10/05/2026: Really rude staff, awful attitudes, do not go here unless you want to be mugged or abused by staff

03/05/2026: This feels like stepping back in time. It's a real traditional Dublin bar that feels family run. The Guinness was fab and the staff chatty. We talked about the Leinster match I was en route to.

08/01/2026: The beef broth was delicious so were the tacos. A good selection of healthy food. Excellent location with plenty of parking nearby.

30/12/2025: Great food!!! Fast service. Perfect remedy after a day of travel and airport food, will aim to be back when I can.

08/02/2026: Fab Sunday lunch in The Coach House Pub in Ballinteer (5 min. drive from Dundrum shopping centre). They have a new menu with lots of gluten free options, including a carvery on a Sunday. No gluten free chips but the mash and roast potatoes were hot and delicious, as was the roast beef and veg. I had Eaton mess (meringue, cream, ice-cream and berries) for dessert. Very tasty. I wanted to give them a shout-out because it was such a positive experience. Everyone in my family was happy with their food as well. P.S. No photo because I ate it too quickly 😉

22/03/2026: I arrived after 10.30, but I was told that non-hotel guests can only visit the café from 12 noon. This should be stated somewhere.

13/05/2026: Love this place, love the buffet hotpot. It's so good!! You can pick from a variety of fillings and get desserts too. Also try the plum juice, it's really nice 🥰

28/04/2026: We were looking for somewhere to eat before arriving at the airport, where there's nothing decent to eat. This place was a total find! The food was very good with a great variety, dozens of types of beer and pasta to choose from, fast service, and the place was very nicely decorated. Highly recommended on the way to the airport.

26/04/2026: Had the wings and roast beef. Honestly such good quality and plenty of food. Staff are so friendly and atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Music isn’t bad either 😉

02/05/2026: Appalling!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Food was absolutely atrocious we didn’t eat any of it and when we asked for a refund (we were happy to pay for drinks) the lady didn’t answer us and just walked away!! Very very rude and unhelpful staff especially a lady by the name of “candy” if she even gave us her correct name had a terrible attitude made us feel very uncomfortable. We left the restaurant still hungry and upset.

18/05/2026: Food was good 👍 very skinny fries. We booked for 7 on a sunday, we were one of the last tables served and it got very quiet very quickly.

16/05/2026: Really nice for brunch on the weekends with a lot of choices. There are sweet meals like pancakes or also choices like chicken or salmon in different versions. You can also sit outside close to the waterfront of the weather is nice. Friendly service from everyone around, really enjoyed the time.

16/02/2026: Be warned staff will overcharge you here. Came here on Saturday night for a friends' leaving night and the place is nice, staff are friendly. However I ordered two pints when I got there, which was €13.50, so €6.75 per pint. Later on in the night I got one pint and I was charged €8.50. I didn't check the card machine before tapping my phone, and didn't notice until the next day, otherwise I would have said it. Either this place is using some kind of variable pricing, or the barman added a tip without asking me, or just simply overcharged me, because in what world is a pint of beer €8.50, not sure Temple Bar would even be that expensive. I tried to find an email address for the bar to say this to them directly without posting it here but they don't seem to have one. The chicken goujons were ok but I only got three small ones, not great for the price. The DJ will also deafen you when he starts, and once he starts all chance of conversation with your friends goes out the window.

26/06/2025: I went to this shop today and it was closed – it had just shut 10 minutes earlier and they were cleaning up. Sweetie, her name, saw me waiting outside and noticed I looked a bit disappointed. It’s my anniversary today – mine and my wife’s – and we really wanted to buy a cake. Sweetie kindly opened the door and let me in to buy one. As a customer, I felt truly valued – the service was 10 out of 10. I really appreciate what she did, and I hope the managers see this review and thank her personally
