Lisboa Pastelaria
Dublin
12/06/2025: A very cozy and comfortable place to eat. The food is delicious, especially the pastels de nata.
12/06/2025: Definitely stick to a pastel de nata if you come here they’re amazing! However the coffee and sandwiches are a bit miserable. €5 for a coffee is a boutique coffee shop price, so I expected the same quality and didn’t get it.
TLDR: pastel de natas are incredible everything else pretty mediocre and overpriced.

Lennan's Yard - Pub, Bar & Restaurant
Dublin
10/06/2025: We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The day was nice and we sat near an open door to the courtyard as all the outdoor tables were taken. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. We had the Asian salad and the Open crab sandwich with Millionaire potatoes on the side. All the food was excellent but a special commendation goes to the potatoes – a very small portion but very rich!
07/06/2025: The food was superb...very tasty

Butlers Chocolate Café, Liffey Street
Dublin
14/06/2025: The hot chocolate here is really good, although I think the guy Carl could probably use more chocolate when he does it. I once met the Brazilian national goalkeeper Alisson Becker here when he was having coffee, that was cool. I think I saw Robert Lewandowski in here one day too, although his friends with him were calling him Kuba or something. I have to try the signature sundae they do here some day, maybe now it's Summer I will get a chance - I think it's brownies crushed into ice cream kind of thing, sounds amazing!
30/05/2025: Delicious coffee and cookie& chocolate ❤️ love it, whole café feels cozy and customer service 101 %. Will come back when in Dublin.

Walters
Dublin
30/05/2025: Here we are, visiting Dublin's Irish Whiskey Museum, not for the tour but just to check out the place and drink some sipping whiskey and couldn't help but wonder .... is there any place in Dublin that offers a vegan version of an Irish Whisky 🤔?
I decided to pose the question to the local community in the Dublin Vegans Facebook group. I posted the question a few days back and there were no replies so I figured maybe that wasn't an option.
Wednesday evening, we decided to start our next day (Thursday), by taking the Dublin Bay Cruises from Dublin into the port town just south of Dublin, Dún Laoghaire (which I can all but guarantee that I butcher every time I try to say the name lol!). It's an incredibly beautiful one hour ferry ride and the port city is just so lovely to walk around and explore.
As luck would have it, while we were hanging out in Dún Laoghaire, someone ended up replying to my post and referred us to a restaurant, Walters Dun Laoghaire which was ironically enough .. in the same town we happened to be visiting and within a 2 minute walk of where we were at the time of receiving the reply lol (truly have to love the irony of the Universe at time!). Interestingly, on Wednesday evening I did research vegan options for Thursday and while I found quite a few places with vegan options, I didn't happen across Walters. So, were it not for that group member replying to my post, I'd never have known and not had the opportunity to share with everyone reading so, thank you "group member" 🙂
Do I really need to even tell you how good the Irish Whiskey was? It's ok, I don't mind, so .. I'll tell you anyhow 🙂 .. it was "AJ Sytles" phenomenal (sorry, that's a nerd WWE wrestling reference which you can be forgive if you're not familiar with lol). It turns out the bartender there is a vegan, which translated into him providing vegan options of otherwise non vegan drinks, YAY!
They have some nice vegan menu options as well. We decided Wild Mushroom Arancini and the dish was every bit as good as it looks in the picture. As soon as you take one bite, you get a heavenly earthy smell and taste of the mushrooms, the sauce was the perfect accompaniment and, the dish as a whole was aesthetically gorgeous!
If you haven't yet, take the cruise, or drive or take transit (there are buses that run out that way and also a local DART train line), take in the scenery of the local area and feast on amazing vegan food and imbibe to delightfully amazing and gratifying vegan cocktail!
24/05/2025: I'll skip feedback on my meal as it's a while ago but what really disappoints is the lack of respect for the Irish tricolour. It is not bunting and only one flag should be flown on a building. On left most pole if all poles same heights or centre if it's taller. Also the flags should be at the top of the pole not half mast.

O'Dwyers
Dublin
21/05/2025: Great service, great food. Speedquiz on a Tuesday is savage craic, highly recommend.
11/05/2025: Upstairs in Scott’s a chef was shouting abusively at the front of house team, could hear each word loud and clear several times from the other side of the restaurant. Chefs get a lot of slack cut for them but that wasn’t ok. What’s the line between that and workplace bullying? was angry on behalf of the front of house team, though they just got on and didn’t make any fuss out of it.

isabelle's
Dublin
02/06/2025: Nice place for a brunch. The interior feels really nice. It wasn't too crowded when I was there. The menu is nothing to rave about, absolutely fine, everything was tasty. It was easy to get this place booked and the service was good.
Can't say you'll be missing out if you don't eat here, but if you do, you won't be making a mistake. Would recommend and would go back to eat here 😊
01/06/2025: We went for brunch and all three dishes we ordered were disappointing (the poached eggs were hard boiled and cold, the burger was bad). We sat outside and the service was very slow.

Coffee Works Lucan
Dublin
16/05/2025: Updated: 16th May 25... unfortunately Tristan it was not 10/10 as you said back then but the good news it was improving and today a new girl made a 4.5/5. Kudos to her 👏 seems the new staff are on the ball
Old Review
This place used to have 5/5 coffee. But it's staff have completely turned over. They are fairly nice and friendly but their coffee can range from burnt milk to a latte instead of a cappuccino milk. Never velvet like some other pricey coffee places which this is in the same price category for. Get back to basics. Make good coffee. Train the staff to do that consistently. Forget hiring people who just look cool behind the counter 😆 probably slipped behind artisian bakery...hudson rooms....and seasons on the weir.
07/05/2025: Great place, great coffee, great staff so good always a queue in the mornings but worth the wait

Benito's
Dublin
12/05/2025: Good italian restaurant in the center of Dalky. Service and food is OK. Menu prices are not exceptional high.
27/04/2025: I had the chance to have dinner there the other day, and I must say, it’s a nice place. I had the pasta, the chicken, and a glass of wine — overall, a good experience. That said, it could have been elevated a bit. I didn’t receive the bread, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar that you usually get at Italian restaurants. Still, it’s a decent spot.

Esquires - The Organic Coffee Co (O'Connell St)
Dublin
12/05/2025: The best cappuccino I've had in Dublin
01/05/2025: Good quality coffee, delicious croissants, we liked it, thank you 🙏🏻
Coffee is absolutely large even if you order medium size
