30/01/2026: THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE TOURIST TRAP. Very expensive for the quality, had much better in Paris with 2 pints of beer each for the same money so extremely disappointed from starter to finish. For the starters my girlfriend had the sheek kebab which wasn't a sheek kebab, not sure what it was but had a taste and seemed mass produced as if it wasn't real meat. I had the boti lamb which was nice, a little chewy but lamb can be that way. However hardly any salad was provided and no asking if we want a poppadom, come on!! My girlfriend had the tandoori chicken for main and it was lucky we were the only ones in there, the owner was choking as he walked away the sizzling was too much. We both sat there trying not to cough for a couple of minutes before trying to eat it was that bad. I had a vindaloo which was spicy to perfect level but didn't have any potatoes! The other very wrong and annoying thing with this place was no prices for the beer, the only one offered was a 330ml and with the whole cost of the 5 dishes we had (had a main saag paneer to share) must have been a fortune. THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE TOURIST TRAP DONT EVER STEP FOOT IN IT.

24/01/2026: I Love this Restaurant. 2020 it was one of a few that was Open due to Lockdown, may i haven't entered or. Anyway the circumstance of hunger did me so and it was auch a lovely experience. 2 years later in March again i showed my then Boyfriend and today Finance this romantic place. I am looking Forward tobmy honeymoon ibam going to come Back again. The food is really delicious and awesome💚 Thanks

04/10/2025: Ordered beef chow mein yesterday and it’s fair to say Íve never been so disappointed in food in my life. This is what I got: 2 small pieces of beef that seemed like they got lost in this massive block of dry noodles. I didn’t have any sauces at home but I would’ve put ketchup in there, that’s how dry the pasta tasted and how desperate I was. Lowkey killed my vibe:/

04/10/2025: We ordered take away Beef Chow Mein yesterday, and it was so so dry. We were extremely disappointed by the fact that we had been waiting about an hour and then gotten super dry noodles. There was also almost no beef in one of our orders. Won’t recommend the noodles at least.

15/12/2025: Great coffee, fresh takeaway food (pastry, sandwiches, salads) and a big selection of artisan grocery items including their own range of excellent balsamic vinegar and olive oils. There's also a sit-in option, which I haven't availed of. Warm and friendly service. Id highly recommend this neighbourhood gem.

28/11/2025: The cutest shop and the coffee was lovely. Really friendly and kind service. And you have to try the cinnamon bun!!! Insanely delish!

02/11/2025: We had breakfast at Foodgame today and were very satisfied overall. The food was really delicious – large portions, and we had bagels and eggs, among other things, exactly as we ordered. The ingredients seemed fresh, the coffee was excellent, and you can tell they place a lot of emphasis on homemade items. The only slight drawback was the noise level: it was quite loud in the café, which made a quiet conversation a bit difficult. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a good breakfast with plenty of choices and a big appetite.

28/10/2025: Staff so friendly to our kids. We love going there at the weekend. Breakfast burrito and avocado toast two highlights. They should sell their chipotle mayo!!!

11/11/2025: I used to eat there up to 3times a week... however, it changed when they served me an old potato salad... which I got intoxicated from it... left the restaurant straight to the toilet... and the worst was the face of the girl when I was saying that I got intoxicated by the old poteto salad... Never again!

26/10/2025: The smoke was unbearable. They really need to fix the kitchen. Also,it's important to be flexible with the menu and accept changes to some plates especially when there are few option that are not classic.

25/10/2025: It is a very cosy place. The service was very good. The waitress was very kind and helpful. Her tattoos were great! 😀 The food was very tasty. It is worth to try a coffee with Baileys!

30/12/2025: Fantastic pizzas, delivered hot. Shame that the chicken was over cooked that the crust was rock hard. The garlic sauce was over powering. Will order the pizzas again.

13/12/2025: First time ordering from here. Got a pepperoni pizza. Really tasty. Will order again Update: Order all the time now. Really can't fault the pizza BUT on the odd occasion its completely different pepperoni for some reason that isnt as nice . Normally the nicest pizza I've ever had

17/01/2026: I used to order from 4Friends back when I worked in the city, back when it was a place you would actively recommend rather than quietly apologise for. I am now living on the other side of town, usually relying on Deliveroo to get my 4friends, and after a lot of travel I found myself back in the city centre this week. Feeling nostalgic and full of goodwill, I brought my girlfriend in, proudly talking it up like a man revisiting an old pub that once served the perfect pint. What I found instead was deeply depressing. The first thing you notice is not the smell of burgers or sizzling beef. It is grime. Tables smeared with old sauce, sticky to the touch, looking like they had lost a fight with a bottle of ketchup sometime last Tuesday and never recovered. The place felt tired, unloved, and frankly unclean. Then came the real horror. After eating, I went downstairs to the toilet and was greeted by a smell so aggressively sewage like that it should come with a warning sign and a hard hat. Sitting upstairs you are blissfully unaware, but once you know, you know. And it makes the idea of eating there again physically impossible. Now to the burgers. I ordered the Professor, a burger I once travelled for, a burger I spoke about with the reverence normally reserved for religious experiences. This version was a pale imitation. Somewhere along the way you have swapped out your beef supplier for something generic, bland, and utterly forgettable. The signature juiciness is gone. The flavour has packed its bags and left without saying goodbye. You can taste the cost cutting in every bite. My girlfriend’s reaction summed it up perfectly. One bite, a pause, and a polite “it’s just ok”. That silence was louder than any review I could write. While I was there, a delivery arrived from Sysco, which rather confirmed my suspicions. This is not progress. This is what happens when you start shaving quality to save a few bob. The place was empty, and that should worry you. I want you to be around. I want 4Friends to succeed. But you do not get there by serving burgers that could have come from anywhere. Behind the counter there were three staff members and a rotating cast of their mates coming in, laughing and joking, while tables sat uncleared and customers sat wondering why nobody cared. Basic stuff is being ignored. Cleaning tables. Keeping the place fresh. Making sure it does not smell like a blocked drain. This place used to be worth the journey. Now it feels like it is going to the dogs. Please go back to the original beef supplier. Please sort out the hygiene. Please fix that smell. Because cutting corners does not save you money in the long run. It just drives away the people who once loved you. Do better. With genuine affection from a once loyal customer.

10/01/2026: Loved this place but recently their portions have reduced (tapioca dice) by almost half and the price has increased. Understandable to have a small price increase but cutting the potion size that drastically was pretty disappointing as someone who has spent a good amount of money here over the years.

23/09/2025: The atmosphere was great, dont get me wrong, but it was pub quiz night and impossible to hear the questions!
