The best restaurants in Dublin

11/01/2026: I had a great experience at Angelina’s Restaurant in Dublin. I ordered the chicken sandwich, which was delicious — well seasoned, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The bread was soft and complemented the filling really well. For dessert, I had the cheesecake, and it was absolutely amazing: creamy, rich, and not overly sweet. The service truly made the experience even better. Haryel and Teresa were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, making us feel very welcome from start to finish. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it!

08/01/2026: Angelina’s had a bit of a mixed vibe for us. It was quite dark inside and not very quiet, and we ended up seated almost right in the middle, which made it feel a little busy. That said, the food was really good, and it definitely made up for the atmosphere. If you’re there mainly for the food, it’s well worth it.

18/10/2025: I like the strawberry and chocolate ice cream because it isn't too sweet or artificial. The ice cream at Bel Gelato is better than the majority of the gelaterias in Italy.

23/09/2025: Bel Gelato in Dalkey is, without a doubt, the best ice cream in Ireland — truly Italian-style and full of authentic flavor. My personal favorites are the pistachio, which is rich and nutty, and the salted caramel, which instantly reminds me of the *dulce de leche* I grew up loving in Uruguay. The service is always warm and welcoming, whether from the friendly staff or the owner himself, and the place is usually busy — a clear sign of its excellent quality. One of the best parts is making the cycle from Dublin down to Dalkey along the dedicated bike lanes and rewarding yourself at the end with an amazing gelato. It’s the perfect combination of exercise, scenery, and indulgence. Highly recommended!

25/01/2026: Falafel – Blanchardstown Tried the chicken kebab, kunefe, and ayran. The food was fine overall, but the kebab was a bit too messy with the sauce. Staff were okay, and the place is decent, though worth noting it’s cash only.

10/01/2026: Good: The staff is great. The check-in desk were able to check me in early (which was great after a overnight flight) and the breakfast staff had my order memorized by day 2 or 3. Service at the restaurant could have been a bit more attentive, but that's open to the public so I get it. The rooms are CLEAN. I'm pretty OCD about a clean room, and I was very happy to see how clean the room was. During my entire stay, there was only one spot that I could critic could have been cleaner (literally just a small spot by the shower door). The closest was well equipped. Basically all hotels have an iron, but the iron in the room was basically new, there was a robe, slippers, and even an umbrella (which is a nice touch in Ireland lol). Con: This is specific to Diamond members, but the main reason I am loyal to Hilton is because of the benefits of Diamond status and I was very disappointed with what Diamond got me at the Morrison. Not that I was expecting a suite, but all Diamond really got me was a higher floor, but the view out of the window was of a alley or something. Contrast to my stay at another Hilton, they greeted me with a drink of choice and a fresh cookie, plus I got 2 daily drink vouchers to the bar, and a upgrade to the best view they had (not a suite, but a view of the local Castle). In hindsight, I should have just stayed at a cheaper hotel vs hoping I actually get something out of my status. So if you're a diamond member don't expect significant benefit from the Morrison.

06/01/2026: A very nice hotel opposite the popular Temple Bar district, overlooking the Millennium Bridge. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, and friendly staff.

24/11/2025: First time we have stayed at this hotel and as first impressions go , outstanding from check in , to the rooms to the bar staff everything was outstanding, rooms of a lovely size, bed super comfortable, tea coffee making , a safe in the room, the barman sami was super friendly and chatty, which is want you what, reception friendly and welcoming, we will have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.

17/01/2026: So, ordered 3 x burgers and 3 x chips. Placed the order and immediately realised ordered handcut instead of shoestring chips. Called Bunsen Dame St. to amend but was told they can't, only Deliveroo can. So, did a chat with Deliveroo straightaway and they contacted the restaurant to amend but was told it's already in the system so can't change. So, who was being inflexible? Didn't make sense to me. One of the burgers was well done so the fries would not have even gone into the fryer yet. Anyway, Deliveroo asked me if I wanted to cancel the Order and I said leave it. Order arrives, and no hand cut chips. Called Bunsen again and was told had to call Deliveroo for a refund. At this point we lost it. The fault of the missing chips was Bunsen's but we, as paying customers, had to go through the whole hassle of calling Deliveroo to get a refund? A simple error, easily rectifiable but thanks to a serious lack of basic customer service, turned into a very unpleasant experience. I might as well add at this point that the chips arrived cold. Good burgers don't make up for terrible customer service.

15/01/2026: The burger is amazing! It's worth every euro you pay... But the fries, the service, the space...on a Monday night, 40€ for two people is not worth it!! :-(

03/01/2026: So. After a day carrying bags for an (almost!) 17 year old, I had the good fortune to find myself staring at the menu outside Pacino’s door. Saying that I was hungry was an understatement. The bags I was laden with were beginning to look edible. Dublin on a Saturday, at 5 pm, I tried more out of hope than anything by asking the nice girl inside the door was there any chance of a table?!?!… and I truly don’t know what class of an angel was looking down at that moment (…possibly the one that looks after lost causes???) but she said YES!!! The place looked stunning, all still decked out in twinkly Christmas lights, and the menus are delightful, with something for everyone. We had a mix of starters, mains and pizzas, and one common theme throughout them all- they were all as equally exceptional as each other. The “Arancini Al Funghi” is to die for… delectably delightful balls of mushroom risotto, with a crispy coating and an arrabiata sauce- it s perfection. The pizzas are just how Nonna likes them… light and airy with just the right amount of topping, and the flavours from those toppings jump out. I had the Salami & Gorgonzola with oodles of smooth blue loveliness all over it. Pacino’s is definitely my new favourite Dublin eatery, the staff are friendly and helpful, and it just feels “right” if you know what I mean? The only downside is that I need to find an excuse to get back over again soon!!! Treat yourself, I know if Al is ever in town, he’ll stop by… 😉 17/10 for pizzaness… 😇

08/12/2025: Stopped by Gino’s Gelato and tried the Gino’s special waffle with pistachio ice cream. It’s absolutely delicious! The waffle was warm, fresh, and perfectly balanced with nutella, bananas and strawberries. Yum! 😋 It was the perfect treat for a cold winter evening. Cozy, comforting, and totally worth it. Highly recommend giving it a try!
