The best restaurants in Dublin

31/03/2025: Expectations were high, but unfortunately, this restaurant is yet another tourist trap that has little Italian authenticity beyond its name and part of the staff. We ordered pasta, but the quality was highly questionable. The dishes had nothing truly Italian about them, from the choice of ingredients to the flavor combinations. I’m not sure if it was just a coincidence, but that evening, we were the only Italians there—unlike many other higher-quality restaurants in Dublin, which are also frequented by Italians. This place seems more like a trap for tourists and locals. The only positive note was the cocktails and the atmosphere, but not enough to justify the cost. If you're looking for a real Italian experience, look elsewhere.

29/03/2025: ⸻ I had high expectations for Osteria Lucio, but unfortunately, the pasta was a big letdown. It’s far from authentic Italian, lacking flavor, and nowhere near what you’d expect from a place that claims to bring real Italian cuisine to Dublin. Given that they’re listed in the Michelin Guide, I find it quite questionable. On top of that, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. It genuinely felt like they turned off the heating to encourage us to leave, as we were among the last four tables there. Not exactly the warm and welcoming atmosphere you’d hope for. That being said, the cocktails were well-made and enjoyable, so if you’re just stopping by for drinks, it might be worth a visit. But if you’re looking for real Italian food and a comfortable dining experience, there are far better options in Dublin.

27/03/2025: Went with my niece. Staying at Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. I am home from Vancouver on holiday. Appetizer was fine. My nieces dish seemed OK. I ordered Red Duck, it seems that the cook had used the remains of a duck, like a carcass to make this dish. I could not eat it as the meat/ duck was fatty with grizzly bad tasting meat. I asked the waitress to look into this. She did not. On leaving, I spoke with the Owner. None of this meal was either replaced or refunded. I paid full price for a meal that was inedible. Would never eat here again. Very poor, disappointing experience

01/03/2025: Coincidentally just parked in front of Lilliput, didn't know what the place was so went in. I was quite intrigued to see different types of fresh and organic produce and a variety of interesting products. Had a Vietnamese iced coffee and hor chocolate, both excellent. The place has a lovely vibe, and I will certainly visit again.

28/03/2025: Disappointing experience here. The tables were cramped, everyone forced to sit closely to each other in the small front area of the restaurant, while a large area of the restaurant with ample seating was "closed off" for unknown reasons. My starter was burned and my main was very bland, even though I asked for it to be made spicy. The staff were standoffish and appeared very rushed. Would not recommend.

25/03/2025: Great selection of dishes. All full of flavour! Quick and friendly service. Really recommend this spot!

16/04/2025: Great sweets and savory foods, but the service is upsetting, the staff are always grumpy and have no respect for the customer. I gave up buying there just because of the service.

15/04/2025: It's expensive—the products are pricey and the taste doesn't always justify it. The environment is nice, clean, and the service is friendly. We ordered the "xis" on a plate and the regular "xis." They were good (although the bacon was very hard) and nicely presented, but nothing that justifies the high price. On the other hand, the pastry sold at the counter was old; the dough was hard.

13/04/2025: The atmosphere is very cozy, the service is friendly and attentive. The amazing avocado toast! I needed to eat well and this was a grateful brunch to continue walking. The coffee is great, good flavor and they have vegetable milk.

24/02/2025: Nice Hotel with central Location, you can reach everything by foot or Public Transportation. The Rooms were clean but the water pressure in the shower is a bit too low. Overall we had a good stay and can't complain about anything.

26/03/2025: Beautiful hotel close to the city center delicious food and bar very nice service especially Anna the bar tender who makes wonderful cocktails and has a very positive approach to customers. Will definitely be back and will recommend

17/03/2025: This place was such a good surprise. We don't live far and will definitely be coming back often. I had the soup and sambo combo, husband and friend had a fry and eggs benedict and it was delicious!!! The sandwich was so delicious that I'm still thinking about it! The staff is very very friendly and the atmosphere was so lovely. Bright, beautifully decorated and overall very calming. The coffee was delicious!! I had a cappuccino and my husband a flat white.
