forgot 2, 1L drinks and a Large garlic sauce delivery driver barely spoke English, nachos are burnt to a crisp, portion sizes for wedges is laughable feeds maybe a 4 yr old and when I called to ask about my drinks he told me he can give me a coupon as his only option, said no I want my drinks and garlic sauce and he said ok one sec and put me on hold and then came back and said yes they’ll send them but they’ll be long because the delivery driver has to go back to the shop and grab them and come back mind you he’s on a bike and the dominos is far from our hotel absolute disgrace such an excuse for a dominos

06/05/2026: What can I say about Delahunt,i would give it 6 stars if I could,from the minute I walked in the service was 10/10,great staff,great setting,the food was so fresh and it was really the best food I’ve had in Dublin hands down,I will be back again soon !!! I couldn’t recommend it highly enough,if you’re heading to town this weekend book Delahunt you will not be let down !!! Thanks for a great night

02/01/2026: Absolutely terrible experience – avoid. The Mad Egg in Liffey Valley was one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had. To start with, the place was absolutely freezing. There’s no proper front door, just thin curtains separating the inside from the outside — in this weather that’s completely unacceptable and made the whole place uncomfortable before we even ate. The food itself was a huge concern. It came out far too quickly, to the point where it raised serious red flags. I’ve worked in the food industry for years across bars, hotels, and restaurants, and I have never seen food prepared and served that fast unless it was pre-cooked and reheated. It didn’t feel freshly made at all. Within hours of eating here, both myself and my girlfriend became extremely sick, and we’ve been unwell for the past 24 hours. I have never been this sick from food before. This wasn’t a coincidence — it was very clearly food-related. I’ve eaten Mad Egg a couple of times in different locations around Dublin city centre in the past and never had an issue, but this location has completely put me off the brand. Between the freezing conditions, the questionable food preparation, and getting sick afterwards, we will never eat at Mad Egg again.

26/04/2026: Delicious dinner and wonderfull drinks. We wanted something special, so we asked the bartender if he could make something sweet for us. He made us a special drink called Genn's Special. It tasted amazing! 10/10 would recommend! Amazing service and amazing foods/drinks!

15/04/2026: Two stars for the environment ,zero for the food- had pasta and it was literally a ....tasteless soup!!!! If you don't know how to cook it( didn't expect Italian ,of course ,but not such a disaster) ,don't bother.Ruined massively my whole last evening in Dublin.

12/05/2026: Absolutely 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I brought my husband here, who is extremely hard to please when it comes to restaurants especially Indian food & I was hoping to finally convince him to become my official Indian food date going forward 😂 Safe to say, this place delivered! The service was excellent from start to finish, the presentation was beautiful, & the food was honestly incredible. Every dish was packed with flavour, perfectly spiced, & the meat was unbelievably soft and tender. You can really tell care goes into every plate. Even my very fussy husband was impressed, which says it all! We’ll definitely be back.Absolutely 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

06/05/2026: I got panang curry which didn't appear to be made with very much if any coconut milk or cream plus had a very odd disagreeable flavor. The white rice was good though! Peanut sauce was also disappointingly bland. I found myself looking around for a salt shaker. The waitress was friendly. Restaurant cute but would have been nice to hear some legit Thai music instead of the maudlin electronic background slop they were playing.

04/05/2026: FX Buckley was recommended to us for their amazing steaks. We visited on a Sunday (bank holiday weekend). The food was great - ordered Chateaubriand for two; however the venue was extremely noisy we were sat inbetween two very loud tables. It is essentially a gastro pub where people come for drinks too and so it can be unpleasant - we had to shout to hear each other. Service is pretty average, we got one of our drinks wrong, were asked once if the food is okay and no offer for dessert et c. If I can offer 4.5 out of 5 for the food; the service and ambiance is a let down at 1.5-2 out of 5.

22/12/2025: We went here twice and the food is really tasty and the service is very friendly. Homemade wraps are so tasty. Will definitely go again and would easily recommend.

15/11/2025: i don’t think i’ve ever paid so much for a cup of tea. €4.40 for a teabag is absolutely crazy. next time i won’t blindly order anything without checking the price beforehand! at least the tea was good 🫠 this review is not a reflection of the service or atmosphere, only a psa so customers are not shocked at the prices!
