The best restaurants in Dublin

27/04/2026: The staff were very unfriendly towards us, which made us feel very uncomfortable. There was no offer of advice or assistance whatsoever. The food was not very appealing for the price.

26/04/2026: I’ve been coming to this restaurant for quite some time, and it used to be one of my favourite spots for Vietnamese soup. The food was consistently authentic, the soup was always served properly hot, and the owner created a welcoming, attentive atmosphere that made you want to come back. Unfortunately, my recent visits have been increasingly disappointing. The most noticeable issue is the temperature of the soup—it’s often only lukewarm, which really takes away from the flavour and overall experience. For a place known for its soup, this is a major letdown. The service has also changed significantly. While I understand the restaurant is busy, the staff now seem rushed and inattentive, with little care for customer experience. On my latest visit, both my boyfriend and I were spoken to in a rude and dismissive manner—once while ordering and again when simply asking for chopsticks. This kind of interaction makes customers feel unwelcome. It’s disappointing to see a place with such strong potential decline like this. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because this restaurant used to be something special.

28/09/2025: Had a kebab here with my family today. The food itself wasn’t bad, but the customer service was the worst I’ve experienced in Ireland at any restaurant. Staff were rude and unhelpful, which completely spoiled the visit. To make things worse, there’s almost no parking, adding extra stress. Definitely not a place I’d recommend.

07/05/2026: This might be the best meal I had during my 12 day Irish road trip, no joke. I can’t give it 5 stars due to sanitation issues. This place is not for the faint of heart - especially the bathroom. They have a vermin problem. I’d stick to the hot food. Sushi? I wouldn’t trust it.

03/05/2026: Finally found some authentic, qualitative, good Asian food in Dublin! They deliver really fast as well (our delivery driver Annie called 5 mins before arriving, very polite!). Highly recommended!

26/04/2026: My experience at this place wasn't as good as the reviews suggested. In Spain, spring rolls are large and usually very tasty, with cabbage as the main ingredient. These were small and had lots of bean sprouts. The lemon chicken was very good, perfectly breaded, and with a light and balanced sauce (although it wasn't on the menu, they substituted it for me). The fried rice wasn't bad either. It's not fried rice with three delicacies, but it had its own charm. The friendliness of the service was a highlight.

15/04/2026: Fantastic night out for our 25th anniversary. Service was amazing , they take your coats and make you feel that you are there priority. It.was a Tuesday so fairly quiet but not really surprising with having all the bus and stopparges going on . I could at least talk to my husband without it been to noisy. The food was very good , we had venison cargars then I had Salmon with a lovely sauce and broccoli My husband got the lamb, he said it was delicious. For dessert I got the creme brulee and my husband got Pavlova ( more meringue than Pav ). We also had a lovely bottle of wine from NZ (Hunter Malborough wine. ) Service was second to none ,not one complaint. They even gave us a plate of delectable desserts with Haapy anniversary on the plate. A very thoughtful touch. I recommend the Shelbourne saddle room for an experience you won't regret. 28/10/2025: It’s the best place for boba in the area and the atmosphere is very welcoming and pretty. I very much recommend you go here with your friends and the fruit teas are really good as well with adorable cups.

11/03/2026: Update 2026: I have been kebabbing in Hit the Spot for years now. They recently rejigged the layout and new people are working there now. The place was a bit grubby before but it's proper dirty now. Doesn't instill much confidence in the food or hygiene standards in general when the place is so dirty. Very nice kebabs. Have also tried chicken jalfrezi which was lovely but chicken tikka masala was way too sweet and creamy for me.
