The best restaurants in Dublin

06/10/2024: After reading the book about 3fe from the founder, came to visit the coffee shop and experience it in person. Unfortunately, too many things made it an unpleasant experience. Specifically: - All staff petted a dog of some customers, and nobody thought it's a good idea to wash their hands afterwards, before serving clients. Shouldn't you lose your license for this? - The only option of vegetarian milk is oat milk. For a place that has such long history in the coffee making, this is a big miss. - The staff was far from friendly or interested in the customers. They cared more about talking amoungh them and I literally had to call them up to get service. - They said the orange juice is freshly squeezed. 100% NOT the case! - You literally ask for tips everywhere, in the menu, on the table and at the till. Why is this necesarry?

30/09/2024: Cubano - 4.5 stars Excellent sandwich. The pork didn't have too strong a flavour. Chorizo hash - 3.5 stars Good romesco sauce. The skin on the chorizo was thick and tough though. Brazil - Sitio Vidigal: Natural, Catuai - 3.5 stars Sweet apple, dark chocolate, nougat. Tried this in the set with an espresso and a macchiatk. Standard chocolatey taste, slightly bitter. My husband thinks he got green apple notes but I didn't get anything. Not a fan of coffee from Brazil typically and this wasn't an exception. It was better in an americano after it had cooled down.

27/10/2024: Great dinner! I thought it was good. I sometimes like it when there are a few touches of originality and here it’s rather traditional but it’s well cooked. The atmosphere is nice, the music is discreet so we can hear each other talking. I want to try the cocktails next time. The only downside was the politeness of the gentleman who welcomed us. The website advertises a dinner menu of 2 or 3 courses available, there is only the tasting menu, we point it out and it is very unpleasant. So we start with the tasting menu but one of the guests doesn't like lamb (at the same time a lot of people don't like lamb...) and doesn't eat fish. We can tell that this is making him drunk. If you do a tasting menu you have to have a little flexibility just in case. In the end he delegated the service to his colleagues and the person who did not eat fish was still served with a fish dish. We're at +100€ per person, it's a shame to have this service...

21/10/2024: Amazing restaurant for a very special occasion. The prices for the 8 course menu are high, but the food, experience and service were excellent. Also the wine advice was great, especially the matching French red wine for the Lamb meat. I would definitely consider visiting again when in Dublin.

12/10/2024: Went there recently on a Saturday afternoon wasn't busy so one would expect good service very poor, I ordered a pint of guinness and a Americano coffee the girl serving didn't know what that was omg. I then ordered a toasted ham and cheese with chips special it was anything but except for the price 13 euro, the bar reasturant scene really need to look at providing better service and value.

11/10/2024: Came out from the toilets to the bartender trying to fish a fly out of my pint of Guinness with his finger. At least use a teaspoon.

16/11/2024: Small but very nice restaurant. Only got one soup of the day, but it was very tasty. Good prices.

14/11/2024: We had a very good dinner. The meat is very good. And acceptable quality-price.

08/11/2024: Small environment with little ventilation, however, nothing compared to the taste of Brazilian food that makes you feel at home! Wonderful parmigiana fillet, beans, rice, potatoes, onion fillet and everything else we have in Brazil! I loved meeting you!

17/08/2024: Food is average. Actually it is very expensive when you think about taste. The restaurant itself is very nice. The service, now there are 2 lads there they think they are funny, but not. Wrap, chips and coke €17. The wrap was 12 or 13. For better experience and less money you can go to boojoom blanch or falafel in coolmine.

25/10/2024: I got the pork bao buns, they were so amazing. John and his staff were so accommodating to us and the atmosphere within the building was unmatched - you can tell they enjoy working there! Will definitely be back

16/11/2024: 100% frozen, processed food was served. Absolute disappointment. We tried chicken burger and the house Step burger. Coffee (flat white) was a big portion of tasteless water and milk. Staff is really nice, kids friendly. The place looks good, new and clean, has a good atmosphere.

13/11/2024: Cozy, warm pub, comfortable spot with great pints of stout, and good service. Down to a two, as last time Guinness waa great, but barman couldn't pull the pint properly, which is a mortal sin. Not rested enough, flat acriss the top.

27/10/2024: I was very disappointed with our meal, chicken tikka. It was like a can of tomato soup over chicken pieces. Over priced too I will not be back to this expensive establishment.

24/06/2024: The experience was fantastic; people are really friendly there. The service was excellent. The customers are mostly locals. The atmosphere was great. I enjoy visiting this Irish bar.

02/11/2024: Went there for the food shown in other reviews during lunch time. They don't serve the big traditional dishes anymore and switched to just a sandwich menu. We were a little disappointed because that was just explained after we asked them a second time.

10/11/2024: we came here on a saturday evening and loved the drinks- delicious. However I did feel we were very rushed. Despite having booked a two hour slot from 9:30pm, at 10:20 we were told they were taking last drink orders. We were then given the bill around 10:35 and were then told they needed the table back at 10:50. We had to explain to them that the booking showed a two hour slot ending at 11:30, which the waitress had to go and check (odd since it seems like all the bookings in the evening are two hours) and she then said we could stay. although we had 40 minutes left in the booking, we were never offered another drink. I think overall the service was lovely and we were given great recommendations from the server but we didn’t feel we could fully relax since we kept getting interrupted with signs they wanted us to leave.

03/11/2024: A charming bar in Shankill with fantastic service! Our host, Eithne, took excellent care of us during our visit. The entire staff was incredibly attentive, and the food was simply delicious.
