The best restaurants in Dublin

19/05/2026: In town on vacation and stumbled upon this bar as I walked by this raining night. Pulled up a barstool, ordered a red 🍺 ale with fish & chips, and watched football ⚽️. Great experience do recommend. Read a review that stated they dont cook the food but outsource... if so, it was still great!

12/05/2026: Nice bar, nice pints, nice bar stools The door is always open so it gets cold inside sometimes so wear a jumper or jacket

21/11/2025: Read about the place yesterday in an article saying it’s the spot for proper Christmas sandwiches, so I legged it over before closing to grab a takeaway. Fair play, the hype is real. The Christmas special was unreal, packed full of flavour, and the drink I grabbed was surprisingly good too. Service was rapid even with the queue, and the lads behind the counter were sound. Grand spot if you’re after a hearty feed without the fuss.

29/04/2026: I recently visited Mao in Stillorgan, and unfortunately, it wasn’t the same as I remembered. The taste has definitely changed from what I used to enjoy before. We ordered the Tom Yum soup, nasi goreng, Mao wings, and kids noodles. The soup was quite salty and overly tangy, not the balanced flavour you’d expect. The nasi goreng was just okay, but it didn’t have the distinctive Mao taste I remember. Overall, the food felt average and a bit disappointing compared to previous visits. On the positive side, the ambiance is nice, quiet and comfortable, which made the dining experience pleasant. But when it comes to the food, it didn’t really live up to expectations this time.

03/04/2026: Butter chicken and garlic naan were amazing! But the service needs improvement . One waiter literally asked me twice during the meal, “Finished? Finished?” even though there were plenty of empty seats. It was a bit uncomfortable🫣

28/03/2026: Had a family celebration here on a busy Friday night. When we arrived we were a bit concerned as the restaurant was full and very crowded. However, when we received our food we realised why the place was so busy as the food is absolutely amazing. The chicken balti was to die for! The starters, the naan bread, onion bajee, pakora, (to name a few dishes) were freshly prepared and tasted delicious. We will be returning.

01/06/2026: Cozy, quaint, and simply a Dublin original. Huge selection of beers and drinks, delicious breakfast, and hearty pub specialties. The service is always friendly and quick. Just what you want. Go there and feel at home. Take some time to soak up the atmosphere.

31/05/2026: We quite enjoyed this place. Their good ordering service is pretty standard here in Dublin, which involves you going to ask the bar tender and not waiting to be served. At least this was the case during live music, which I felt the performer hit it out of the park. We just had their curry chips and they were delicious; the curry here is just so much better than the states.

08/04/2026: Always a great place for breakfast and brunch! The Eggs Benedict and Potted Smoked Salmon Eggs were really lovely and I particularly appreciated that when I ordered a pot of tea it contained real tea leaves which made the tea brew really strong, just the way I like it.

26/08/2025: Oredered cake for my daughter, amazing decoration and delicious taste (fresh cream and strawberries) and yet price is so affordable. I wish they had more options for cake fillings.

06/08/2025: I ordered a cake for my husbands 40th birthday celebration, it was in a fabulous box and even came with candles, it tasted absolutely delicious and if we ever return to Dublin I will most definitely be ordering another cake! Thank you.
