The Dropping Well
Dublin
21/07/2026: Smashing spot, little gem of a bar!
21/07/2026: I attended a lunch with about 70 people yesterday at the Dropping Well. The lunch was to celebrate the memory of my parents-in-law. The food and service were absolutely excellent and we were warmly welcomed as everyone arrived and took their seats.
The menu offered three courses including dessert platters. Trish Roddy, the brilliant front-of-house manager, was a true professional and a delight to work with in helping my partner to arrange the event including drinks throughout the meal. The establishment is situated close to the river Dodder with beautiful views along its banks. It was also great value for money. I highly recommend the Dropping Well for any occasion.

Lemon Crepe & Coffee Co
Dublin
30/06/2026: A no nonsense small eatery with barely functional tables and chairs but the crepes were delicious and that’s all
That matters. Not sophisticated. But delivers of quality. What more can you ask when food is the only thing that matters !
30/06/2026: Love crepes and nice staff. The chairs is too big for the small outdoor dining space.

The Rolling Donut Kiosk
Dublin
24/07/2026: These donuts were absolutely delicious! Fresh, soft, and full of flavor, they were a real treat from the first bite. The texture was perfect — light, fluffy, and beautifully prepared, with just the right amount of sweetness.
You can really taste the quality and care that goes into making them. Whether you enjoy classic flavors or something more creative, these donuts are a great choice for a sweet moment of happiness.
A simple but unforgettable dessert experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves fresh, tasty, and perfectly made donuts!
08/07/2026: A very tasty and heavenly warm donut.

Tom Kennedy's
Dublin
22/07/2026: Such an amazing place, specially the bartender Mark, we initially entered and kitchen was closed , we still sat down for a Guiness , we got to talking and I mentioned to mark that it’s my last night in Dublin and I was looking forward to eat Irish stew, at 9.30 in the night when kitchen closed at 8, Mark got me that amazing stew and was so kind. Will always remember the place and him for his kindness.
17/07/2026: Great beer and service. Irish food :-) Relax and take a break from the crowds at Temple Bar

Igo Inn
Dublin
24/06/2026: Had a lovely dinner at the Igo Inn. The staff is very attentive and there was a great crowd in there. Great atmosphere. I definitely recommend it.
12/05/2026: emailed them first but no reply
Hi Eamon,
I didn't want to post a review without giving you the right of reply but I am afraid I must bring this to your attention.
I would be a regular enough customer, certainly once a month for drinks and food and usually more.
Anyway, I arrived in yesterday around 16:45 and ordered a pint of Rockshore lager (see attached picture of it) and the mushroom soup and special.
1. The soup was cold
2. The special (chicken sizzler) was nice but the girl forgot to tell me the iron plate was scalding and I burnt 2 of my fingers badly in a vain attempt to lift it and scoop onto the plate with the rice
3. My sorry pint you can judge for yourself.
Paid my bill (was $32, gave 40 and said keep the change, the girl looked at me as if I had robbed her purse.
There was a family with 3 young kids in the area behind me. The 3 kids roared and screamed for the 50 minutes I was in there. And I mean roared the house down.
No one said a word. I ended up leaving.
Anyway that's my tale of woe.
You guys are better than that. I know it because i have always loved going in there

The Art of Coffee
Dublin
28/05/2026: On Thursday, 28 May at approximately 3:10 PM, three colleagues and I — professionals from nearby offices — visited The Art of Coffee. We are from different countries, but Russian is the common language we can speak. All of us made our orders in English and at no point were we loud, disruptive, or discussing politics.
We were speaking Russian in the queue, a young female barista with brown hair abruptly asked us to stop speaking Russian inside the café. When I asked why the language was a problem, she referenced the war in Ukraine and personal family loss. While one can sympathise with personal tragedy, it does not justify hostility toward peaceful customers because of the language they speak.
The situation escalated when I was questioned about whether Russian was “really” my language. When I asked for the barista’s name and requested to speak with management, she refused to identify herself and confidently stated that the manager “hates Russian language and anything Russian,” adding that we could only speak to management another day.
This felt openly discriminatory and hateful on the basis of language and perceived nationality. In an international city like Dublin, nobody should feel unwelcome for peacefully speaking their native language in private conversation. Such discriminatory and hateful comments can be rightfully escalated to the appropriate city or equality authorities.
It is especially disappointing given the café’s visible support for Ukraine, a country associated with European values such as tolerance and respect for linguistic and cultural diversity.
We left peacefully after paying, but the experience was deeply disappointing and unacceptable.
18/03/2026: Great atmosphere and lovely barista. Will be back here again :)
