The best restaurants in Dublin

16/07/2025: Absolutely incredible experience! The food was bursting with flavor, we ordered both stews and the portions were very generous. Around 8 PM a live music show began, featuring amazing traditional Irish music that created such a vibrant atmosphere. Later, around 10 PM, we were treated to a fantastic Irish dance performance that was truly unforgettable. The service was also outstanding: fast, attentive, and every member of the staff was warm and friendly. I really recomendado this place

15/07/2025: Ordered the Guinness stake pie it was on the menu the waiter told us it had been taken off checked menu online and outside both said Guinness steak pie they gave us some sort of casserole with very little meat manly all vegetables won’t be back if not serving steak pie should be taken off the menu

15/07/2025: Another Gem of a pub. The clientele are great fun, the staff are up there with the best in the city, the drink is as good as you can get. Great to be in a proper well run pub. Its also as clean as my mothers cKitchen (and thats clean)

22/06/2025: Exceptional Italian food with incredibly warm and courteous staff. We had the Big Lucio ("Eat like an Italian") which gave us a taste of dishes across the menu, including the centrepiece dish of "Suckling Pig Shoulder Al Forno", which was perfectly tender and flavoursome with a delicious crispy crackling skin. Each part of our meal, from starter to drinks, were tended to by a whole team of professional staff, with the wonderful front of house Paulo ensuring we were being looked after at all times. We will certainly be coming back to Osteria Lucio, and we will be bringing friends and family for sure.

16/06/2025: Delicious pre-theatre meal for two here over the weekend. After an initial fumble where we were directed to a tiny table wedged into a corner almost under the bar, very close to an occupied table of 6 in a half empty restaurant, the service thereafter was excellent. I asked for another table "with a bit more space" and was guided towards one after a slight delay. The quality of food is unquestionable. The arancini were very good and the Ragu was one of the best slow cooked meals my dining partner had ever tasted. The ravioli was also perfectly made, perfectly cooked and delicious. A side of delicious sourdough was the perfect scoop for the pasta sauce. Excellent Italian food served in a comfortable environment (even when the place got very busy) by experienced, attentive and efficient staff - what's not to love? We'll definitely be back.

14/06/2025: i went into the circular with pure joy. the atmosphere was amazing with the music the people and the workers. i ordered a coke zero and got served by a lovely young man called denise he kept me accompanied and made me feel welcome. amazing service

13/06/2025: Was here with a bunch of friends for the table quiz. Food was amazing from the pizza hatch. Atmosphere was great...despite some barky dogs but that's to be expected in a dog friendly pub. Service at the bar was pretty terrible as staff really didn't seem too interested in serving customers. They ran out of Corona and then Peroni by 8pm on a Wednesday! Overall a good spot though.

12/07/2025: Excellent experience and food. My first time there and everything was perfect. Service is top class. The food is delicious and the place is impeccable. Definitely returning for some sushi.

15/06/2025: Great stop in for a few pints on a Sat night. Seemed like a diverse group of people enjoying the live music, not just tourists. Wasn't a rowdy bar like others on the street. Seems like a great place to hang out with your party and listen to music.

28/05/2025: Decent pub experience. Meaning you order drinks and pay at the bar. The only food available is a "toastie" (grilled ham and cheese sandwich). Nice interior and the place has some history. Narrow inside, but it goes back through three different areas. Standard barman service, but reasonably friendly. They have live music on certain nights.

25/07/2025: Buzzing place in South Dublin. Extensive menu, something for everyone. Nice staff, very welcoming. Runs a thin line between pub and restaurant but I think that they get it right. I wish them well. Gig venue upstairs as well so it’s got it all

18/07/2025: Just finished eating dinner in The Purty Kitchen. Firstly top marks to Ailish for excellent service and customer connection. Sadly we did not feel the same with regards to the food. The fish and chips were just ok but it was the Tofu burger that really made me write this review. It just didn't work at all. Maybe if the tofu was served on a flatbread and the avocado served sliced it might have been better. I'm a long term vegetarian and really look forward to eating out but on this occasion I was disappointed with my dinner. We also had the strawberry dessert which once again was overly complicated . We love the setting and atmosphere of The Purty Kitchen and it's lovely staff but feel a little more attention is need to aspects of the menu.

08/07/2025: Scholars Pub serves delicious food at a fair price, and the menu is relatively extensive for a pub. There's also a wide selection of drinks. The atmosphere is inviting, and I'd be happy to return.

28/07/2025: Staff were great, food was absolutely delicious, we tried their own stout as recommended, which was nice, bit of coffee aftertaste, but a bit lighter than Guinness. Overall great experience, would highly recommend!

24/07/2025: I visited The Bridge 1859 for lunch on July 17th and was really disappointed with my meal. I ordered the vegan burger, but the bread it was served on was clearly stale — so stale I couldn’t eat it and had to leave it on the plate. As I was with a group, I didn’t want to make a fuss at the time, so I emailed the pub afterwards to share my feedback privately and give them a chance to respond. And I haven’t even received an apology or any reply at all. I had heard good things about this venue, so I was surprised by the lack of care for something as basic as fresh bread — and even more disappointed by the lack of any response or apology. It feels like they don’t respect their vegan customers enough to make sure the food is fresh or to acknowledge valid feedback. I work nearby but unfortunately won’t be returning anytime soon.

16/07/2025: The food was good got a pizza and it was nice,the dough is very light and tasty, however the service is just amazing if it’s the employees talking to the customers or the employer / chef talking to his employees, a lot of jokes from the chef to his employees which is very nice of him and he wasn’t acting bossy or anything so it’s a great atmosphere there. would highly recommend this place

29/05/2025: I had a chai latte, but I didn’t enjoy it as it was a bit too sweet for my taste. I wouldn’t recommend going for the chai, perhaps try something else instead. Nonetheless, I liked the location, it’s a lovely spot to read or just watch people passing by. The staff is attentive, which adds to the overall experience😊
