24/01/2026: A really excellent lunch at Dax in the heart of Dublin city centre. From start to finish, everything felt thoughtful, calm and effortlessly professional. I began with the beef tartare, which was beautifully fresh and perfectly balanced — classic flavours done with confidence. The fish of the day was outstanding, cooked exactly right and served with clean, seasonal accompaniments that let the quality of the ingredients shine. Dessert was the lemon tart, sharp, light and refreshing, a great way to finish. Service was warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming -we were very well looked after without ever feeling rushed. Dax continues to live up to its reputation for fine food and consistency. A fantastic spot for lunch, and one we’ll definitely return to.

23/12/2025: Stunning restaurant. Group Christmas lunch but you wouldn’t know it from the quality of the food. Great selection and large generous portions. Excellent Christmas cheer atmosphere and superb service. Highly recommend.

07/02/2026: Amazing birthday dinner ! Myself and two friends ate here and had such a lovely evening. Staff were the perfect level of attentive and food was absolutely delicious. The manager found out it was my birthday and insisted on bringing something on the house (he offered drinks, baileys, dessert - all of which we said we didn’t need. He eventually brought a delicious chocolate mousse cake). He also remembered my friend from when she had celebrated her doctorate graduation there a year before and congratulated her again. Such a lovely experience, we’ll be back !

02/02/2026: 5 of us ate here New Year's Eve, often a tricky evening for restaurants, but everything was excellent. Will definitely be back soon.

30/01/2026: I Monelli is a fantastic place. The food is really very good, with great flavours and well-prepared dishes. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal or a nice evening out. What truly stands out is the staff: they are extremely friendly and attentive, and they can speak three different languages, which makes the whole experience even better and more comfortable. Highly recommended — I would definitely come back.

30/01/2026: This restaurant is phenomenal. I went for lunch on a Friday and, considering the amount of food and incredibly high quality of it, I think it’s well priced. Declan was my server and he was just brilliant. Very attentive whilst also made everything look and feel effortless. The canapés were some of the best I’ve had in fine dining restaurants and the rhubarb dessert was so clever I am not a dessert person usually but this is one of the best I’ve had and would certainly convert me to the sweet side. I’ve been lucky to dine at many Michelin restaurants and this one is up there.

25/01/2026: We saved up for this and absolutely loved the food and service. The atmosphere was only affected by other guests who were completely disinterested in the experience spending time constantly on their phones or moaning. When you've saved up for an experience like this it really brings the tone down.

18/02/2026: IN my experience, the best cooking in Dublin. Every meal represents a sublime culinary experience. Thank you for making last night such a special evening with out 90 year old friend. The best Caesar salad I have ever tasted. Everything we ordered was outstanding. Thank you Daniel for taking such care and making it so special.

15/02/2026: What a really great spot. I have been meaning to try this gem of a dining experience for some time and finally got around to it. I regret not going sooner. Sumptuous well cooked and presented dishes of ample portions. The side dishes were certainly not outshone by the superb mains. We had the duck and lamb shank which were both tender and delicious. Special mention for twice cooked potatoes as a side which are a standout. The really relaxed atmosphere was complemented by the extremely attentive and personable host the eponymous Daniel whose personal touch and friendly informality makes you feel as if you have known him for years. He is always on hand to explain each dish and what complements it best and to guide diners towards the most suitable wines pairings. In the desserts the unique deep fried ice cream is a must and the bread and butter pudding also has an interesting backstory. This restaurant is old style in all the best ways, good hearty quality food, classic setting and the personal touch that is rarely found these days.

11/01/2026: Amazing food. A very attentive service. Great recommendations. The lamb was divine. The prawn risotto was delicious. The goat cheese salad … nothing was wrong. Will be coming back for sure!

24/02/2026: I came here for dinner by myself while I was traveling. It was really pleasant! I had made a reservation, which seems recommendable for dinner time. All of the workers were very friendly and charming, the food was delicious and everything came out pretty quickly. I had mushroom soup and venison. The portions were good, the meal came with fresh bread and butter. Drink options were also nice, a good variety of everything you'd want. They gave me a complimentary Bailey's at the end of the meal, which was highly appreciated! Overall it was a nice time. I would go back. It was really good seasonal, fresh food and a nice atmosphere to sit and eat, the staff made it very comfortable and pleasant as a solo guest, but it's also I'm sure a great space for dates, family, holiday or birthday celebrations because it feels very cozy and relaxed but a bit special too.

22/02/2026: One of our best dining experiences in Dublin in a long time. We were so well looked after by Ross, Lyn & team - very friendly and professional. Every detail of the food was outstanding, from the oysters to the roast to even the bread & butter. They were very accomodating to all alergy requests and made some great wine recommendations. We cant wait to return with family and friends!

25/02/2026: ⸻ Lunch at Uno Mas was excellent. I started with the scallops – cold, refreshing and really fresh. Zesty, garlicky, and well balanced. A great starter that didn’t feel too heavy or too small. For the main I had the Barnsley chop with a side of cabbage. The cabbage honestly stole the show – charred perfectly and finished with a sauce that felt far more Michelin than “side dish”. It was gone before I’d even taken a second bite of the lamb. The chop was cooked medium as recommended and absolutely melt-in-the-mouth. My only complaint was the knife was blunt, which made cutting it awkward at first, but the meat itself was spot on and full of flavour. Overall a fantastic lunch, well worth the money. 22/02/2026: Squid was one of the best I had in Ireland. Peppers were standard, Steak took over 45 minutes to come it’s good, but not amazing. Desserts were nice but towards the end it was overwhelmingly sweet

24/01/2026: Went here for my birthday and the atmosphere is unreal, I would recommend sitting downstairs for the full experience. The food was a perfect fine dining experience imo. I had the lasagne, followed by the chocolate brownie cake & sorbet. The waiter presented me a rose and a glass of prosecco, will definitely come back
