The best restaurants in Dublin

22/01/2026: Very good restaurant with free parking outside. The prices are lower than in other camiles, the taste is also better, maybe because it has it’s own owner. Girl Niha at checkout is very kind and helpful. I enjoyed talking to her.

14/12/2025: Old, cosy traditional pub, with genuinely nice staff (shout out to young dark haired bartender who had the patience of a saint). Great buzzy atmosphere. Will call again!

05/12/2025: The Lord Edward made it onto my “Dublin Pub Crawl” list thanks to a bartender at the Guinness Gravity Bar who swore it had a great pint of Guinness and insisted we check out the upstairs. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the upstairs was closed. Still no idea what is up there or why it was recommended. This is a small pub with a unique bar layout and plenty of age behind it. And by “age,” I mean it has not seen a remodel in a very, very long time. The men’s room is basically just a wall with a drain on the floor (which I found highly amusing), and according to the bartenders, the women’s bathroom used to be a broom closet that was converted once women were allowed into pubs. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how much this place has changed over the years. Very authentic and cool in its own way. We stopped in late on a Thursday night. The crowd was wrapping up, so we managed two rounds before last call. The bartenders signal last call the old school way, by flicking the lights on and off. Gave me a good laugh. As for the pint… it was okay. One bartender knew what he was doing and poured a proper Guinness. The other poured it the way Americans do when they have no idea what they are doing, and he did it consistently. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Lord Edward and got plenty of laughs out of the whole experience. The company was great and the pub absolutely has character. Now, if we can only get that one bartender on board with pouring Guinness correctly… We still want to know what is upstairs.

11/02/2026: Perfect bar for a pint of Guinness. It cost us €7.20 (as of February 2026). A beautiful and peaceful place.

11/01/2026: Kong Pao chicken was basically soup and overspiced to the point I just could not eat it -- and I eat just about anything! Very disappointing as I was anticipating a succulent Chinese meal.

30/08/2025: Very disappointed, very high price, no interest or flavor. Like, €3.30 is impossible for a Happy Hippo donut without filling. So, these guys are selling a simple donut with icing (an industrial decoration) for €3.30. Nonsense. What a rip-off!

21/08/2025: In my opinion, these are the best donuts in Dublin, despite the slightly higher prices compared to the competition. Another big plus is that the shop participates in the Too Good to Go program, so you can pick up a six-pack of donuts for just €6 in the evening, and they still taste great.

07/01/2026: Waiter profiled my friend (who was visiting Dublin from America) and accused him of selling drugs which he absolutely was NOT. Shocking and unprofessional. I won’t be supporting a business who makes outrageous assumptions about people based on their appearance and doesn’t listen to reason, making baseless accusations. He said that my friend was seen selling drugs 10 minutes before in the pub when he had only just walked in 3 minutes before.

16/01/2026: Me and my partner got off the bus and decided to go in here for a drink, Got sat down and we just ordered 2 Guinness. The waitress pulled her face and made a weird noise and grabbed the menu off our table like we did somthing wrong. Wouldn't reccomend this place waitresses looked like they didnt want be there absolutely miserable

13/01/2026: The restaurant only has a pleasant atmosphere. Nothing more. I don't recommend it. If there are two of you, you both need to order one dish. No sharing or just drinking.

19/10/2025: Great Service and price. Vegetarian, vegan and glutenfree friendly. Would recommend if you are looking for an affordable lunch or breakfast menu.

04/10/2025: Great place for some good light lunch bites, friendly staff, fairly cheap, buzzing atmosphere, food was delicious and quite varied in the range of menu items. I'd definitely recommend a trip in here if you fancy a coffee and a chat or a light bite. I'll be returning.
