The best restaurants in Dublin

24/09/2025: I've been staying a number of days at a hotel near Hansel and Gretel, and have found this great little bakery and coffee shop a convenient stop as I'm walking to various tourist sites. The pastries are freshly baked and very good, and the coffee (which may be supplied by a coffee shop chain called Ariosa) is very good. Unlike other nearby coffee shops, Hansel and Gretel has no seating either inside or outside. But if a takeaway cup of coffee and a pastry is your thing, this is a great choice.

03/09/2025: Tasty treats, with lovely coffee and hot chocolate. Quick service, and great selection of pastries/cakes.

21/07/2025: I ordered a burger and a soft drink and decided to sit in. They threw more than afew free chips which is a lovely touch and will make me come back. The chips are thick and almost have the consistency of double fried chips. Easily the best chipper chips in Dublin. They have a crunch on the outside and are super soft and fluffy inside. The burger had fresh ingredients, plenty moist with sauces, onion and cheese.

15/12/2025: Very disappointed this time as we often eat there. Waiting time was extremely long, the male waitress not very friendly, food portions are getting smaller every time and very salty. Eggs Benedict served without sauce. Place very warm I had to go out for fresh air few time. It was one of our favourite places to dine it’s not any more unfortunately

23/11/2025: Stayed here again last week after a great stay last Christmas. Unfortunately, the service and food in this hotel has taken a nose dive in the last 12 months. Bar was packed when we arrived and there was no bar staff working for at least 10 minutes to serve anyone. I’ve never seen this before. The dinner inclusive menu has really been stripped back to basics. The food last year was gorgeous with plenty of choice. However this time round there was a choice of about 4 mains of which one was steak with a €12 supplement. I had fish and chips both times and the difference in quality was stark. No comparison between the two dishes. Breakfast the following day was a joke. It was like Dublin airport with eveyone coming and going. There was a queue of about 10 people waiting for one toaster where everyone had to toast their slice 3 or 4 times to actually get it to toast. Needless to say your hot breakfast is cold then by the time you sit down. We mentioned it to staff but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. I know this hotel is part of a huge chain and definitely lacks that touch where your custom is valued. Will not be back.

16/11/2025: Worst experience. We are a family of five with a 9-year-old child, and we arrived at around 8:30 pm. We waited for more than 20 minutes just to get menus, and that was only after we asked. The girl who brought the menus was rude, speaking as if she owned the place, and told us we should have waited at the door to get them—apparently that’s why no one had given us menus. Her tone said everything about the level of customer service. If that’s the rule, then please put a sign on the door saying “Wait here for menus.” When we ordered, we mentioned that we had a movie at 9:20 pm, and she responded, “Oh, I don’t think the food can be cooked before then.” But in reality, we got our food in 10 minutes. It genuinely felt like she didn’t want us sitting there. We also noticed that every other table had a water jug except ours. At the end, when the guy brought the bill, the POS machine even prompted for a tip—was he expecting one after service like that? He needs to open his eyes and see the type of service they’re providing. Except for the food, everything was terrible. Not coming back.

14/11/2025: Over 2+ hours spent waiting for delivery to arrive. Pizza was cold. Don't offer a delivery option if you can't garuntee your quality

04/12/2025: Good food. It was crowded and load when we went. Service was good. Note that tips are added to the bill. It is written on the menu and you have an option to let the server know if you want to opt out. But we did not do it.

16/11/2025: Service staff were friendly and attentive. Food is OK for the price. Ribeye steak was quite fatty and thick cut chips come coated in paprika which was unexpected. Peppercorn sauce was good. Not the best steak you'll ever have but certainly on the cheaper side for Dublin!

20/05/2025: Terrible and inconsistent service. Was there yesterday may 19th Monday. Amazing service with a smile. Came in today, Tuesday 20th of May an it couldn’t be worse. Young lady just miserable.

27/11/2025: I always order the vegetarian sushi, I have tried many places in Blanchardstown and Dublin City centre for vegetarian sushi and this is by far the best place. Always a generous amount of veg. The staff are very friendly.

30/10/2025: Came here for the 2nd time with my girlfriend and it was just as good as last time, it's a nice local sushi spot and the food is well worth the price, the service is really nice and i recommend it to anyone to try this place.

25/10/2025: We ordered for the first time and it most definitely won't be the last ! The food was absolutely sensational, and the tiramisu—banging. This particular night it was quite busy and we did have quite a bit of a wait for the food but yet it was lovely and hot when it arrived. This really impressed us as we've ordered from other places and food arrived stone cold, so the fact we had a long wait and they still managed to have our food fresh and hot shows these guys know what they're doing and they care. Honestly top class folks,thanks! Currently munching on the next order as I write this review 😂
