The best restaurants in Dublin

29/10/2025: Nice vibes, a bit hipsterish for me but still nice so why not :) really nice and funny bartenders. Great drinks, especially the hot whiskey.

26/10/2025: The smoke was unbearable. They really need to fix the kitchen. Also,it's important to be flexible with the menu and accept changes to some plates especially when there are few option that are not classic.

25/10/2025: It is a very cosy place. The service was very good. The waitress was very kind and helpful. Her tattoos were great! 😀 The food was very tasty. It is worth to try a coffee with Baileys!

28/08/2025: Really bad drop off from this place. Was previously my favourite space for lunch in Dublin. Unfortunately with massive price increases and a drop in quality it’s not worth it. Ordered the spicy Cajun sandwich and noticed they stopped putting any sauce on it. 12€ for a dry chicken and cheese sandwich is frankly a rip off

28/08/2025: I will never visit this place again and you should not, either. However, if you decide to go there, you should definitely double-check your receipt here before paying. First I was charged 25.25 instead of 11.60 but realized only after swiping my card. Then they initiated a refund and charged my card again with the right amount (11.60), so I thought it was OK after all. I only realized on the next day (when the refund arrived) that they decided to "keep the change" and refund only 25.00.

18/03/2026: A friendly, neighborhood atmosphere, no tourists. I was the only outsider and they made me feel very welcome. The best parts were the service, the people, the karaoke, and the reasonably priced pints.

18/03/2026: Sooooo delicious! Highly recommended! We arrived quite late but were served in a friendly manner. Had a really tasty meal!

06/03/2026: Pho was ok, not the best I have had, the sauce was quite mild. I had the prawn version, and I heard someone asking to do similar to chicken broth, perhaos that would have helped. In the end the price / quality ratio was good.

11/03/2026: Update 2026: I have been kebabbing in Hit the Spot for years now. They recently rejigged the layout and new people are working there now. The place was a bit grubby before but it's proper dirty now. Doesn't instill much confidence in the food or hygiene standards in general when the place is so dirty. Very nice kebabs. Have also tried chicken jalfrezi which was lovely but chicken tikka masala was way too sweet and creamy for me.

13/02/2026: The lady that works here is great but the guy was 20 minutes late for my order. He was terrible. She was lovely !

05/10/2025: A small but very cozy Japanese restaurant with 10/10 service and a very interesting and varied menu. The portions are somewhat small but packed with flavor. We tried three different dishes, and all were delicious. They serve a rather expensive Waygu beef dish, which I haven't tried yet. I'll try it next time. Highly recommended for couples or with friends.

04/10/2025: The food is really good and a great representation of the Japanese cooking style. The staff are nice and friendly. The restaurant is built very neat and it also reminded me of a traditional Japanese restaurant

02/02/2026: Classy pub, with the traditional storefront, hardware and perfume bottles that used to be for sale. "Just going to the hardware store to buy a couple of nails and an Eau de Cologne", that old tradition. Heineken 0.0 on tap, that's pretty rare, and cool.

23/12/2025: Mayne's is a perfect local pub, and I loved going there during the six months that I lived in Donnybrook. It was a shame that they had to close the kitchen at the end of the summer, but it was necessary given that it was losing money. Most importantly, I was relieved that the pub has stayed open and continues to be an anchor of the neighborhood, with great pints and a very low-key atmosphere, as well as comfortable seating. The staff -- Alan, Fiona, Rodrigo, and Maria -- are friendly and extremely good at their jobs. They always made me feel welcome, and I'll miss going in for my usual.

28/02/2026: Absolutely brilliant night at Revels on Thursday! Had the burger, with the nicest pepper sauce I've ever had, and pint for €22, which was great value on its own, but the real highlight was the speed quiz. It was absolutely amazing fun and the host really, really brought it all together, great energy, great laughs, and brilliant engagement throughout. What a night of great craic, from start to finish. Highly recommend popping in if you’re looking for good food, a solid pint, and a cracking atmosphere. Thanks for a fantastic night!

27/02/2026: Myself and group of friends went to Revels last night for food and Speed Quiz.. the food was gorgeous ! I had a burger and there was alsa a mix of Tapas , really good food.. the speed quiz was great craic, we will be back next week. Didn’t take photos because we were immersed in trying to answer questions 😂

07/12/2025: Quality has gone down a bit with the rise in popularity of this place over the past couple years. Still a decent sandwich though.

21/11/2025: Read about the place yesterday in an article saying it’s the spot for proper Christmas sandwiches, so I legged it over before closing to grab a takeaway. Fair play, the hype is real. The Christmas special was unreal, packed full of flavour, and the drink I grabbed was surprisingly good too. Service was rapid even with the queue, and the lads behind the counter were sound. Grand spot if you’re after a hearty feed without the fuss.
