The best restaurants in Dublin

06/08/2025: We visited the restaurant for the first time since the new management took over. The interior is even more stunning and the vibe soothing. We had lunch there and it wasn't very full so we enjoyed the ambience a lot. The menu could do with a bit more variety but we enjoyed the fish bites, chicken wrap and filet steak sandwich a lot. Aileen was a wonderful host and we were grateful for the birthday platter for my in-law. The Aperol spritz let me down a little as it could use a better prosecco to soda water ratio.

04/10/2025: Such amazing food and service here tonight. I had the special Steak François tonight, sooo tasty. With a nice red 😋 Followed by creme brulee, super nice. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. A little gem in Clontarf. Absolutely recommended.

29/09/2025: Food was amazing for our dinner Sunday 27 th night But staff manners and expressions and conversation with bill payment leave us speechless !! Bay Restaurant us to be our family favorite place for a lot event!! This poore tranquility amazing views and delicious food but because staff members actions i will think or we will come back such disappointment

26/09/2025: Lovely little cafe with delicious coffee and sandwiches. Great value lunch meal with a really good variety of choices for a sandwiches. Highly recommend it

24/10/2025: The most fabulous coffee in Dun Laoghaire. Fabulous gourmet sandwiches and soup. My only slight complaint would be that the little cakes are a bit pricey.

03/10/2025: Superb and friendly service. They put a lot of effort into my cappuccino and served me a swan. :) The cappuccino had a well-rounded flavor.

09/05/2025: Double check re allergies as the vegetarian dishes may have crustaceans in them. The girl serving changed my order promptly.

08/05/2025: Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Everything was overcooked and not warm enough when arrived. Our expectations were high, very surprised with what we got.

17/10/2025: Great lunch spot - the waiter/front of house guy is one of the best I’ve ever met !! Always courteous , professional, great service , always perfectly attentive. Have been a few times and always come back because he’s so good ! Thank you

12/10/2025: We were lucky enough that there was only another pair of couple in the restaurant when we visited. The waiter was so kind, so friendly and he offered us explanations of some menu options and helped us to order a nice selection of dinner. The salmon maki was so fresh, so tasty that we finished the dishes in 5 mins. The main was Sukiyaki, we ordered with a regular beef (Irish beef) this time, but the moment I had the first bite, I realized I should have gone with wagyu. Sukiyaki goes well with soft fatty tissues of beef that melt in your tongue. Irish beef is generally lean, making it hard and chewy that creates a major difference in overall experience. It was our mistake as the waiter was suggesting the wagyu, next time we definitely try with wagyu! We had an amazing time with food, service and atmosphere. We will definitely go back again soon!

21/07/2025: I ordered a burger and a soft drink and decided to sit in. They threw more than afew free chips which is a lovely touch and will make me come back. The chips are thick and almost have the consistency of double fried chips. Easily the best chipper chips in Dublin. They have a crunch on the outside and are super soft and fluffy inside. The burger had fresh ingredients, plenty moist with sauces, onion and cheese.

16/09/2025: Food is good. Chicken is always nice. Taco chips are my favourite here. Much nicer than any other place in my opinion and they are generous with the portions too. The girls behind the counter are friendly and the food is quick to come out. The only thing id say is the location is not the best if you are driving down. Parking can be a nightmare and being right beside a very busy road and a very busy/infamous roundabout doesn't help either. There's always traffic coming in and out of the place so i wouldnt recommend driving there during peak hours.

07/09/2025: i belive gerry is calling it a day wonder who will take over the pub and what will it be like then probably wont open till the afternoon and sell craft beers and price will go up and new staff

09/10/2025: Booked to celebrate a 40th birthday for 9 of us, they were accommodating for the booking just a few days before the event. Sadly that was where the pleasantries ended, the restaurant was very dark/dull which made the menu hard to read, I asked a couple of times if the battery operated lights could be replaced as no light was coming off them - this was ignored, drinks orders need chasing up/didn’t materialise, only a single small jug was offered for water. The food was ok, nothing special and was definitely overpriced. The toilets were dirty, had no toilet paper etc. despite it being early and the place practically empty. And no recognition of the celebratory occasion. I can’t say I’ll be recommending this place to anyone.
