The best restaurants in Dublin

17/08/2025: Fantastic function room and staff! Mark and Eddy are so sound and professional! I went in a few months ago to book the function room upstairs for my party and they explained the whole process and details regarding prices, food, decorations and DJ. Everyone is very welcoming and accommodating; absolute stars. All the staff, particularly barman Ben are so helpful, calm and kind. Love the wood and design of the space, very beautiful and comfortable whether you want to sit and relax or dance the night away. The playlists they have are solid, and they have disco lights they can put on by request. Food platters are delicious, note that platter is split among several plates (handy for a big party tbh!). The upstairs space is split into two areas connected by archways, and was used for two separate parties our night which we didn't even notice honestly. I never had such a big party before and it was a massive hit! Thanks to the team at Scholars for making it a such a seamless and fun experience. Don't hesitate and book your function at Scholars ASAP. Big fan if you cant tell. I will be back for more parties🤣👏

15/09/2025: We hosted a hen party here on Saturday for 21 ladies, and it could not have gone better! The team were incredibly accommodating – they allowed us to set up our own decorations and food, and were so helpful with everything from start to finish. We had corkage on some bottles of prosecco for a welcome drink, and the staff went above and beyond making sure everyone’s glasses were always topped up, even when we moved up to the top deck. As we essentially ran an open bar with drink tokens for guests, it was great to see how respectful and honest the staff were – they made everything so easy for us and didn’t take advantage in any way. Another lovely touch was being able to connect our phones via Bluetooth for music, which meant we could play our own playlist on deck and set the perfect atmosphere. The whole experience was honestly the highlight of the day, and all of our guests had an absolute ball. Thank you so much to everyone at the Dublin Canal Boat Restaurant for helping us create such a memorable start to our hen celebrations!

04/09/2025: Lovely place to have some lunch in Dublin city centre. Beautiful, historic building with a gorgeous inside roof and beautiful decor. It gets busy in there and booking is advised. Great and buzzing atmosphere, lovely service staff and a extensive drinks menu. Food was very good and tasty, you can opt for smaller dishes like soups, or main dishes, fish and meat dishes. Also a nice dessert menu. Medium price range. You can even see an exact duplicate of the Books of Kells here. Enjoy

05/07/2025: I’m absolutely obsessed with this café — the food, the charm, the whole vibe! They’ve such an intriguing and creative menu, with loads of healthy options (the Black Forest overnight oats are divine 😍) and some seriously tempting baked treats too. The staff are always lovely, and even though it’s a smallish spot, they’ve managed to include a little play area to keep toddlers entertained. It’s dog-friendly as well, which adds to the relaxed, welcoming, family atmosphere. The bathroom is always fresh and spotless — honestly, a gem of a café! 💫

07/09/2025: Good place for a quick lunch, double deal has so much food it could easily feed 3 people. I expected a bit better pizza, it is tasty but does not compare to pizza I ate in Italy or another italian restaurants.

06/09/2025: I came here with my friend to order. My friend ordered a €10 pizza deal first and paid immediately with the card machine the chinese server provided. After that, I ordered a €10 pizza deal (takeaway) and a €17 pasta deal. When I paid, I was charged €37 instead of €27. We only realized after sitting down that we had been overcharged by €10. When I went back to the counter to explain, the server looked confused even though the whole thing had happened less than 7 minutes earlier. She said the refund could only be done through the card machine and that I would have to wait until the next day, instead of simply giving me back €10 in cash. What disappointed me most was not the mistake itself, but the attitude. From start to finish, there was not a single “sorry” for the inconvenience. Mistakes happen, but good service is about how you handle them. By the way that rude chinese server named BETTY.

11/08/2025: Great family-run gastropub, an excellent choice for a local bite to eat. Exceptional service, friendly happy atmosphere among customers and diverse yummy menu. I had the fish special of Ray-Wing, a really unique and delicious option!

09/08/2025: A great local Restaurant and Bar with some excellent space for celebrations of any kind. Very helpful staff and Management.

18/08/2025: Pleins d’espoir pour ce restaurant bien noté nous avons rapidement compris que nous aurions mieux fait de retourner au Dunne and Crescenzi. Accueil amateur avec vérification de réservation sur un PC bancal sur une pile de livres. Service peu amène, donne toujours l’impression d’être débordé… portion ridicule sur les raviolis, assiettes mal présentées, bruschetta niveau supermarché. Une mauvaise expérience !

08/06/2025: Bobby e Yvonne, todo comenzó hace 10 años... y desde el momento en que mostraron tanta bienvenida, apoyo y amabilidad a Allan y su cohorte que habían alquilado al lado para coordinar la campaña del sur de Dublín para el referéndum sobre el matrimonio sexual entre personas del mismo sexo, y les dieron la bienvenida a todos cuando su oficina fue despedida con la electricidad apagada... hemos confiado en nuestro arreglo semanal del sábado con el Equipo en Two Beans para conmemorar nuestra semana con una cerveza de calidad y bienvenida que no puede y no ha sido igualada en Dublín en los últimos 10 años. Admiramos su obsesión por la calidad y los altos estándares que usted bot y su equipo defienden para cada café, cada día, cada semana y cada mes y gracias por esa diligencia. ¡Nosotros y sus clientes somos los benefactores de ese compromiso! 27/03/2025: Vine por dos cafés para llevar. Personal súper amable que es increíblemente apasionado y conocedor de cafés, aparatos de café y preparación... así que antes de probar mi café sabía que iba a estar perfectamente elaborado. Que, en los días de pagar casi 5 € por un café, debería ser! Nos sirvieron dos blancos planos de avena perfectos. Tantos lugares equivocan este orden o promedio y el suyo era perfecto. Esperamos volver para probar sus diferentes mezclas y probar la comida que también se veía muy bien! Gracias chicos.

07/09/2025: Small indoor capacity, they'd benefit from a larger singular space inside where they can also put their shop and more seating. People tend to walk past when inside is closed as their outside seating is very affected by gusts of wind as no windscreen provided
