Underdog

Dublin
14/07/2025: bad customer service. not what you would expect in Dublin which I usually find so welcoming. and rip off prices
07/07/2025: This place is extremely recommended by our beer blog team. Great selection of local and imported beer – both on taps and in the fridges. Cozy atmosphere, nice music. And the bartender Carlos is the best man we’ve met in the city ❤️ Do not hesitate to check this gem.

Bunsen

Dublin
13/10/2025: It took them a long time to bring the food and then they didn't have any special flavor, they were just hamburgers.
07/10/2025: I went to another branch, but it was too crowded, so I came here. They showed me right away and I was able to eat. The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious.

Damascus Gate

Dublin
13/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an incredible experience! The food was absolutely top-notch — every dish bursting with flavour and authenticity — but the real highlight of the evening was the marvellous Lebanese gentleman who served us. His warmth, manners, and effortless hospitality elevated the entire night. He even surprised us with a bottle of his rarely accessible olive oil — a gesture so kind (and a bit funny) that it became the story of our evening! You can tell he truly loves what he does, and it shows in every smile and detail. We’ll definitely be coming back — not just for the food, but for the people who make it feel like home.
12/10/2025: I'm from Dearborn Mi Largest middle eastern population in North America. This place is top notch. Food, Service, friendly atmosphere. Loved it. Excellent!

Anglers Rest

Dublin
07/11/2025: This place is a gem. It is so warm and welcoming. There was live music when we were there on a Thursday night. The food was fantastic and the staff are really friendly and helpful.
02/11/2025: I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to leave a review after the experience today. We’ve been attending The Anglers Rest regularly over the years, and it’s always been a reliable spot for a nice meal. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was a complete disaster. It started with the waiter spilling a full glass of Coke on my legs and all over my Mam’s hands and jacket. The waiter was incredibly apologetic but I had to sit through dinner in wet trousers, which was incredibly uncomfortable. Then, smoke from the fire kept blowing into the dining area, making it hard to relax or enjoy the atmosphere. We waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and even then, only part of the order came out. The steak and a few dishes were served, but the chicken and the potatoes for the steak didn’t arrive until 10 minutes later, by which time the rest of the food was already going cold. The portion sizes were smaller than what they normally are. The manager did come over after my Dad explained what had happened and offered a free dessert as a gesture of goodwill. As regular customers, this experience was incredibly disappointing. The service was poor, the food was delayed, and the overall handling of the situation was careless. Sadly, we won’t be returning anytime soon.

Alma

Dublin
31/07/2025: My favourite spot in Dublin (if not the country) for food! Always delivers the flavour. First time in the new premises but great to see the same friendly staff and high quality food continue. Always recommend Alma to anyone looking for good food in Dublin knowing they won't be disappointed.
23/07/2025: A difficult spot to visit due to high demand & limited space however worth the effort of making a reservation ahead to visit. I recommend trying the avocado toast and the pancakes after to share. Fresh orange juice and a coffee are also a great option at Alma. I recommend checking them out.

The Dropping Well

Dublin
24/09/2025: It’s a pretty location by the river, and I think a good spot for a drink. Unfortunately our waitress was not very happy from the get-go, which soured the ambience. The salads and chips were marginal, at best. Update: after posting this the manager reached out personally and said this was not their typical standard and apologized and was very kind. I will give them another try!
20/09/2025: Our favourite restaurant, always go there for special occasions

Yoi Izakaya

Dublin
20/10/2025: The food is a complete disaster and has nothing to do with Japanese or sushi. The sushi rice is mushy. The meat has been treated with plasticizers. The vegetables are made of cabbage. So, if you're used to Japanese food, you won't be happy here. The decor is reminiscent of a cheap Chinese restaurant. The only thing that's convincing here is the price.
20/10/2025: Good sushi and tasty tapas. A bit better place then the one on barrow street

Charlotte Quay

Dublin
23/10/2025: Great restaurant although I bit loud. All in all, very enjoyable.
20/10/2025: On our last night visiting Dublin we wandered in Charlotte Quay because of the quay front location. Lucky us, we snagged the last terrace table available. This ended up being the best restaurant experience we had in Dublin. Pan fried cod, dry aged ribeye? Oh, yes. Perfectly cooked and delicious sides of sauteed greens for the cod and amazing pepper sauce and fries for the steak sauce were umami bomb delightful. The sun set and the lights twinkled off the water from the theatre across the way. All cool, but the best part of the experience was the relaxed and fun wait staff. I know this sounds gushing, but we loved this place. Get ye there!

Southern Spices

Dublin
27/10/2025: A pretty good South Indian restaurant that truly preserves the authentic flavors and spices. The highlight, however, is its clean and well-maintained washrooms — a rare find among Indian restaurants, even the “famous” ones in dublin.
27/10/2025: Karol served with smile but the other waitress wearing spectacles seems like she doesn’t want to serve customers. Visited the restaurant because of the good food but please improve the service. My partner also told me that several times the waitress with spectacles seems judgemental and giving side eyes. Smh

Bell Pesto Café

Dublin
07/10/2025: With a very pleasant atmosphere, it is the ideal place to eat something delicious, especially if you went to Paseo Guinness, the service was spectacular and the food was delicious, highly recommended!
05/10/2025: Wonderful main course spaghetti bolagnese and salad. But the cavollat (mix of merengue, vanilla custard, and dark chocolate) was out of this world
