03/11/2025: Take it from the Old Guy from Spain, call ahead to make a booking because this wonderful Italian restaurant operated by the Guy from Palermo often has so many customers that he posts a "no seating without advance booking" sign. Don't miss the wonderful Italian dining experience. I'll be back in 3 - 4 weeks and you know I'll have my advanced booking!

30/11/2025: The restaurant is clean and hygienic but the interior colors are very dark and dark - we asked the waiter what is in the mango curry and he said there is mango - no information - the food is delicious but the starter sold for 20e for two people has 1 piece of 5 tagne products how can it be for two people? The portions are small and expensive to me

20/11/2025: My new favourite restaurant in Dublin! The food was full of flavour. So so delicious. Staff was incredibly welcoming and very knowledgeable about the menu. I loved knowing details about the cooking process and ingredients used. Great atmosphere. Felt a little cramped as was there on a romantic date but overall a 5 star experience. Will definitely be dining here again! Also the best creme brulee out there!

13/11/2025: It’s definitely been one of the best Christmas dinners I have had so far! The ambience was great, service was outstanding, food and wine were exquisite. Every bite was just so good and the service was so so good! 💛 Hats off to everyone behind the scene!!!

02/12/2025: We had such a lovely evening at I Monelli. The restaurant was full, yet Matteo and Giuseppe took care of us with incredible attention. We felt welcomed, seen, and genuinely looked after the whole time. The location is beautiful: right on the canal in Portobello, super quiet and peaceful, but still a few steps away from Dublin’s nightlife. The food was excellent. We tried the truffle flan (absolutely delicious) and the broccoli and salmon pasta, which was perfectly balanced in flavour. They also offer vegetarian and gluten-free options, which is a huge plus. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in Dublin. Ciao from Sardinia! Thank you for such a warm experience. We’ll definitely be back

30/11/2025: We had a really nice dinner at I Monelli. The Xmas set menu is simple but delicious, with the real taste of Italy. My husband had the scarmoza for starter and the sauce was to die for. I had a (giant) platter of the most fresh procciuto with honey and focaccia. For main I had the mushroom tagliatelle, and he ordered the venison ragu, witch was the best I've had since my grandma's cooking (highly recommended). The montepulciano wine was a great match and the tiramisu was lovely. Really looking forward to come back.

21/11/2025: My wife and I have been blessed with lots of travel and experiencing amazing places to eat. Chapter One may be the best dining experience we have ever had. From the ambience to the service to the food to the wine pairing, the word gobsmacked comes to mind. We were with a bunch of friends and the entire experience was amazing for all. I cannot say enough except, GO! Congrats to the entire team there, absolutely superb!!

15/11/2025: Fine dining done right. Calm atmosphere, attentive service, and beautifully crafted dishes. Every course feels thoughtful rather than overcomplicated. Pricey, but worth it if you enjoy a refined experience. A great place for a special occasion.

The nigiri tastes fresh, clean, and carefully prepared, with each piece showing good balance between texture and flavor. Their katsu curry is rich, comforting, and full of character, with a crisp coating that holds up beautifully against the smooth curry sauce. It is the kind of dish that makes you want to return sooner than planned. One of the most impressive things is how well they accommodate people with celiac needs. The team handles requests with confidence and care, and they offer safe options that still feel thoughtful and delicious, something that can be surprisingly hard to find. Overall, Zakura combines great food with genuine hospitality, turning a simple meal into a memorable outing.

20/11/2025: I should have written this review before. Daniel's is a charming little place with well cooked delicious food. The owner will happily chat with customers about food, wine and his travels. They have some great menu items and some very interesting crockery from Daniel's trips to Africa. Of particular note is the set menu which offers great value for money. If you haven't been don't hesitate just book it: you will be glad you did. Thanks again to Daniel and staff
