The best restaurants in Dublin

19/08/2025: When we arrived, there was live music playing, a guy doing cover songs. We had a burger and fries for dinner. Highly recommended, good value for money. Oh, and a pint, of course.

07/09/2025: Look lads, love the bar. Great criac and great for a sunny day sitting out the front or by the canal but for the love of God, turn down the speakers, inside and outside. We were all the way up at the top loft and the music was splitting our heads open. Absolutely no need to have it that loud across the bar. Fair if I'm there right beside the singer/band etc but we were away from it. And then outside to enjoy the air and the speakers blaring and I mean blaring at head height in the smoking area. Madness, just turn it down

22/08/2025: Wow! What an experience we had at Liath last night. The food and wine pairings were imaginative, gorgeous and delicious. We'll 100% be back come the winter season to see what Chef Damien creates. The restaurant is small although manages to feel spacious while intimate. The service is impeccable without feeling pretentious and still feeling welcoming and friendly. Johnny created interesting and delicious wine pairings. Ailish was warm, passionate and attentive. The flow of service was quite natural and the restaurant clearly operates like a highly experienced and qualified team. Best meal of our life! We'll see you all soon!

16/08/2025: I had truly hoped this would be a glowing review, full of praise. Instead, my translation of Liath into Turkish will have to be: “İçi Boş Balon”. I’ve eaten in top-end restaurants from Paris to Tokyo, Istanbul to Taipei, San Francisco to Singapore, and I’ve learned that disappointment is sometimes part of the journey. Sadly, this was one of those times. If not for the thoughtful wine pairings (compliments to the sommelier), a few of the sweets, and the excellent stout bread, the meal would have been unforgettably bland from beginning to end. The langoustine was lost in its role as a filling. The “pollan” fish was overly pickled. The pata negra drowned in vinegar. The eel cone —Liath’s signature— stood out as a spectacular exception, a rare highlight. Frozen cheese may be an intriguing idea, but here it didn’t land (save for its marvellous match with the 2018 Domaine Rolet Côtes du Jura). We left feeling we needed a second dinner — which, in fact, we went and had. 🙂

19/08/2025: I just passed by to get a tiramisu to go and the receptionist and the waitress at the time were perfect, incredibly nice and helpful. The tiramisu was delicious. Will definitely go again when I get the chance.

20/08/2025: Met here before a match, place was really busy but plenty of staff even doing table service and food. We only had drinks but stayed a while as it was good!

10/08/2025: Stopped by The Bath pub and had a perfect pint of Guinness — smooth, rich, and poured just right. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the whole visit feel welcoming. Great atmosphere, great pint — I’ll definitely be back!

28/08/2025: We've ordered the Plane Jane irish coffee at 10€ which was a complete miss... The coffee was so watered down that it did NOT taste any coffee and the drink was obviously not mixed because the first 2 sips were just water. After mixing it ourselves, we tasted a bit of alcohol but still very lightly instead of how a real irish coffee is supposed to taste. The server was kind and smiling, but the coffee was NOT good unfortunately for 10€. Their world famous is the one at 11€ but we didn't try it. We went to The Bankers afterward and OH WOW that one was GREAT (and just 9€)

18/08/2025: Popped in for beer and onion rings. Atmosphere is loud and busy. Food was okay. My perspective is that it is mostly self service. They were busy when we arrived so understood needing to step up to the bar for our drinks. But it cleared out and service was still awful. It was like none of the servers felt then need to check on customers at the tables for drinks or food orders. Had to keep going to the bar to get a food order in and a second beer.

17/08/2025: Everything in this place is delicious, the food is exquisite

24/08/2025: Lovely place but the food leaves a lot to be desired. Table booked for 13 today. Service just ok. Roast beef...2 tiny skinny slices of dried out beef with rock hard veggies...not very nice at all. Rest of the food was just ok. Cannot understand why this place is busy!

13/07/2025: Me sirvió el piso blanco más caro del país una mujer grosera y arrogante hoy. También hacía frío. Cuando le informé de este hecho ella dijo "¿qué quieres decir con que hace frío?". Luego dijo que me haría otro "extra caliente". Este segundo blanco plano era la temperatura estándar, la misma temperatura que cualquier otro blanco plano que he tenido. Aoid el lugar, no voy a volver yo mismo
