The Wall Climbing Gym
Dublin
19/06/2025: awesome gym, lovely folks. shame they're shutting down in december
04/06/2025: Super friendly staff, fun climbs, great community. The €30 for 30 days is a great deal too.
I'm not crazy about the grading system not being connected to any internationally recognised grates but that's such a minor thing. All in all, highly recommend.

Bell Pesto Café
Dublin
08/09/2025: An Italian restaurant run by Italians, offering excellent food, wine, and desserts. The restaurant is pleasant, though it doesn't fully capture the charm of Italian places.
06/09/2025: Everything was great from the food to the staff

Charlotte Quay
Dublin
26/08/2025: Beautiful place, delicious food, and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
26/08/2025: A wonderful restaurant experience and the food is out of this world.
Would HIGHLY recommend the chorizo croquettes for starters and the seabream for mains. The croquettes are huge and you get 3 of them. Golden and crispy on the outside with a smooth potato mix in the inside. The chorizo cubes added in gave it a wonderful texture and flavour and with a plentiful serving of cheese shavings on top and a bed of salad this starter is perfectly balanced.
The seabream comes served in a deep dish. It had a really crispy skin too, which I absolutely loved. Served on top of new potatoes and fresh pak choi it's such a light, but filling, dish. Underneath the veg is a buttery/lemon sauce and plenty of caviar (fish roe), which adds a lovely pop of saltiness to the dish, it's truly a delight to experience such flavours.
I was too full to have dessert but the table next to us did and they looked amazing.
The staff were absolutely fantastic. So attentive, friendly and seem genuinely happy in their jobs.
I cannot WAIT to return

O'Connells
Dublin
22/07/2025: A warm little place with a great atmosphere. We stopped without wanting to and it was a great surprise to eat something delicious here and have a cold drink by the river in front. Lots of sun and a nice place.
22/07/2025: We had a GREAT time here. We met our tour guide, Conor, for a “pint” after our trip to Cliffs of Moher. We ate, drank, laughed. The bartender and waiter were equally as much fun and very attentive. I think we just made new friends!

The Vintage Room
Dublin
31/07/2025: Called in for lunch, absolutely beautiful roast dinner. The roast potatoes were unreal. Great value and great service. Gorgeous room
23/07/2025: I was told jobstown house was good for food. So I visited to savour the dishes available. Rather unusual entrance from car park like entering a cow shed. Then you open door to what looks like a extension of bar. Lady on duty unpleasant just asked you looking for food. Atmosphere poor . The food was average nothing to entice you back.
