The best restaurants in Dublin

19/03/2025: I love Daniel’s restaurant. I was walking pass it, decided to head up for dinner. Had the best dinner and went again the following day. His dishes were perfectly handcrafted. Chat with some of his customers. The environment was great. Perfect dinner place. Made the trip to Ireland so great. He knows the best pairing.

30/12/2024: We visited Daniels restaurant last night for the time and was greeted by Daniel, he welcomed us like old friends. You could tell Daniel has a passion for food in the way he described the dishes we ordered, even after 50 years of being a chef. Food was fabulous and flavours were outstanding. It was a quite night in-between the bustle of Christmas and new year's eve and Daniel took time to chat with us and has great stories to share. So we enjoyed the food as much as the company. We will certainly return again.

19/03/2025: It unfortunately did not live up to the hype. We booked a table for six people and apparently that meant that we were limited only to the chef's menu. The staff said a warning about this is on their website, but I still cannot find it. The atmosphere is quite lovely and the wines were delicious, but the food was lacking. The burrata with the tomatoes was yummy and the crab tostadas surprisingly fresh. The Pumpkin Cappellacci was delicous, but the lamb ragu was very forgettable. The ribeye was cooked well, but lacked seasoning and felt like a very cheap cut with little flavour. My friends' sole was extremely salty. The sides were also a big disappointment, with the broccoletto being so tough that I needed my steak knife to cut through it and the salad fell flat. The potatoes were okay. The tiramisu I got at the end was really good. I do have to mention that the chef's menu said that each pair could pick two sides, but when we were trying to order, we were told not to and that they would bring everything. Apparently that meant bringing all three sides twice, which was very much not what we wanted, so I have no idea why they would just assume that this was okay without asking or explaining. They did fix this when we complained, but we did get some weird looks from the staff. Overall, I found the experience to be lacking, especially for the price point. Please be aware that for large groups, you can only get the chef's menu and be very specific about ordering the sides you want. Not sure if I will be returning, but if I do, it will be in a much smaller party, so I can actually order the things I want to try.

14/04/2025: Nice bar. Typical irish bar, many beers, where you can find the best guinnes of ireland, no music, and good atmosphere, good if you wanna spend time and talk.

30/03/2025: Nice spot in rathmines for some lunch. Staff are inattentive, but they are very young and could do with someone more mature supervising. Food is good quality. It had a makeover recently but I personally preferred it as it was. Very good value for money.

02/04/2025: If you eat in one restaurant in Dublin eat here. I work and eat in Italy & all over Europe but Lucky enough to live locally to Grano. Simply wonderful. Amazing food, amazing staff, relaxed atmosphere. Book early ! 🥰

01/04/2025: Loved it. Awesome pasta, excellent wine menu and a beautiful ambiance with efficient and friendly service. Grano is a great treat that offers an really special experience at an affordable price. I recomeit to everyone and am already planning my next trip :)

28/03/2025: I had a stunning dinner with my sister and mam on Thursday. We sat outside and the staff were kind enough to give us hot water bottles. The food was flavoursome, vibrant and quick to come out. The produce is always amazing here and the staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. I wish I knew the name of the people who looked after us because they made our experience even that bit more enjoyable.

12/04/2025: Food is so delicious and full of so much flavor. Love the spices and taste of the Belacan and the buttery prawns. Their squid is also cooked to perfection. The staff is so friendly and we’re always refilling my water. The decor is great and cute and I felt comfortable dining. They have an extensive menu and you can’t go wrong.

05/04/2025: A very cute and fresh place. The staff is quite friendly. We tried the macchiato, latte, and vegan roll. The flavors were good. The vegan roll tasted a bit spicy to us. It’s definitely an ideal spot for breakfast or a coffee break. Plus, the prices are quite reasonable. You should give it a try!

11/04/2025: Came here for lunch. The octopus and beans was delicious and charred perfectly. The Piri Piri chicken also grilled to perfection, and sauce is quite spicy. The leaves side is a wholesome combination of lettuces (I just wished the cut the leaves down a little more).

05/04/2025: My hubbie and I had dinner last night at Mister S, with long standing couple friends. The food was so good, incredible value. Service was friendly and prompt. We had a bottle of Sauv. blanc for €41, fresh, perfectly balanced, zesty. I had chicken piri piri, and the others the steak. Sides of carrots, potatoes and salad. Everything was excellent.

05/04/2025: The bar is really nice with the dancers and the music! The food is far from perfect: they don't ask for the meat to be cooked (resulting in it being way overcooked), and the burger is very standard, nothing special. They "offer" you a tip for almost €10 more than the bill, which is hard to say no when they're putting a bit of pressure on you :/ too bad.
