31/03/2025: Great food, great service, great atmosphere - what more could you want? We followed other Trip Advisor reviews as we were in the hotel next door - and we just couldn't walk any further. The wife's face when we walked in spoke a thousand words. Looks like the type of place where the piano stops playing and all the locals stop talking and glare at you. Don't be put off it isn't like that at all and the wife really warmed to the place. More authentic than a lot of the other 'authentic' pubs advertised in Dublin.

06/04/2025: The moment you walk by, the wonderful aroma pulls you in. Even if there’s a long line, don’t worry—the staff is super fast and efficient. You’ll be enjoying what might be the best ice cream in Dublin in just five minutes. Mint chocolate was my favorite

04/04/2025: One of my personal favorite FX Buckley locations. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is by far the best you'll find in dublin. I personally recommend the ribeye and the barrel and bone cocktail, they never disappoint

06/04/2025: Worst ever visit in the restaurant. The timing says 9 PM closing but actually they are closing 1.45 hr early. If this is the case why can’t restaurant keep this info on their website and not just misguide their customers with timings. Pathetic and this is second time.

06/04/2025: Extremely neglected by the cashier at the front desk. Today, I went to eat at this buffet and was the first in line at the door. Then, a bunch of people arrived after me and walked straight in. So I followed them inside to queue properly. When it was finally my turn, the woman at the front desk told me she needed to seat a “reserved” table first and asked me to step aside and wait. I was there with my children, and we waited and waited. Meanwhile, many people who were behind me in line came in saying things like, “I need a table for three,” or “We’re four,” and she just seated them right away. I asked her politely, “Should I come back later or…?” She gave an awkward smile and ignored me. Completely ignored me. Eventually, almost everyone behind me had been seated, and I was still standing there with my kids. I stayed calm and told her, “I don’t want to make trouble, but are you being racist?” And unbelievably, her response was that all of them had reservations. That is a blatant lie — none of them mentioned any reservation or even gave their names. This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Absolutely unacceptable. We will never go back again.

10/04/2025: A great find. Great atmosphere & service . Leave room to try the Bread & Butter pudding for dessert the best I've ever tasted. The main meals are great too by the way.

23/03/2025: Went for corporate drinks with large groups. Snacks served were nice. Nicest bar wine I've ever had. Especially the Malbec. Nice bar atmosphere but a slight bit crampy in a cornered off area. Staff didn't know were not aware of corporate reservation and had to say name 5x before someone copped on.

17/03/2025: Very off putting to have a guy in the toilet hassling you for tips when he gives you kitchen roll for drying your hands even if you say no thanks. Not sure why they allow this in their toilets.

31/03/2025: Expectations were high, but unfortunately, this restaurant is yet another tourist trap that has little Italian authenticity beyond its name and part of the staff. We ordered pasta, but the quality was highly questionable. The dishes had nothing truly Italian about them, from the choice of ingredients to the flavor combinations. I’m not sure if it was just a coincidence, but that evening, we were the only Italians there—unlike many other higher-quality restaurants in Dublin, which are also frequented by Italians. This place seems more like a trap for tourists and locals. The only positive note was the cocktails and the atmosphere, but not enough to justify the cost. If you're looking for a real Italian experience, look elsewhere.

29/03/2025: ⸻ I had high expectations for Osteria Lucio, but unfortunately, the pasta was a big letdown. It’s far from authentic Italian, lacking flavor, and nowhere near what you’d expect from a place that claims to bring real Italian cuisine to Dublin. Given that they’re listed in the Michelin Guide, I find it quite questionable. On top of that, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. It genuinely felt like they turned off the heating to encourage us to leave, as we were among the last four tables there. Not exactly the warm and welcoming atmosphere you’d hope for. That being said, the cocktails were well-made and enjoyable, so if you’re just stopping by for drinks, it might be worth a visit. But if you’re looking for real Italian food and a comfortable dining experience, there are far better options in Dublin.

27/03/2025: Went with my niece. Staying at Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. I am home from Vancouver on holiday. Appetizer was fine. My nieces dish seemed OK. I ordered Red Duck, it seems that the cook had used the remains of a duck, like a carcass to make this dish. I could not eat it as the meat/ duck was fatty with grizzly bad tasting meat. I asked the waitress to look into this. She did not. On leaving, I spoke with the Owner. None of this meal was either replaced or refunded. I paid full price for a meal that was inedible. Would never eat here again. Very poor, disappointing experience

01/03/2025: Coincidentally just parked in front of Lilliput, didn't know what the place was so went in. I was quite intrigued to see different types of fresh and organic produce and a variety of interesting products. Had a Vietnamese iced coffee and hor chocolate, both excellent. The place has a lovely vibe, and I will certainly visit again.

28/03/2025: Disappointing experience here. The tables were cramped, everyone forced to sit closely to each other in the small front area of the restaurant, while a large area of the restaurant with ample seating was "closed off" for unknown reasons. My starter was burned and my main was very bland, even though I asked for it to be made spicy. The staff were standoffish and appeared very rushed. Would not recommend.

16/04/2025: Great sweets and savory foods, but the service is upsetting, the staff are always grumpy and have no respect for the customer. I gave up buying there just because of the service.

15/04/2025: It's expensive—the products are pricey and the taste doesn't always justify it. The environment is nice, clean, and the service is friendly. We ordered the "xis" on a plate and the regular "xis." They were good (although the bacon was very hard) and nicely presented, but nothing that justifies the high price. On the other hand, the pastry sold at the counter was old; the dough was hard.
