The best restaurants in Dublin

08/06/2026: The food was very good and the service was very good! It would be even better if they hired me too! 😂❤️❤️

08/06/2026: Pretty disappointed with this place. It was half empty but we waited a long time for our small order for 4 people. The sushi itself was mostly tasteless and a bit dry. They forgot my wife’s side dish and when we reminded them, after we were well finished the mains, it still didn’t arrive for another 20 minutes (a side salad!) so we got up and asked to have it to go. The juices were nice but arrived warm, room temperature. I had to add ice to make them more drinkable. Also, when ordering using the online menu with the table QR code they auto add the tip, perhaps because they suspect you won’t add it yourself. Pretty cheeky for a table under 6 people. Finally, one of the two men’s toilets was busted and wouldn’t flush (see picture). All in all, not recommended.

20/07/2026: I had the bacon sausage roll, it was very nice. My wife had the mushroom and pearl barely roll and she said it was amazing. Just be aware of the pigeons looking for crumbs on the benches outside 😄

26/07/2026: After a few drinks in the noisy but cozy bar with live music, we went to the restaurant upstairs. There was live music there too. Very nice and atmospheric, but much too loud. Too loud to understand each other during the meal. The waiter was understanding and turned down the volume and showed us to a spot in the smoking area, where it was indeed wonderfully quiet, but of course not a good solution. In the end, we stayed and had a pretty good meal.

22/07/2026: Had lunch and drinks and it was excellent, will certainly return and look forward to it. A special mention for Fiona who looked after us very well and was great craic, she added to our experience and is a great host!! We'll be back!

24/07/2026: Atmosphere is great, on-street parking nearby for those driving in, service is really nice. Their menu is seasonal so it'll likely be different from what you see on Google but the selection is great. I wasn't super impressed with my striploin, I think the cut was poor quality, but it was nice enough and the rest of my table loved their food (seafood/pasta/pizza). Drinks are nice but virgin/zero options are very limited, still tasty. Prices aren't astronomical but it's not cheap. Music is also quite loud but we were sitting inside so might be a chiller vibe if you're outside. If you're short you might not love sitting at the booths inside, the tables are pretty high. Still had a great time!

06/07/2026: Oh dear. What a failure of an experience. Perhaps it was timing, I arrived as service was just starting. But actually that's no excuse for the failures in this case. I was excited to try one of the cocktails - as the menu looked inventive and interesting. I ordered the oyster shell martini. What a total disapointment! The person who made the cocktail clearly had absolutely no idea how to make it. The small coupe arrived with zero garnish (supossed to be a lemon twist). Ok no problem if the cocktail was good. But it was utterly undrinkable - pure vermooth with zero 'oyster' or any other flavor. Why put cocktails on your menu if your bar tender has no idea how to make them? Fast forward to oysters. There are three varieties on the menu. I asked what were the differences to help me make a selection. The waiter asked another staff member, who asked another. I could hear the shouted back explanation. One is creamy, one crispy and another is sea like. Which is which? Unclear. When you say crispy is it fried? No fresh. Ok I'll just take my chances none the wiser. The oysters did arrive lovely fresh and was not disappointed with them. I ordered the steak medallions. They arrived on the plate. Alone. Three pieces. Not a hint of garnish or anything at all just to make the plate look appetizing. Nothing - just one small ramekin of the cafe de Paris butter- which had split. The creamy mashed potatoes had to be the saddest mashed potatoes I've ever tasted. They literally tasted one step up from packet smash, with a complete lack of butter and seasoning. Save your time and money for a restaurant that actually knows their menu, their drinks options and their food, and actually cares about all the above.

20/06/2026: First time I’ve been disappointed at FXBs, normally so good. Ordered steak med rare and the steak came out well cooked from the outside of the steak and was only med rare at bone. Steak was tough and crumbly it was so well done at the edges. The prices have really taken a jump here now that this is priced as a high end steak restaurant.

12/07/2026: Update: one of the best places around the area! if you have bad reviews is because "KARENS" ARE EVERYWHERE! I went for many events and the place was super busy, now I'm back and still very busy but 🤩 iasmin!!!!!🌷🪻🌷 Bunnie Again! and the whole team were incredibly organized, and a special big thanks to the security team. Very professional. I'll definitely be back to try the food ina quiet day and Lagunitas of course!

10/07/2026: Had a few drinks here before the Metallica gigs, great atmosphere and they let you bring food in (as they don't serve food on match days or concert days). Only a short walk to the entrance of the Aviva then!

07/07/2026: I visited this bar today with a friend. The place is beautiful, very nice for a Monday, and I really liked the atmosphere. The interior is lovely, and the candles on the tables create a nice ambiance. Unfortunately, the service and the quality of the drinks did not match the setting. We ordered two Aperol Spritz and I watched the bartender prepare them. She used what appeared to be the last of an old bottle of Prosecco that had lost its bubbles, and the cocktail ended up tasting like water ( like summer fruit) with almost no Aperol flavor. When I politely mentioned that the drink didn’t taste right, instead of trying to resolve the issue, the bartender became defensive and insisted that this was how measurement an Aperol Spritz should be I simply asked if she could add a little more Aperol because the drink had almost no flavor, but her attitude made the situation even more disappointing. I wasn’t asking for a free drink—I was simply expecting the cocktail I paid for to be prepared properly and for my concern to be handled professionally. My recommendation would be to provide better training for the bar staff, not only in preparing classic cocktails but also in customer service. A good attitude and willingness to help customers make a big difference. It’s a shame because the venue is genuinely beautiful, but this experience would make me think twice before returning.

21/07/2026: No complaints about anything here. We came for dinner on a Monday night, and it was not super crowded. As it got later it did start getting busier. We did ask if one pizza was enough to split between two people & they said no. I think we would have been happy with just one (unless there's a rule against splitting the pizza then I guess that doesn't matter). I ordered the lasagne and it was delicious. My friend ordered the bianco and was very pleased. We both had espresso martinis, which were also delicious.

10/07/2026: I have been her a lot of times over the years. It’s an excellent Italian restaurant with really fresh and tasty food. Lots of seafood and meat options, aa well as vegetarian. The place has an attentive and friendly staff. Have gotten dine in, take away to my home or into the pub next door and it’s always wonderful.
