The best restaurants in Dublin

04/09/2026: Told we need to order from the breakfast menu, not the menu on the flip board. Then they were out of most breakfast items. Bins had no lids. Harsh lighting. Doesn't deserve the high rating IMO.

14/05/2026: OMG!! The best bed... had the most relaxing shower also (the soap smells sooo IRISH SPRING like!!) What a a fancy spot. we left before breakfast, but we heard great things! Nestled in a quaint community. a 12 minute walk to shops, ice cream, a supermarket and the cutest flower shop ever! definitely recommend staying here when in Dublin!

14/05/2026: Was at a function there. Food that came during function was surprisingly poor. Chicken skewers with a grape stuck on the end of i which were bereft of colour/sauce, sausages with no colour & grain mustard & wings which were meh. Update: 2nd event attended, beef was chewy and almost inedible. Apart from that, the place is a gem

13/09/2026: Had the most amazing night at my friends engagement party with my Brazilian husband. I could not believe towards the end of the night a bouncer approached our table and stated that the Brazilian waiter who had hugged my husband earlier had made a complaint that he was molested. He had been entrailed that my husband was Brazilian and had initiated the hug. I am utterly disgusted this happened. Our friends where a witness to the contact and assured there was no impropriety. My husband was so upset that the staff had informed the engagement party also, so we left. I understand staff have a need to support one another but this was uncalled for, lies and unacceptable. I will never darken their door again and am mortified my friends were put through this on their engagement night.

01/08/2026: The scallop was too salty and in general seems a bit pricey for the portions and food you get. That said, it is a relatively more authentic Japanese restaurant than other places I’ve been in Dublin. Cost effectiveness: 3 / 5 Hoping to return: 3 / 5

08/09/2026: We ran into Da Mimmo in a very random occasion when we were driving back home one night and there was nearly nothing opened for food. This place, which is a small but very cozy restaurant, has given us an amazing surprise: possibly one of the best meals we have ever had. The food is absolutely incredible, with no words to describe it. The service is equally great, everybody is so kind and polite and there is no long waiting for your food to be served. Da Mimmo has become our favorite restaurant since - and that has been over years. It really is like you are having food from a remote little village in Italy. I could not recommend this place enough to anyone. Every single experience we had there has been amazing, and we are doing well trying to go through all items in the menu. In our last visit, I tried the fish ravioli, made with cod and smoked salmon. I have to say that I was a bit unease when I ordered because I did not know what to expect, but as always, it was even more brilliant than the last dish I had there. A big thank you to the owners and staff of Da Mimmo. It’s always a pleasure to have dinner with you.

22/08/2026: An amazing Pub with a crisp vibe and great staff, same reflected in their Pints and food . Had Guinness , Fried Scampi and Battered Cod . All three things were grand . The servers were so polite and responsive , checking in everything couple of minutes . Will be returning back soon .

20/08/2026: Very cosy friendly pub with a good quality food menu, a bit limited but what they do, they do really well and the ambiance and cosieness make up on top of that. The food is of a very high standard with particular attention to presentation, selection and quality. On a recent visit I had baked cod and chips with salad of rocket, tomato, onion, cucumber, peppers, lemon, tartar sauce and deep fried scampi thrown in for good measure. I've had this meal several times, fantastic value best in the general area at €16.50 as shown. The bar manager and staff particularly attentive and helpful and efficient. Frequently quiet and relaxing, expect it to be maybe busy Friday afternoon / evening with customers coming home from work.

15/09/2026: Was rushed out of the place even though we said we would have a few drinks first before ordering food. Found the waiter or manager a bit aggressive also. Really turned me off going back

12/09/2026: The lunch menu was delicious!! The carvery roast beef and gravy was amazing. Great value and amazing service. It got very busy around 1pm but it's a large venue.

04/10/2026: I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, as I had heard some great things about it. The interior is beautiful, and there’s a lovely atmosphere, so the setting certainly made a great first impression. Unfortunately, I found the food disappointing, particularly given the prices. I had the ribs to start, and they were really poor. They were very small, with little to no meat on them, yet were priced quite highly. For that kind of money, I expected a much better-quality dish. My main course of prawns was okay, but nothing particularly special or memorable. The service, although very nice, was quite confused. I had to ask for a knife and fork twice, and I also had to ask for our water to be topped up, which I found strange. After the ribs, I asked for a warm bowl of water to clean my fingers, but instead I was given these tiny little wipes. It just added to the feeling that the overall experience wasn’t quite at the level I expected. Overall, I think the restaurant really needs to up its game when it comes to the food and service, especially at the prices they charge. There are other gourmet restaurants in Dublin that offer a much higher standard of food for a similar price. For comparison, I would rate Ananda (Gourmet Indian Restaurant in Dundrum Shopping Centre) significantly higher in terms of quality and overall dining experience. A beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere, but unfortunately the food and service didn’t live up to expectations on this occasion.

21/09/2026: I went there cause is near my accommodation i bought some breads and sweets, the staff was chatting near the window glass where have the big breads, they continued chatting i said sorry sorry they pretended im not there , maybe cause im immigrant and im look like no money, at least i touch in her shoulder and one of then serve me. She only smiled me when my card appeared sucess paying. They need to understand even you not have nice clothes you cant buy, i just come in a any shop in Dublin if i can pay. I hope the maneger see my avaliation.

23/09/2026: Food is very good although many dishes which should be mild are just a little bit too spicy for my personal taste. Still recommended.

31/08/2026: We ordered food for a birthday party with 20+ guests, availed mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Each dish was delicious! The takeaway service delivered food and also organized everything wonderfully, providing facilities to heat up the food, which made the experience even better.

20/08/2026: I recently visited Camilo Thai Food, and I was really impressed with the experience. The restaurant has a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, with tables available where you can sit down, relax, and properly enjoy your food instead of just grabbing something to go. The staff were also one of the highlights of my visit. Everyone was very friendly, attentive, and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s always nice to visit a place where the staff genuinely make you feel welcome. As for the food, the Spicy Bag was definitely the star of the show for me. 🌶️🔥 It was full of flavour, well-seasoned, and had just the right level of spice. I’ve tried quite a few spicy dishes in different places, and honestly, this is one of the best Spicy Bags I’ve ever had. Overall, Camilo Thai Food is a great spot if you’re looking for tasty food, generous portions, friendly service, and a relaxed place to sit and enjoy your meal. I would definitely recommend giving it a try, especially if you love spicy food! I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu. 🌶️🍜🇹🇭
