The best restaurants in Dublin

09/12/2025: It's well-maintained, but if you've been to the one in London, this one will seem like a toy. If you're in the city and have some time, it's fine. It has free cloakrooms.

08/12/2025: Impressive gallery, with paintings from various periods, not by the most famous painters, but by notable ones. Exception: a limited exhibition of works by Picasso (which will not last long).

06/11/2025: Amazing café with great atmosphere! I absolutely love this place! The coffee is always fresh and delicious, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing — perfect for studying, meeting friends, or just enjoying a quiet moment. They also have a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches, all made with great quality. You can really tell they care about what they do. Definitely one of the best cafés in Dublin — highly recommended!

01/12/2025: Relatively small place, but wonderful tour experience, and nice atmosphere. The shots of wisley were great, too. We had one at the beginning of the tour, and 3 samples (half shots) at the end, all inclided in the tour price.

25/11/2025: Dined here Sunday past, we had a lovely time. The food, atmosphere and service was great. All the staff are super nice, Jodie (If I remember correctly) was serving us and she was really friendly and warm. Will be back for sure!

04/11/2025: Had the roast beef sandwich. Seriously good. Very friendly staff. Lived 10 minutes away and never ate here. Great place for lunch, highly recommend

29/10/2025: Did a pub tour around dalkey with friends at the weekend- we all voted the club as our favourite. Warm, friendly staff and lovely Guinness.

19/12/2025: After 1 hour and 45 minutes since sitting down, we had to leave without the main courses showing up. The restaurant wasn't busy, only 7 guests in total in the dining room including our booking of 3 with my friend visiting from Australia... Not a single apology or word from the management despite being polite and asking about the food "only" an hour + after we've ordered it. Only one member of staff present and not always as I couldn't even order drinks while I was waiting for the food which is ridiculous. Maybe locals get a better deal, or a better service at the pub downstairs, who knows... I've been working in hospitality for over 20 years, this was my worst, and most unwelcoming, experience ever by far.

15/12/2025: I stopped by this shop by chance, and the empanadas were still good. I got the Guinness and lamb one. Unfortunately, it was a little bland, but the alfajores, those macaron-shaped pastries, were delicious.

03/12/2025: Ah lads, what are ye doing? Nowhere near as nice as ye used to be. Too much pastry and not enough filling. Filling definitely not as tasty as used to be. Maybe it was end of the night, but used to love here, and would buy extra for work pals. Not sure if I’d do it again. Sorry 😞

18/10/2025: ​I was a walk-in and I found a table that a party who had a reservation hadn't arrived for yet, i waited for about1 hour until i found this table. After 30 minutes late, they arrived and made us leave. In my opinion, if you have a booking at a crowded place and you don't arrive on time, you should lose your spot. Simply, this place is a nightmare.

18/10/2025: Loved finding this place and escaping the high-trafficked tourist spots. Great pizza, great drinks, incredible atmosphere, and I playlist I want to duplicate at home. Service was incredible. 6 stars. 😍

26/10/2025: Well done to Cris on building such a great business! I contacted him on relatively short notice hoping to get a showstopper of a cake for a big birthday and he completely delivered. The mirror glaze on the cakes looks stunning. I was worried that the cake might look better than it tastes but I can vouch that the blueberry/vanilla tastes delicious. The flavours were brilliantly balanced and it was nice and light too. I look forward to an excuse to come back and try another. Fair play to him for being so responsive on WhatsApp too.

11/10/2025: Amazing cake, I got the Blueberry & vanilla cake, delicious and divine had this cake for my siblings birthday, they were satisfied, (I know on the photo it looks a bit smudged but that was me) amazing 10/10, would recommend 100% and would definitely order again ❤️

11/12/2025: A tiny fish and seafood restaurant. The service was very friendly and charming. We were lucky enough to get in, as it was a quiet Wednesday. The fish and chips were excellent, perfectly battered and not greasy at all. The calamari and mussels are highly recommended. We also tried the oysters for €3, which were delicious. Without a doubt, an authentic place with reasonable prices and excellent quality.

15/11/2025: €130 for a platter I thought they made a mistake, to which the manager said “it used to be €95, but that wasn’t profitable, so it’s €130 now. That’s €13 per person and feeds 10” Very disappointing

05/11/2025: I visited Chequer Lane by Jamie Oliver in Dublin for dinner, and the food was superb and amongst the best that I had during my time in the city. While there wasn't a dedicated gluten-free menu provided, my server talked me through the options and all the staff members had great knowledge of what I could and couldn't eat, I opted for the steak, which was served with a fresh garlic butter, the steak was delicious, had so much flavour and was cooked perfectly, and didn't even need any extra sauce, the fries again were so good, they were fresh, tasty and all the flavours had delivered. My only disappointment was in my cocktail - it was overloaded with ice and was almost like a slush. The other members of my party were also pleased with their food. The vibes inside the restaurant were really nice too - it felt premium yet with a modern twist so it didn't feel pretentious and you wouldn't feel out of place coming in after spending the day sightseeing around Dublin, it was that perfect combination. I'd return to Dublin alone for that steak!
