The best restaurants in Dublin

03/06/2025: We visited the pub on a sunny Sunday around 5:30 PM, and there were still plenty of free tables. Inside, it’s quite dark but very cozy and inviting. We ordered two beers with our food. The Shepherd’s Pie (€18.25) was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Some of the meat was nicely seared and crispy — for me, it was the best Shepherd’s Pie I’ve ever had. The Beef Stew with Guinness (€18.25) had a rich, hearty flavor. As a small side, it came with very tasty green beans and carrots, along with a few potatoes. The stew also had large chunks of carrot and celery, which added a unique and wonderful flavor. It was served with a side of bread and butter. The toilets were clean, and the staff was very kind and friendly. If we’re ever in Dublin again, we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

01/06/2025: This is a tourist venue and nothing more. The service was good but as I found out later in our trip nothing like real Irish service. The Guinness was poured terribly. We had lunch there. The serves were large but the food was a bit bland. If you want an authentic Irish pub you'll have to go elsewhere.

26/04/2025: Mad Coffee is a small but really cozy spot with amazing coffee! The host was super gracious and made the whole experience even better. I loved that they offer a large coffee option, which is hard to find sometimes, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, a really good experience — I’ll definitely be visiting again!

22/04/2025: We had an amazing experience at Mr. Perri! Their traditional Irish fish and chips were absolutely delicious — crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. But that’s not all — the pizza was surprisingly excellent, with a perfect crust and tasty toppings. The chicken was juicy and full of taste, and we also tried a box of mixed fish bites with chips that was super fresh and satisfying. Everything was prepared with care and served with a smile. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great food and variety in one spot!

11/06/2025: After the walk on the cliffs we stopped for lunch and we ate very well and abundantly, good fish and fair price. Excellent choice also for a snack and a good beer. Friendly and very helpful staff.

09/06/2025: We only wanted a light lunch, enjoyed a fantastic lobster roll. The cooked food looked excellent am sure it would be first on our list to revisit at some point.

13/05/2025: Great clean, spacious comfortable rooms, the suites have recently been refurbished and are fabulous. The bar food is amazing... The burgers and steaks are divine. The staff are friendly, professional and couldn't be more helpful. The hotel has recently been redecorated and looks brilliant. The new chips are fab and the bottled water and slippers. in the rooms are a nice touch. The recently renovated lobby looks amazing, as does the bar.

24/03/2025: I just recently had a Christening in the function room at the Grasshopper. I cannot speak highly enough of the place. Martin and the team were amazing to deal with and all the staff were exceptional on the day making sure everything ran smoothly. There is a super friendly atmosphere there in general. The food was fresh and delicious and the space was fantastic for an event. Everyone commented on the food and the professionalism of the staff. I would highly recommend The Grasshopper and will most definitely book my events there in the future. Thank you to the team at the Grasshopper for making our day so special and going above and beyond for us.

13/06/2025: Me and my friends had gone in here last night to enjoy a pint after our dinner, we had an hour to kill before we went somewhere else. We essentially split into two, 4 of us went to get doughnuts whilst the others went into the pub to get seats. So when me and my three other friends arrive to the group after eating our doughnuts. We sit down at the table and begin chatting. I had in mind to order a pint but I was just going to wait until the friends that had been there finished theirs so we could do a round together. After sitting down in the pub for maybe five minutes, this pretentious Eastern European young-wan comes up to us, counts how many people are at the table, and how many drinks we have (5) and just ruins our experience by saying some bs along the lines of “now I’m seeing 10 people here but you guys only have five drinks, so if yous all don’t get a drink then you’re just gonna have to leave” and then walked upstairs and didn’t even offer us a drinks menu or if we wanted to order anything. This was as we had basically just sat down at the table. The place wasn’t busy either it was a Thursday night. We obviously decided after that hostile customer service experience that we’re getting out of here. She then came back down maybe 5 minutes later and we said that we were just gonna go after the drinks we had already bought were done and that she just ruined our experience tbh. She began to apologize if her rude remarks came off the wrong way. And blamed that her manager would give out to her if they see that the table has half empty drinks. At the very end she began crying over it to one of my friends. Just a weird experience. But this just leads me to believe that this is a regular stunt pulled in this pub on, obviously on rich tourists, and she was just shocked that we didn’t fall for it. Honestly just can’t get over the way we were treated and the weird experience that the staff gave us. From other reviews this seems lots of customers have bad experiences with the staffs pretentiousness and rudeness. I work in customer service and I just can’t imagine treating any customer the way she spoke to us last night. Just unnacceptable tbh

16/05/2025: What could have been such a good night was cut short by poor management. The manager was generally just rude and had no time for us. Very disappointed and we will not be back ever again. I wouldn’t come back if I was dying from thirst…

25/05/2025: Very poor quality of hotel. Rooms very old fashioned with tired decor. No air conditioning. Lighting inadequate. TV had poor reception. We were in a first floor room directly above a noise party with loud music late into the night. Price was too high for this quality of room and hotel.
