Bay
Dublin
22/10/2024: This place is charming and has a beautiful sea view. Highly recommend to catchup with friends or a casual dinner. Staff are delightful and very pleasant, the menu is well thought out and the cocktails look good. The food is balanced and the portions are quite normally sized.
It is a bit hard to find parking, but definitely worth a visit

The Rag Trader
Dublin
04/11/2024: I spent a while chatting with everyone. Staff is incredibly fun and friendly. Dave’s hands make the best old fashions. Had a great time with great drinks!!!
21/10/2024: Garett and Dave what a brilliant duo behind the bar … my first day in dublin I didn’t only get an amazing old fashioned which I have never liked in the past but also the comedy show of these two gentlemen working together… would have paid money to see them :)… then I came back on Saturday and the speed in which they both serve drinks without comprising its taste is very impressive… and on Sunday I went back once more to have a lovely last evening in Dublin and Garett kept me entertained and gave me some life lessons and wisdoms that I will never forget! what a true Irish old school gentleman he is!
We also met Mark and he is just as fantastic as the rest of the team… his Amaretto sour with a cherry twist is a drink I will come back for as well as both Dave’s and Garret’s old fashioned cocktails
the place has a wonderful atmosphere but these three gentlemen is the reason I kept going back and will come back in the future!

24/11/2024: One of the best pizza I have ever had. The dough was very thin and crispy, and the toppings were amazing. The deal meal they have with two slices and a drink, is great, we went there twice in the span of 3 days to get it. I'm still thinking about this pizza. Would highly recommend.

01/10/2024: My first-ever pint of Guinness in Ireland was right here! A lovely pint! Poured by the owner himself, Jerry (a very personable gentleman). [The dribble was my own fault as I positioned the pint for my photo.]

Bresson
Dublin
26/10/2024: Food was OK but nothing special, it’s a nice restaurant space located in the centre of monkstown village, but the athmosphere and staff lack the finesse required to elevate to of a fine dining restaurant. More so a family brasserie.
The French onion soup was disappointing, based on a beef consumme, the onion was was a dark stewed consistency.. I’ve had countless onion soups, it wouldnt rank favourably. The veal was good- tender and cooked well. My colleagues had the duck which they loved , but the real disappointment was the apple tart tatin… basically stewed apple, with a caramel type sauce, no pastry to speak off. Hard chunks… really not good, we left it behind after 1x taste. The pastry chef really needs a refresher course…
The main waitress was a nice person and chatty , but there we were more often topping up the wine despite 4x staff passing by our table every minute. Just lacking attention to detail I’m afraid. Appreciate it’s a hard time for restaurants but good service costs nothing.
€550+ bill for 4x incl winen& tip.
t thet level of spend, it’s an OK-ish from me..

Indie Spice
Dublin
22/09/2024: We recently visited Dublin for a weekend with four couples, and decided to dine at this Khushee restaurant despite a warning from our taxi driver, who mentioned that the owners use low-quality products. We chose to ignore his advice, trusting the seemingly positive online reviews. Unfortunately, we should have listened.
The experience took a nosedive from the moment the waiter started filling our wine glasses to the brim. I joked with my friend that they were angling for us to order another bottle — and sure enough, they did.
The meal began with papadams, which were fine, but the tamarind chutney was dreadful. For starters, we ordered two platters, two plates of prawns, a few plates of scallops, two plates of chicken tandoori, naan, and dal makhani.
Where do I even begin? This was hands down the worst food I have ever eaten, and I’ve traveled extensively. The grilled broccoli was mushy and overdone, the sheek kebabs were awful, and while the prawns on the mixed platter were passable, the fried chicken had zero flavor. The chicken tandoori tasted as if it was simply dusted in tandoori masala powder — utterly inedible. The scallops were topped with some odd green substance and tasted alright unless you accidentally ate the pink blobs of cheap mayonnaise or the other inedible sauces they added. The fried prawns were okay on the inside, but had a strange wasabi-like sauce that didn’t work at all. Even the garlic naan was disappointing, with the garlic left raw. To cap it off, the dal makhani, which should be a simple and reliable dish, was shockingly bad — an achievement in itself.
The bill came to around €280, and we didn’t even stay for the main course. I truly cannot overstate how terrible the food was. On the bright side, we’ll probably laugh about this disaster in ten years.
I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone — not even as a joke. The positive online ratings simply cannot be genuine. It’s a shame, as we were all looking forward to a nice meal with our wives, but instead, we left deeply disappointed that such an establishment can serve such awful food and get away with it.
16/09/2024: Lovely place. We had Dal Makhani and Garlic Naan with Jeera Aloo as a side, brilliant flavors. And Gulab Jamun cheesecake was a delight.

Horse Show House
Dublin
08/11/2024: Food is edible.
Way too over priced
07/11/2024: This is a great little spot to host an event, we rented the back room for a birthday party. Enough space to have table and chairs for everyone and enough floor space for a dance floor, we also had a microphone and speaker for impromptu karaoke.
If you're just going for a drink here then it's alright, nothing special but nothing bad either.

29/10/2024: Everything was delicious but there was only 1 main dish that could be dairy free so limited options.
