The best restaurants in Dublin

11/09/2025: Should have known what was coming when the menu was printed on a tattered plain A4 sheet of paper with no sleeve. I tried to order food at the bar and the not busy barman told me I had to do that with the lounge server and went back to his phone. Very disappointing chicken burger from bun through chicken fillet and trimmings. The slice of cheese inside was the size of a sweet wrapper, less than half of the bun. My friend ordered the goujons and got just three of them with a basket of chips for an obscene €15. The pints were poorly poured too, very inconsistent with too large heads. Perhaps got them on a bad evening but won’t be back.

30/07/2025: A three-star hotel that deserves its four stars, right in the heart of Dublin, just a 20-minute bus ride from the airport. Clean, quiet, and soundproofed rooms. Friendly staff. Excellent on-site restaurant.

29/07/2025: This hotel has a very good location and is ideal for visiting by car, thanks to its private parking. The rooms are comfortable and quite spacious. The common areas are quite nice, and the staff is attentive and professional. The location is particularly noteworthy, as you can reach most of the major tourist attractions on foot.

06/10/2025: We had such a fantastic experience at The Brookwood in Dublin. From the very start, they made us feel special by delivering two glasses of Prosecco on arrival, just as we had requested. We had pre-ordered the roast beef and it did not disappoint perfectly cooked and full of flavour. At first, we were a little surprised to see mash alongside a Sunday roast, but it turned out to be a real highlight, and we even asked for their secret!The desserts were absolutely outstanding, the caramel tart and the chocolate bar were both to die for.What really set Brookwood apart though was the staff. They were the friendliest and most attentive we’ve come across on our travels around Dublin, with just the right balance of professionalism and good chat.A truly memorable Sunday dining experience, we’ll definitely be back

22/09/2025: Has gone downhill. Used to be fresh good coffee, now even with caramel syrup it tastes burnt and bitter.

14/10/2025: Stayed here for one night, our room was clean and had a comfortable bed. The girl on reception was very polite and friendly she checked us in and out, very knowledgeable of the area. Room was warm and great powerful shower for a second floor room. The location was quite tricking to find google maps didn’t take us directly there. Stayed here to get the ferry the next day was a 30 min drive so was convenient for us. There’s a great under ground car park that leads directly in to the hotel. Overall a great stay and would return if in the area.

11/10/2025: Very good hotel, welcoming staff, very nice room, good bedding (for us), very good breakfast too. The location is right next to the tram, which is great for getting around, but it's also a bit noisy (the tram sounds loudly as it passes). As for parking, it's free. You have to enter the parking lot, get a ticket, and ask the hotel reception for a pass to get back out for free. On Google Maps, you have to select "Euro Car Parks - Tallaght Cross East," otherwise you won't be taken to the right place.

13/09/2025: It was a very nostalgic trip for me as its 43 years since I had a bag of chips here. The quality was still top class, make with dedication and no fuss. Thank you Lads..

29/09/2025: Nice pub, really nice pint & friendly staff, however the food is certainly not great, in fact from the pizza to the New York burger & the duck packages they were all on the side of Luke warm , they have a nice open kitchen , & it’s a nice place to go for a pint or watch a match, pity the food doesn’t match the rest.

26/08/2025: Food is bland and without effort, the cost to quality gap has widened here. We have been going for over 15 years, and in recent years the millstone has unfortunately fallen into the tourist trap of providing low quality food at high prices and turning around tables in 40 minutes. There are much better restaurants within 1 minute of the milestone which provide high quality standard of food, even the food basics fall short, focus on quality is needed.

25/08/2025: The restaurant looks small but it could accommodate a number of guests. The food is absolutely amazing. The menu is not overwhelming. The price is very affordable for the quality, taste, experience, the portion. It’s a gem! Would definitely go back again.

26/10/2025: The location is unbeatable. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is very nice and elegant. The rooms are large and the dining area is very comfortable. Except they put us in a room that overlooked a real alley.

22/10/2025: Just wants to say a word about Joe! He is the perfect example what is the Irish Welcome! We went to the pub to eat but they couldnt offer the food we wanted so we said good bye and left. He came out to the street after us and reserved a table in a nice restaurant in a phone Call. He walked us over the place. We had a nice chat with him. Never experienced anything like this before! We had a great dinner, best Burger in that pub! Thank you Joe! We will be back for a drink!

28/10/2025: It’s the best place for boba in the area and the atmosphere is very welcoming and pretty. I very much recommend you go here with your friends and the fruit teas are really good as well with adorable cups.
