The best restaurants in Dublin

28/05/2025: The sushi tasted great, my 1st time to have a good sushi in Ireland. The service wasn't the best, not bad though. Maybe because I went there early around 4 PM. The mixed platter option was so nice to try different bites.

11/04/2025: I was in this restaurant for a short visit to downtown Dublin on a business trip. Given my arrival time I thought I could not find a place open for lunch (it was about 2.00 in the afternoon) and instead, I was amazed that the kitchen was open regularly. I ate the fish soup and the fish and chips, the latter the best I have eaten in recent years, better than those tried in the UK. Fantastic the waitress or the owner, originally from Eastern Europe but that gave me a nice culinary journey in Irish traditions. Highly recommended considering that next door is also the Tample Bar which is an icon of Irish live music.

12/05/2025: Great unpretentious vibe, terrific food, attentive service. The potted crab was one of the best appetizers ever! We both had the black angus strip loin for an entree. It was high quality and perfectly prepared. The bread and butter pudding is worth a trip in and of itself. A very satisfying first dinner in Dublin!

09/05/2025: This small restaurant by the River Liffey is decorated in a very Irish style. It gets quite busy when the weather is nice, and the prices are great. They offer a variety of set meals in the morning and at lunch, including Irish breakfast and potato cakes — all super tasty!

21/04/2025: Had a great trip home to Dublin and stopped into Ryans on Good Friday for a proper steak. My partner had the chicken dish, which was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. I went for the 500g striploin, asking for it to be cut narrow and thick—like a New York strip, which is my preference. They absolutely nailed it. The steak was perfectly cooked and they made the effort to find a cut that matched what I was after, which I really appreciated. Paired it with a lovely Malbec that worked perfectly with the beef. Top tip get the deviled kidneys starter Our server—a Hungarian gentleman whose name I didn’t catch, was excellent: attentive, friendly, and clearly knew his stuff. We got chatting about dessert wines and he brought out a bottle that wasn’t even listed on the menu. A 2016 Château Laville Sauternes, and it was exactly what I was looking for—spot on. The dining room is warm, cosy, and full of old-school charm. Ryans has a real character to it. The bar downstairs is part of the same place and just adds to the experience. It’s a stone’s throw from the Guinness Brewery, and the pints there are some of the freshest and best you’ll find. If you’re in Dublin and in the mood for a great steak in a proper setting, Ryans is absolutely worth a visit.

11/05/2025: It was my first time at a Malaysian restaurant and I enjoyed the cuisine. I tried one of the Nasi Lemak dishes with Rendang Beef. The service delivery was pleasant. I arrived with a friend at about 5pm and it was quite scanty, but as the night drew nearer, more customers arrived and were all chatty. Noise level was moderate as we could still hear ourselves. The prices were also fair for the quality of food, in my assessment. The washroom area was neat enough as well. I was carried away with conversations and did not take any photos.

10/05/2025: Nasi goreng telor is so tasty😋, I also like the squid with green kangkung vegetable with a bit spicy, perfect....... The tofu so good, crispy and soft..... Service was fast and good, friendly and helpful staff Great location, easy to in and out Affordable price for each dish

18/05/2025: Cozy atmosphere. Excellent ndujia chicken wing, must try!!! Delicious pizza, especially fourcheese & spicy ones. Sausage pasta is a bit salty but overall is ok.

23/02/2025: Expérience décevante, la nourriture servie était très salée, les légumes semblent venir d'une conserve (aucun croquant, aucune tenue) et le poisson issu du grill japonais était bien trop cuit. Ca doit être une bonne adresse pour déjeuner à midi mais pas pour dîner. Pour les groupes, l'avantage est que la carte offre un large choix de maki, sushis, nouilles, udon, grill...

30/04/2025: The food here is simply amazing. A really good menu and all of our food was simply superb. From the focaccia to incredible, wafer-thin carpaccio to a delicious meat and pasta dish. Everyone else at our table was equally happy and the service was excellent. Plus the most beautiful view from our table. We will be back again and again.

04/05/2025: I visited yesterday and was warmly welcomed by Mr. Prem at the reception. His polite and friendly approach made us feel really good. We ordered the Paneer Tikka Biryani and the Chicken Tikka Combo — the biryani was spot on! He also offered us complimentary mango lassi, which was a lovely surprise. Will definitely be coming back again!
