18/12/2025: Avoid this pub at all costs. The drinks are very expensive, and the beer was completely weak. The burgers, whether you order chicken or beef, both taste equally bad. The toilets were dirty and clogged. Plus, it's very expensive for what they offer. There are much better places in Dublin to enjoy a good pint and decent food. The worst experience I've had as a tourist in the city.

12/01/2026: A small corner pub in the best sense. Good pints, quickly poured, self-service as usual in a pub – our favorite beer, Smithwick's on tap for €5/pint. 👍

30/12/2025: I came here on a Saturday night to have a beer during my holiday in Dublin, I was advised by a guy that I met in town. Differently from other pubs where I've been on the same night, this was quite bigger, so even though it was packed I found a free table after a while. Besides there was music playing, so people danced and the atmosphere was very fun.

27/12/2025: Very disappointing experience at the Foggy Dew last night. A staff member repeatedly made uncomfortable, inappropriate comments, stood way too close and was very touchy and didn’t take the hint when the attention clearly wasn’t wanted. He was saying that he was the manager and trying to sell some tickets for a raffle, a shorter bald man with a cap on. It crossed the line from friendly to creepy and really ruined the vibe. A pub should feel safe and welcoming, this definitely didn’t. I told someone behind the bar about this and they said that they would bring this up, but I want to make sure that this might get seen by someone. This needs to be addressed as having this kind of a manager is quite detrimental and embarrassing for the pub.

25/10/2025: Great little pub. Service excellent. Pints of stout excellent. A few lovely tunes playing in the corner. A real Dublin pub you must visit.

19/10/2025: Such a shame. We had a beer and walked around the city when we passed by this establishment. We could hear the music from the street so we decided to finish our drink and head to this place. When we got inside, the waiter told us that he wouldn't serve us because we drunk outside the establishment. I tried to tell him that if was just unfortunate and we didn't have any bad intentions but he threw us out acting in bad faith. Well, sorry buddy, I'd have loved to visit this establishment but you were rude and frankly ridiculous.

04/02/2026: We only had a chance to visit this place in the morning's before work. Coffee is delicious, both the flat white and the americano. The freshly made croissants are very tasty and light especially the one with pistachio cream. Staff are super friendly and fun. The cafe opens from 7.30am on a week day which is rare for Dublin.

31/01/2026: The service was perfect, and the pinza was absolutely delicious. The staff are really very kind. I recommend everyone to eat here!!

21/03/2025: Esta es la segunda vez que he estado en Locks... Siempre iré aquí cuando esté en Dublín. La ubicación en lo que parece ser una zona residencial tranquila cerca de un arroyo o pequeño río es agradable. El restaurante está en un espacio genial y acogedor. El menú no es enorme, pero la comida es deliciosa.

24/01/2026: It's beef, what more can I say? The very fact that these wonderful folks specialise in the wonder that it beef is just epic, if this place doesn't make you scream "ALL HAIL THE COW GOD!!" after the first bite then I don't know what is wrong with you! Bouef is a great place, the atmosphere is wondrous, me & the wife sat in the little conservatory being baked alive with the heater above us while it was 8° & raining outside was beautiful & poetic. The staff were friendly & helpful, the place was busy but the staff were all attentive. I can't recommend this place enough, if you like cow then this place is for you!!

24/01/2026: Really a lovely place for steak, high quality but surprising reason price. Eating in the outdoor section feels really like on the street in Paris.

01/01/2026: I got the roast beef. The whole dish lacked seasoning. Roast beef was like rubber. Potatoes bland. Asked for gravy and was given pepper sauce. Don't ask for roast of the day. Clearly reheated .

25/10/2025: We ordered for the first time and it most definitely won't be the last ! The food was absolutely sensational, and the tiramisu—banging. This particular night it was quite busy and we did have quite a bit of a wait for the food but yet it was lovely and hot when it arrived. This really impressed us as we've ordered from other places and food arrived stone cold, so the fact we had a long wait and they still managed to have our food fresh and hot shows these guys know what they're doing and they care. Honestly top class folks,thanks! Currently munching on the next order as I write this review 😂

15/12/2025: We had a wonderful experience hosting our Christmas party here. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The staff were attentive throughout the evening especially Martin and Elaine made sure our whole group felt looked after. We would definitely recommend this place
