Dall'Italiano
Dublin
05/04/2026: I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant, and it was easily the highlight of my trip to Dublin.
From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel incredibly welcome. The owner, who is also the chef, is absolutely sensational! His passion for his craft is evident, and he is one of the kindest and most personable hosts I have ever met. It’s rare to find such a warm, authentic connection in a restaurant these days.
As for the food, it was truly exceptional, honestly the best Italian meal I have ever had. Every dish was prepared to perfection, bursting with authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients.
If you are in Dublin and looking for a dining experience that combines world-class food with genuine, friendly service, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
05/04/2026: Authentic Italian food! Pastas, risottos, delicious! Good portion sizes as well! I was too hungry - ate two mains! Atmosphere is calm/relaxed, with quiet Italian music playing in the background! It’s a place for people to connect and communicate! Highly recommend for people looking for authentic Italian food!

Rasam
Dublin
05/05/2026: Meal was good, service less so.
05/05/2026: Excellent food. I had a full sea bass, boned at the table, with a delightful curry flavour for my main. My partner had the vegetarian platter which was also great, tho I preferred mine! And the prawn starter and panacotta dessert were both delicious. A bottle of house wine and the bill was €130 including tip. As cheap or cheaper than Daata and for me the food is definitely better. Will be back.

I Monelli
Dublin
05/05/2026: We booked for 6:30 pm and the restaurant was still quiet when we arrived. The service was very attentive and kind, the place is beautifully decorated, and the food came quickly. The portions are just right (neither too big nor too small) and the pappardelle venison was absolutely fabulous! I’d love to come back and try more of the menu.
05/05/2026: Delicious food (great ragù) and a nice and warm atmosphere. The service was very attentive and friendly!

Daniel's
Dublin
02/04/2026: Daniels is an absolutely world class! The scallops in the cream sauce and the lobster bisque are a must get. Plus getting to talk to the chef himself about his travels and extensive wine knowledge is a treat.
02/04/2026: Amazing food and amazing chef! I really enjoyed all the dishes we had, especially knowing how personal the food and wine menu is for Daniel. My personal favorite is the scallops which is INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS!

The Little Kitchen
Dublin
11/04/2026: Had an absolutely gorgeous meal here. It was very last minute as we were staying round the corner and needed somewhere to eat, quite late, but what a little gem this place is. We were greeted and served by Phil, he was warm, welcoming, friendly and really attentive. The short rib beef was incredible! Definitely worth a visit!
From your new friends, from London & Manchester!
09/04/2026: Terrific little place. Food was absolutely spot on. Presentation, flavour, utterly flawless. Service was great, friendly and professional without being pretentious or overly fussy. It's quite a small place with a couple of bigger groups dining when we arrived. This added to the ambience but didn't detract from us having a cosy intimate meal. Great selection from the menu, wine list is simple and Considered. Highly recommend dining here if you're staying locally.

La Caverna
Dublin
11/05/2026: Good vegan or vegetarian options. Atmosphere is so comfortable. Had best time on our firat anniversary. Kris and Darius were great at their service. Our evening was made very special. Thank you
11/05/2026: Food was phenomenal, got the Caesar salad, garlic bread and the burrata pasta dish. All of that was amazing. Gave the food 4 stars because we ordered a cheesecake to go and got back to our hotel and for 14 € it was the worst cheesecake I’ve ever had. Service was good except at the end we had to wait quite a while for our check. Overall would recommend this place to someone looking for a good “Italian” dish here in Dublin.

Chapter One
Dublin
07/05/2026: Lovely atmosphere and amazing service but unfortunately the taste did not impress. Even though plates looked well the food did not blend well. Had a nice negroni and the Guinness bread was unique.
30/04/2026: staff were unbelievably lovely and made us feel very comfortable, food was divine - delicious little works of art! definitely did not go hungry but also didn't feel disgustingly full after. such a great combination of flavours all around and from the chef's table the kitchen staff actually looked like they were having a nice time which is a good sign for a restaurant.

Lovinspoon
Dublin
13/12/2025: Amazing breakfast and friendly welcoming staff. Coffee was impressive, toast was massive, sausages out of this world. Came on the strength of their google rating, it is well deserved!
08/12/2025: My first, but DEFINITELY not my last, time in this joyous oasis of calm in a very frisky part of Dublin. (Artwork, both hanging & sculpture, is so beautifully curated and personal, btw, that it is a big part of the experience).
I had the full Irish breakfast made to my personal specifications with no fuss whatsoever (apart from my own).
When I changed my mind about the pot of tea, it was removed from both my bill and from my table! (Now that's class! 😎).
The orange juice (and indeed apple, I did notice) is high-end pre-bottled, and served to one's preferred temperatures.
Staff were uniformly kind and warm, as WELL as attentive and genuine.
The owner/proprietor is obviously a gentleman.
As previously stated, I do indeed intend to be back for this "breakfast of kings" (which actually served as my own breakfast/my late lunch AND as my early dinner, so generous were the portions on what was a very busy day).
Amazingly: MANY other types of foods/meals/snacks/sandwiches/cakes/etc. are also available here! 😲
N.B.: Tem atendiamento em português 🇧🇷 também! 😎
PS.: "NOTA DEEEEEEZZZzzzz" (na voz do Carlos Impérial)!

Dax
Dublin
06/05/2026: Bizarre meal, service was professional but overbearing and favored posh customers to the point they forgot about us towards the end, not a-lot of room to enjoy the food between being asked if we enjoyed it.
Food was aggressively salted with inconsistent seasoning outside of the salt. Flavor pairings were brave but misplaced, the fish was not remotely fresh and a touch overcooked. Venison salted like they wanted to keep the devil out. Had a side that tasted like bacon coleslaw from an American sports bar. Wine list was huge and had some good choices.
Seating was jambed into a place that needed more thought on the layout and design.
More akin to a place you pop in for an upscale meal than one you place a special occasional reservation at. All together a disappointing show from a highly regarded establishment.
26/04/2026: We had lunch at Dax and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful, polished, and genuinely welcoming.
The wine was a standout—an exquisite Riesling from Alsace that completely won me over. It was beautifully balanced, not overly acidic, and incredibly smooth. It’s safe to say I’m now a convert.
What impressed us most, though, was how attentive and accommodating the team was with our dietary needs. My husband avoids flour and sugar, and I’m lactose intolerant, gluten- and wheat-free, and don’t eat meat. The staff handled this with such care and professionalism, always making sure I knew exactly what I could eat and how each dish would be adapted. It never felt like an inconvenience to them—quite the opposite.
The food itself was exceptional. The roasted potatoes were absolutely unforgettable, and the halibut was so light and fluffy we initially thought it had been steamed—it was that delicate and perfectly prepared.
Service was impeccable throughout. The chef even came out to greet guests, which added a personal touch that made the experience feel even more special. We noticed every table receiving the same level of attention, with guests being warmly guided out and engaged in friendly conversation as they left.
Dax delivers not just excellent food and wine, but a truly memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Chez Max
Dublin
14/04/2026: We stopped for a drink. The staff were lovely and helpful.
12/04/2026: Chez Max is a very good little French restaurant that's a welcome sight when you arrive in unfamiliar territory, even though I enjoy Irish food! The service is truly excellent (in French) and the cuisine is refined. I recommend it for those who want to discover French cuisine in Dublin and for French people missing their favorite dishes.
