The best restaurants in Dublin

03/08/2025: A true taste of Italy in Dublin Caffè Cagliostro is such a gem! It’s one of the few spots in Dublin where you can enjoy a truly authentic Italian coffee experience. The coffee is rich, smooth, and clearly made with care—exactly what you’d hope for in a proper Italian café. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with that genuine European café feel that makes you want to linger a bit longer. It’s the perfect place to pause during a busy day, whether for a quick espresso or a relaxed cappuccino. The only challenge is that it can be hard to find a seat sometimes, which just goes to show how popular and loved this place is. Overall, if you’re in Dublin and craving a real Italian coffee, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

30/07/2025: I'm only posting this photo because... at Caffè Cagliostro you can find good Italian coffee, and for us Italians, this photo represents everything, in my opinion. The Italian staff are very friendly and open to conversation, even about music and instrumentals. When I return to Dublin, I'll definitely be back.

15/09/2025: We hosted a hen party here on Saturday for 21 ladies, and it could not have gone better! The team were incredibly accommodating – they allowed us to set up our own decorations and food, and were so helpful with everything from start to finish. We had corkage on some bottles of prosecco for a welcome drink, and the staff went above and beyond making sure everyone’s glasses were always topped up, even when we moved up to the top deck. As we essentially ran an open bar with drink tokens for guests, it was great to see how respectful and honest the staff were – they made everything so easy for us and didn’t take advantage in any way. Another lovely touch was being able to connect our phones via Bluetooth for music, which meant we could play our own playlist on deck and set the perfect atmosphere. The whole experience was honestly the highlight of the day, and all of our guests had an absolute ball. Thank you so much to everyone at the Dublin Canal Boat Restaurant for helping us create such a memorable start to our hen celebrations!

20/05/2025: Second time having my son’s birthday here, unfortunately I won’t be booking again. The man at reception was so lovely and helpful! But after that it went down hill, the party “host” was on his phone leaning against the wall while kids played bubble football for the full 45 mins. The only time he lifted his head off his phone was to help a child that called him to help with the bubble. I went back into the man In reception and asked was the hosting to do any games with the kids, after this he went out to talk to him . After that the “host” took all the lads to the party room, came back with food and then left. The staff in the bar and the man in reception were so lovely and helpful, but the party “host” had no interest to be there, let alone the party host. Please give the kids that are there for a party, your time and attention.

02/10/2025: First time having Nandos in years, so a very long time and honestly it was great. Staff was great explained and gave details about new items and ordering. Atmosphere was comfortable and chill. Food was enjoyable we had the new wings and it was pretty good, spicy but not too dying spicy so you can still taste it lol If you're in the mood for chicken or wanna chill with a mate, colleague and even date, recommend it here, was nice and affordable.

30/09/2025: Typical Portuguese roast chicken, with the added benefit of seasoning. A wide variety of homemade piri piri sauces. Friendly staff, who speak Portuguese too. A must-visit.

14/10/2025: The place to go if you’re looking for great margaritas! Good variety of options for the drinks and the food was great as well, they recommend 2-3 smaller dishes, but 2 were enough for me and the rest of our company to be satisfied. The pork belly is great!

27/08/2025: Great coffee, great food and a comfortable atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and the wait time is very short. The coffee and food are really high quality, while the prices are extremely reasonable. There is a good variety of sandwiches, pastries and drinks. Definitely a 5-star spot! 😊

11/10/2025: We had our Dad's 70th in the space upstairs. All of the guests commented on how good the platters were. The space itself was comfortable and the atmosphere was welcoming. Dave helped us out with setting up a playlist and a slide show on the screen and everything else in between! A great spot to consider for a party venue! Our dad had a brilliant night!

10/10/2025: I came here on Tuesday and was absolutely delighted — the drinks, the food, and the staff were so lovely that I came back today with my partner! Even without a reservation, they found us a table and treated us so well again. We ordered a nice bottle of wine, and the food was just amazing!!! Huge thanks to Emily — such a lovely girl, she took such great care of us! They truly deserve a thousand stars! 💫

05/10/2025: Excellent place to eat with exquisite service and very good food. €113 for three people. Highly recommended for a break from the pizzerias and burger joints.

01/10/2025: We went for a meal in Hartley's Restaurant last night, we have eaten in this restaurant many times & always had a wonderful time & last night was no exception. A Great Restaurant, Fantastic Food & Wonderful Staff it is always amazing when you can treat yourself to go out & eat & always know that it you will be very Happy at the end of the evening. We had one small issue with our meal (which I pointed out to our server not as a complaint but just to draw attention to it.) The way that this issue was handled was FANTASTIC & so Professional. When we got our bill that part of the meal was taken off the bill as well as our first round of drinks which we did not expect as it was such a small issue, but this goes again to show the Professionalism of the staff. THANK YOU for another Wonderful Night looking forward to our next night out in Hartley's Restaurant

20/10/2025: The taste of the food was good overall. However, the chicken needed to be cooked a bit more — it wasn’t raw, but not quite well-done or tender. It was also topped with something slightly burnt, which I could smell before tasting. The vegetables in both dishes were undercooked and still quite crunchy, and the French fries were only warm instead of hot. The staff seemed stressed and didn’t smile, which made the atmosphere less welcoming. When I asked to change our table, one of the team members just waved his hand and told me to ask someone else. I didn’t feel comfortable during the visit. Although we received a 10% discount, we chose to return it as a tip — hoping it helps the team improve their service in the future.

08/08/2025: I got the fish and chips and my kids got the gelato. Fish seemed really fresh and the batter was just right, crunchy, not greasy and seasoned nicely. Chips were 'chipper chips' done perfectly, while the garlic dip was way nicer than what you usually get in a traditional chipper. The real winner was the ice cream though. You don't expect to find outstanding, authentic ice cream with top ingredients in a Dublin chipper but that's what we got! Pistachio and chocolate was the winning combination according to my kids. Would recommend this place

05/10/2025: This is a gem of a place, little tricky to get to, but worth it . Attentive friendly staff, well presented and tasty food along with a lovely atmosphere . The pancakes are amazing and they have a great deal on toasties . We will visit again!

17/09/2025: Takeaway order arrived about 15 after I hung up the phone one night, no joke 🏎 King prawn Thai Green out of here is the best I've had in Ireland. Prawns have that lovely fresh bursty bounce off them too, no soft mushy bland yokes like you get in some other places.

30/08/2025: Arrived rapid after ordering, tasty tasty food, lovely curry. I will say the chicken I had, chicken breast 4 in 1, was the best cooked chicken I've ever had in a take away/ restaurant. So so so moist, would never expect that quality from a take away to be honest.
